Abandoned Seeing the divination classroom for the first time

@Sereia Clairmont

A young first year hufflepuff was wandering around the castle looking for something. She opened the door to a nearby classroom and marveled at the decorations in the classroom it was an amazing sight seeing the divination classroom for the first time. She noticed her cat on the table with a bunch of crystal balls and noticed his paw nearing one of them

"No, Ace," she picked him up before he was able to knock it off the table

"You can't knock stuff down in here"

"I was looking everywhere for you ace,"

She held her cat in her arms and continued to look around the classroom, marveling over everything that was there

"This is the best classroom I've seen here by far. I wonder why I wasn't assigned here to take this class."

she said, unaware she had to be older to take that class. she continued holding her cat and began looking around at everything there was there, taking it all in

"I wonder what they learn in this class it is so amazing. right Ace"

her cat looked at her and meowed, seeming to agree with her. she sat down in a seat and imagined herself being in this class.

Sereia's Calming Presence is in effect
"You don't happen to be a First Year, don't you?" Sereia said as she watched from the top of the stairs leading to her office. It was rare to see someone awe at her classroom with its, what, many dramatic (and eccentric) curtains, dreary atmosphere, and weird symbols all over the walls. Of course, she knew exactly what the symbols were but others often found them unnerving to see upon first glance.

So to have a student be in genuine awe of the place was a breath of fresh air. Sereia began walking down the steps towards the classroom. "Hi, I'm Professor Clairmont. This is where I teach Divination. You have to be Third Year and up to take this." She smiled. Sereia looked towards the orange cat in her arms before looking at the girl again. "What's your name? And oh, thank you for keeping them off my crystal balls. Someone came in here last time breaking them all."

She couldn't help but roll her eyes as she recalled that memory. Maybe she was happy the boy got pulled out of Hogwarts; he apparently had a track record for causing damage. How much did that one kid cost alone?

Sereia cleared her throat and headed towards the table the girl was sitting at. With a tap of the crystal ball, she said, "We learn how to read the future here. I like to think it's fun, but it's not everyone's cup of tea." She hummed and stared into the fog already accumulating glass orb.

She looked over when she heard the professor enter the room

My name is Amanda, and this is my cat Ace. I don't know what has gotten into him recently. He got away from me, and I found him in here. I couldn't let him knock it off since it would make a mess and be inconvenient for you.

she watched on as the orb started to fill with fog

wow, how do you do that it looks amazing. this whole classroom does. this looks like a very interesting class to take. I mean, when does one get to learn about this kind of stuff? do you also use tarot cards in this class? Also, I've seen some before they are fascinating to see, but I'm never sure what they are supposed to mean. how can you determine what different symbols are supposed to mean?

she seemed very interested in the subject and was already eager to take the class

why do you have to be a third year to take this class? Is it very challenging?

Her cat jumped out of her arms and sprinted out of the classroom door, and she sighed.

I think he's looking for more trouble to get into.

Elizabeth ran down the corridor, excited to be free. Suddenly, she skidded to a stop for there was a door that was ajar. The room was strangely empty and she slowly walked in. Her parents had mentioned something like this-what was the class name-oh yes, Divination.

"Wow! The orbs, everything! I love this so much!" She breathed in amazement, "The thing wrong is that I'm not old enough. I don't think Mama and Papa said what year you have to be to take this. Well, I'll send a letter to them asking."

She looked up at the ceiling and sighed, this was truly the best classroom ever that she had seen in her life. Why couldn't she be older already? If only time would speed up, then maybe I could take it earlier.

Peering outside, she saw nobody and heard nothing so she knew that she could spend some time in the classroom. She took out some parchment out and sat at a desk. "I might as well do some homework here. I'll try and be quick, might be against the rules to do schoolwork in here." She said out loud and settled down to her work. It was great.
