When The Sun Goes Down
Simon was wandering through the library, simply because it made her feel good. She loved books, and loved writing. She wanted to be a part-time author, when she wasn't in a production as an actor. She saw a book title that kind of drew her in. The mysteries of the muggles she was slightly curious to see what wizards know about muggles,but also slightly confused, as she was a muggle born. As she reached to take the book off the shelf, another hand, which she could barely see (the sun was going down) took it off the shelf before she could. "hey, I was gonna read that, ya know?" She exclaimed. It felt as though she was talking to the air. The sun had gone completely down, which meant she was no longer supposed to be in the library. "Who's there? Sorry. I didn't know you were alo going for it." A voice whispered back. Simon hadn't expected someone to respond. She thought she had scared them off. "I'm Minnie." the girl pulled something from her pocket. "Lumos." Her wand lit as she said the word. "oh- I-I'm Simon." Simon responded. "Do I know you?" "maybe. Are you a hufflepuff?" Minnie asked.

Minnie held out her wand, still a little surprised someone was there this late. She had decided to stay late because no one was going to be there and she could peruse the shelf without interruption. And as that voice in her head was going on and on about her being a rule breaker, she decided she was bending the rules, not breaking them. "Oh...I...nice to meet you Simon. What the heck are you doing here?" Not that she was going to tell Simon why she was there. She shouldn't have told her her name at all. Looking at the girl through the low light, she could tell the girl seemed innocent. Unlike her. Minnie gave the book to her, knowing that she didn't really want to read it anyway. It was fine, and it was going to stay fine. What if this was a prefect or a teacher? I'm going to have to be much more careful in the future. But at least this is a warning, not a punishment. At least, if she doesn't turn me in. Especially because...nope. Not happening. Not going to tell her, and she isn't going to ask. Shaking the thought out of her head, she looked at Simon and waited for the answer.

"I stayed late by accident" Simon said, taking the book as it was being handed to her. "Why are you here?" "Oh, um, I-I- same reason." This, Simon could tell was a lie. So, she spoke. "Rule breaking?" She guessed. Do I turn her in? She did lie. Lying had always been a pet peeve of Simon's. "No. I told you, the same reason!" Minnie protested. She sure was stubborn! Ok, I'm sorry." Simon said, "Thanks for the book." "No Problem." Minnie replied. Simon could hear feet shuffling, as if either minnie was leaving, or someone else was in the library. She decided to test her luck. "Where are you going?" She asked. "Er, nowhere. just shifting my weight. Are you gonna leave any time soon?" Minnie responded. Now that Simon thought about it, Minnie hadn't made enough noise to have been walking around. Okay, now I'm getting curious. Simon thought. "Did you come to check out a book? you won't be able to." She asked. "No. I normally just steal-borrow them." Minnie said. "Ok." Simon said. "Back at home," She started, laughing, "I would do the same thing to my sister's scissors. Steal, use, put 'em back." New friend? Simon thought.
