Slytherin vs Gryffindor: Match 1
How fitting it was for Astrea's Confringo, as the Slytherin team's only real tool of destruction amidst perpetual bindings, to meet its mark after a duel full of cornered disadvantages. Surely, it was only karma that had backfired upon one of their opponents for even attempting to disable all three Slytherins so cheaply. Clearly, respect had not managed to grace Hogwarts’ halls.
Yet no amount of true aim or respect could account for the chaotic factor of luck as a crack of electricity shot through her, the white-hot pain of magical hubris momentarily stealing away her hearing and tightening her wand hold into a white-knuckled grip.
Practically— and perhaps even literally, if she had any care for the battered state of the piste surrounding her— smoking with disapproval at the sheer lost potential of the duel, whatever strange, wholly unladylike and entirely un-Astrea appeals of emotion had no place in her heart. Righteous retribution, as sweet as it tasted, would need to wait until the next opportunity.
Action: Doing as strategised.

Jake was a bit worried about Dmitri to be honest...the boy had been struck by lightning just moments before and it seemed to have done something to his brain. Though the Slytherin was still bound and tied up from his fulgari, he had begun muttering, and when Jake overheard what he said, he soon realized what it was. The beginning of that speech was un-forgettable. Jake didn't know what types of effects an overload of electricity could bring to you, but worryingly, Dmitri now seemed to believe that he was inside of the Bee Movie! Most at Hogwarts probably wouldn't know what that was - but Jake grew up a muggle, and so he knew about the animated movie. He'd used to watch it when he was younger, in fact. It had actually been a pretty good movie about environmental protection in Jake's opinion, but most people didn't get to that part since there was that whole thing with the human falling in love with a bee. In any case, Dmitri seemed to know it quite well, and Jake thought there was a chance he was going to need to be checked at the hospital wing after this. He hoped there was some kind of potion for this, because it seemed to be a serious case....
Dmitri was too pre-occupied with his new bee life to break free of his bonds, but Bridget was struggling to get back into the fight before it was too late. Miraculously she managed to break the bonds off her arms, which was more than could be said of poor Alan, who was still struggling with his own bonds of karma. But in the time it took to do it it would be too late to cast...
The Gryffindors tried to fortify their position. Meenauh got rid of the storm cloud mercifully. For a second, Jake thought she had taken pity after watching so much of the other team get struck by lightning. But then it occurred to him that that spell could just as easily have blown back in their direction. Galton made sure to heal his partner, who had been taking a bit of damage from the Slytherin team. The Gryffindors could afford to take their time, the victory was in their grasp.
The Slytherins however, could not afford to waste a second. And Astrea knew it. The girl eyed her targets and let loose. A DOUBLE confringo, speeding towards Meenauh and Galton. Galton managed to dodge out of the way at the last second, singed by the radius of the blast. Meenauh was not so lucky, and once again she felt the wrath of confringo, blowing her backwards. Bridget had her wand, Astrea was on the attack, but unfortunately....
"And that's time! Jake called out, waving his arms frantically to stop the duel before anybody else exploded. This was going to be a hard one...a real judgment call. Jake eyed both teams, taking stock of their condition. Had things gone longer, it might have been different - the momentum had been starting to turn, and Meenauh had taken a lot of damage - but Jake could only call what he could see, and after those strikes of lightning, the Slytherin team seemed just slightly worse for wear. After a momentary pause, not wanting to rush into a decision and make the wrong one. Jake finally called out the results. "Gryffindor wins!" he said, pointing to the Gryffindor team. "And uh....Dmitri?" (Beemitri? Dbeetri? Dmibee?) "Can you come see me after this? Just wanna make sure everything's...ok."
GRYFFINDOR WINS!
