Study Group -1st years- Finished

The door to the Divination classroom opened again, but this time a Slytherin boy came through. "We should really cast a locking spell on that door" thought Ehsi. The boy came into the room a bit too calmly for someone that just walked into the middle of an argument. Malin was sarcastically scolding the boy for eavesdropping before she turned to Eliza who was still situated under the table "So why are you here? And why are you under a table? Is it a hobby of yours? Hiding under tables, that is." Malin questioned before she turned back to Ehsi, "...And you.."If you could be so kind as to share with the rest of the class why you're here as well?" "Class?? There were only 4 people in this room including myself, you can hardly call this a "class" Ehsi really wanted to say but held her tongue. When she actually thought about it her reasoning for being in the divination classroom was a bit ridiculous that she kind of didn't want to say. Thankfully, Eliza answered the question that was directed to her before Ehsi could speak. Eliza,being a talkative person continued, which gave Ehsi the perfect chance to change the subject.
1)"If you'd like, um...I was thinking that we could make a study group that could study together whenever we made a time to. If you don't want to, we don't have to but it is a way to get to know each other."
2)"Why would a fifth-year want to hex you? Did you do something that they didn't like?"
3)"Does anybody have a clue as to whether or not we're allowed to be here?"
Out of all the three options, Ehsi decided the first would be her ticket out of Malin's questioning.. "I think a study group is a great idea" Ehsi said, the first time she'd talked to Eliza and it was to save herself from further questioning, that's really Slytherin like of her.
She hoped that nudging the conversation in that direction would get Malin off her back.

"I was going to um...ask others later but then y'all came in so...we can ask around," Elizabeth said, "But does anybody have a clue as to whether or not we're allowed to be here?"

Then turning to Malin she said, "Why does a fifth-year want to hex you? What did you do?" And then she turned to Prat, "Are you just going to sit there or what? We're just arguing at this point and that's not fun to listen to I don't think."

Turning back around, she half-expected the door to open but it didn't. Waiting for the others to respond, she thought about her future pranks. Should she attempt to create chaos now and possibly ruin the chances of starting a study group?

Just then her stomach growled and she said, "Well, it's getting close to dinnertime. We should finish up in here and head to dinner. Also return what you have to your dorms and then head to dinner. We can finish the conversation on the way to dinner if we're just heading straight there if you'd all like. If it was up to me, I would finish the conversation as we were heading to dinner. I'm hungry."

As Prat Settled down some girl started scolding him,after a point Prat decided to ignore it,deeming her words as "The screechings of a squirrel" in his mind,paying no mind to her after comment about his upbringing and instead decided to focus his attention towards the girl only when she announced how an Year Five was after her to Hex her but his focus quickly snapped back to he girl was under the desk after she asked him "Are you just going to sit there or what? We're just arguing at this point and that's not fun to listen to I don't think."

Prat replied to her in a sublty mocking tone "What'd you have me do? Go against an Year Five for a loud mouth who didn't think about the consequences?" as he scoffed even thinking about it.
"It's an Year five,not a Five year old, I have no incentive to help her,Yet.

BUUUUT, if i was bribed with the promise of 1 butterbeer in every month of year 3, we could all together come up with something to gaslight your Pursuer and make them doubt themselves"

Right as Prat finished speaking Elizabeth announced to everyone in the room "If you'd like, um...I was thinking that we could make a study group that could study together whenever we made a time to. If you don't want to, we don't have to but it is a way to get to know each other."

Prat though of this as another opportunity to get more contacts and possibly better his grades while making a few friends,replying with, "Sure,why not,a club would be cool,we could help each other with homework and assignments even backlogs." .

Prat sighed,adjusting his glasses as he waited to hear a reply to Elizabeth from others and then decide where to go from there.

"Well whoever said anything about going against fifth-years? Nobody!" Elizabeth said, and turned back around. "Nobody's answered my question still! Does anybody have a clue as to whether or not we're allowed to be in here? Or, if nobody answers my question, I'll ask a teacher."

"And, for further information about where I'm going," For she had her hand on the handle, "I'm going to dinner. As soon as my question is answered which I need an answer to now I'll be heading to dinner."

Opening the door, she stumbled back a step as students brushed past on their way to dinner. Then she shut the door, keeping her hand on the door handle. "And, you still haven't answered my question! Why does a fifth-year want to hex you?" She said to Malin.

Why was everyone ignoring her except for Prat? Well, they might be thinking of what to say or something like that. Adjusting her bag, she released her hold on the door and moved a little ways away as nobody was going to answer her questions anytime soon.

"Well, we might as well end the arguments here if we're just searching for what to say or something. I'm gonna leave as soon as someone answers my questions! Like the one who has a fifth-year wanting to hex her! Why does a fifth-year want to hex you? And a question for anyone, who knows if we're allowed to be in here? I want to know. In fact, I need to know in case we could get detention by standing here right now if a teacher walked in!"

Glancing at an orb she grinned, maybe detention...no, she did not want to get into detention anytime soon.

Malin turned sharply to Prat.
"I never said I wanted you to 'go against a fifth-year,'" She defended calmly. She had had very many arguments in her life and if Elizabeth classified this as an argument, then it was a pretty lame one.
"A fifth-year wants to hex me," She began, then turned to Prat, "Not because of my loud mouth," Then she thought about it, "Well, not this time," Looking back at Elizabeth she continued, "I merely stole his precious little quill on a dare." She said, only a little proud of herself.
She wasn't actually angry, of course. When it came to arguments she had had enough in her life that she could keep her calm.
She looked around the room and, for the first time, actually thought about how ridiculous this whole situation was.
Four first-years were standing in a room they weren't allowed to go into and arguing about...
Malin paused, "Wait," She looked around the room, "Why are we even fighting?" She questioned.
None of them had interacted with the other before, none of them had any history with each other, and none of them personally gave Malin a reason to dislike them.
If they were all strangers to each other, then why had they begun arguing in the first place?
Oh, that would be me, she realized.
She was the one that made Ehsilat mad in the first place and she was the one that just had to be sarcastic to Prat and to top it all off she was the one that started Elizabeth and Prat's spat about the fifth-year.

"Wow. No wonder he wants to hex you! Well, maybe heading down to dinner with someone would prevent him from doing that. And isn't magic not allowed in the corridors," Elizabeth asked, "I still have one question that's still unanswered. Does anybody know whether or not we're allowed to be in here?"

"I was just studying in here...probably illegally but I don't know...and then you came in," she said, gesturing to Malin, "and then she came in," gesturing to Ehsilat, "and then he came in," gesturing to Prat, "and then we started arguing. How about we all head down to dinner and make up, ok?"

She opened the door in case they did want to leave and said, "So, are we going down to dinner and making-up or are we going to finish the argument which will make us miss dinner? I don't know about you guys but I certainly want dinner."

Then she picked up her bag which had fallen to the ground softly. Hm...Except for asking things over and over again, there isn't much I actually did...Aside from being a bit rude to Prat I guess. Then she said, "Well, sorry for being insistent on asking questions. I do want to know the answer to them though. And I'm sorry for being rude Prat."

Finally, as a last remark she said, "I'll repeat it one last time though. Does anybody have a clue as to whether or not we're allowed to be in here?"

''I never said i'd do it for you,I was just calculating my chances against an Year Five,and they do not look good''Prat replied back sharply.

Prat shook his head and sighed to himself after hearing Malin describe how she got herself into a dare and stole Someone's Quill,albeit seemed dumb in his mind, he still appreciated the attitude and guile enough to steal from a bigger and more experienced Student.
Though he won't show it he still had some ounce of respect for her growing in his head unlike his usual callous unconcerned approach to people in his life.

Prat was enjoying this ridiculous situation,no sense of order,all chaos,everyone around arguing about something they'll forget in a day

Turns back to Malin,curious about what she'd do with the quill now that she's run off with it,
"That quill,what are you gonna do with it?
We should break it into several peices and scatter them all around Hogwarts, give him his own version of the hunt for horcruxes,it'd be hilarious if we finds them all and uses repairo on them,We shoul crack it into 8 pieces."

Prat cracks a devious smile imagining the trouble that senior will have to go if Malin accepts his idea of this prank.

As they all start leaving for dinner he shouts out to Elizabeth to answer her Query after she keeps repeating herself like a parrot with "I'll repeat it one last time though. Does anybody have a clue as to whether or not we're allowed to be in here?"

Prat replies calmly,"Ofc we're allowed to be here,as long as no one finds out we're here.",before walking out the door and proceeding to main hall for Dinner.

Thinking to himself while walking to dinner, "I hope they have sandwiches at dinner".

"Um...are we though? Well...I should make sure that we are. I mean, what if a teacher catches us and..." Elizabeth began but stopped as she watched Prat leave the room and head down to dinner.

"Well...Is he right that we are allowed to be in here? Cause I don't know." Elizabeth said, shifting her feet, wanting to run all the way downstairs, eat her food as fast as she could, race back up to the library, and study till she was supposed to be in her dorm.

"And don't take up Prat's offer about breaking the quill. You don't want to get into detention. And, if you do take him up and get caught, well...that's what you're gonna get," Elizabeth said and then added, "On the other hand, if you do take him up, I could help you if you'd like. Get back into my prank mode."

"What do y'all say about heading down to dinner right now? If she wants to," nodding towards Malin, "we can break the quill and risk getting detention. After all, it'll help me get into my prank mode which is basically my normal mode," Elizabeth said, grinning at the idea, "Course, we don't have to do that if you don't want to. Oh and, on my way here, um...I saw that Ravenclaw was in the lead by 4 points. I really hope we win because it'll be a great way to 'start' the year. It'll be fine if Slytherin wins I guess."

Ehsi was semi-glad everyone wasn't paying attention to her, the questioning finally stopped and the "conversation" changed to another topic.
Prat and Eliza were arguing over whether or not first years were allowed in the divination classroom, Eliza getting clearly annoyed at Prat's clever remarks before Prat left for dinner.
Malin has been quiet for a while which made her kind of suspicious to Ehsi.
Ehsi's stomach growled ferociously at the thought of finally finishing all the arguments and heading to dinner, like Prat had done.
Eliza had been talking ever more so, and Ehsi did like the girl, really but sometimes she talks too much. Through their very little time spent in the divination room, she'd learn how to tune people out significantly and only hear the bits you'd want to hear.
Ehsi learnt a lot about the other first years from observing quietly, for example,Eliza has a rebellious side to her after offering to help Malin break the quill she stole into 8 pieces(of course for very nonsensical reasons suggested by none other than Prat Pass himself)
Prat Pass likes to prode chaos wherever he goes and Malin is really confident to steal a quill from a fifth year.
Ehsi's stomach grumbled again signalling to her it was time to head to dinner, "I'm heading down to dinner if any of you would like to come with?" Ehsi said as she walked towards the door, she turned to face the two girls"Also since we are a club now, what time do we meet up for?" She waited for an answer and when she received it,she turned back to the door and left. Venturing off to dinner.

"Um...I'll come as soon as Malin and I finish up. We might meet up right after dinner if that works. If not, we can meet up then and find a time to meet." Elizabeth said and thought Well, I guess nobody's going to answer my question about being allowed in here.

"So, are you heading down to dinner," She asked Malin, "We're the only ones left so we might as well. I'll go in about a minute even if you aren't. It could provide protection from that fifth-year that you ran from."

She quickly checked the room and walked over to where Prat had been sitting, put the chair back, and scooted the orbs away from the edge of the counter before turning back to Malin.

"I am really hungry so, let's go," She said and pulled Malin's arm gently but enough so that they were both by the door, "Even if you don't feel hungry, you probably are so let's go." She finished and, gently pulled Malin out of the classroom, forgetting to close the door.

As she saw a fifth-year narrow his eyes at Malin, she took the quill and handed it to him which he thanked her for before turning away and heading down to dinner. They followed shortly after, leaving the seemingly empty Divination classroom behind.

The teacher who's classroom it was they had just exited would probably be exasperated to find that the door that had been closed was now wide open which meant that someone had been in. The teacher would also find a parchment that was, fortunately enough, signed.



The note wasn't private because she had been intending to show proof to people who said that she didn't have a friend that, yes, she actually did have a friend. Perhaps the note would be found by a student who would show it to everyone, trying to get it back to Elizabeth. Perhaps it would be found by the teacher who would try and find the student named Elizabeth.

There was only one definite thing about the note. It looked private but it wasn't. It was also in the Divination classroom where 1st years weren't really supposed to be.
