Closed PV: QUINN ROOT

Andy was walking along the edge of the great lake and listened to the sounds of the Hippogriffs as he walked. He was licking a peppermint toad and sipping on pumpkin juice. He listened to the mer people as they splashed along the side of the lake. It was a sunny day, October 15th, and it felt nice for the breeze pull your hair back. As Andy walked he spotted a bench on the side of the lake which was empty. He opened his book bag, put the peppermint toads and juice on one side, and his DADA homework on the other. He flipped through the pages and read about all the Hexes, curses, jinxes, and much more. He noticed that he was not the only one on the border of the great lake. As he read through chapters, and wrote down notes, he got to the most annoying essay about the Killing curse and why it was unforgivable. Andy put the book down and decided to go and lay on a patch of grass. He took his bottle of pumpkin juice and sipped it until there was nothing but a glass bottle. He stuffed al his work into his Book bag and went on another walk around the perimeter of the lake.

Quinn walked out of the common room, She was sick of being caught up inside. And she spent most of the day outside yesterday. Ever since her first year she really, really disliked being in the common room. Not only was it in the dungeons, but everything was all dark and 'mysterious'. There had been quite a few times when she though about breaking into the Hufflepuff common room for some color exposure. There were tragically lots of things stopping that from ever happening.

She walked step, after step, after step.. and after step. Walking until she left the confines of the castle and felt the grass on the tips of her toes. During breakfast Quinn had though to look out a window to see the whether, havening seen the sun out, unlike yesterday. she chose to be outside. With her now being in the outdoors she walked, not really having a place in mind.

So she just walked until she found something, it was not a huge surprise really when that something was the great lake. It was after all quite big. She smiled to herself, It was close to her favorite place to be, next to only the library. She walked until the water covered her feet, there was no harm in that. She had learned from her mistakes of going out to far. Having nearly drowned before.

But just her feet was fine, and felt really nice. She took off her jacket and placed it down on the ground. So that she could sit on it, and still keep her feet in the water. Quinn looked around, and saw Andy, the boy she had helped with homework walking in her general direction. "Hey Andy!" She called out to him, giving a friendly smile. "How did the charms homework go?" She asked, after all that was what he said he would be doing when he left.

"Hello, Quinn!" Said Andy from the bench. "Charms was actually easier than I suspected!" Andy took a toad from his bag and threw it to Quinn. "It is a new flavor! It is even more mintier than before!" Andy pointed at the bag and it said, "EXTRA MINT" in golden letters. Andy took a bite out of his toad. "Today I had History of magic... which was the first piece of homework I got a D on..." Said Andy frowning. He took a book which said a History of Magic. "Well, at least I won't be bored. I love reading. What about You? " I don't get it. Is the great Lake passing the boarder of Hogwarts and Non Hogwarts, or it is still in the walls?" Said Andy examining the wall and lake and taking notes in his text book for History of Magic. " Is the water warm? Might go for a swim." Said Andy taking of his robes. He still kept his shirt on. " Are their any creatures that bite in the lake? I hope their isn't..." Said Andy looking nervous. "I... am... not really... er... it fells... Weird... sitting next to a girl..." I just don't know why..." Said Andy blushing and offered a peppermint toad to Quinn.

She caught the toad with much ease, "Glad to hear it!" She smiled, taking a lick of the peppermint. "Thats good. Really good!" She with a fond look on her face. It was much better then she thought it would be. She finished eating one of the toads leg's when Andy told her he got a D. "Sorry to hear that, but there will be other chances to get better grades." She did her best to give a little comfort, but that was never her strong suit. She looked down at her hands, with nothing more to say.

She looked up, her eyes having changed to a gold color when he mentioned reading. "I love reading!" She all but shouted, She quickly calmed down. Changing her eyes back to there natural brown. "I mean. Yes, reading is great." She laughed. The laughed died down into a sigh. As she looked across the lake. "I think it's still apart of Hogwarts." She answered the question, Well more so shared her opinion.

She nodded when he asked if the water was warm. "It's great, just a little chill to it." He then took his robes off, saying he may swim. "I mean, if you think you wont get caught." There was a glimmer in her eye. She was not a stranger to misfit. "As for things that bite, I don't think so. I mean there are mermaids, but I don't think they come up often." She told him.

He then said something, or well tried to. It sounded like to Quinn at least, that he tried starting seven different sentences at once. "Um... I don't know why either." She said with a confused look on her face. Would he not have sit next to girls all the time? She then saw the blush on his face. "Oh." She said, if she did not know better, and she did not really. She would think Andy had a crush. "Andy. Do you have a crush? Because your face is really, well- blush-ey" She asked. It was a tad blunt, but she was curious.

Andy ignored that question and became normal again. He pretended like he didn't hear that. He took out his Transfiguration text book and started reading a few chapters before he could no longer hide the blush. He put on the hood of his robes. He looked at his dress suit and back at his book like he had a stain at it. As it was getting darker, Andy took a candle and Muttered, "Incendio." The candle lit up. He put it near his book and kept on reading, until he felt hungry. He took out his bag of Peppermint toads, lazy to go to dinner. The owls started hooting when Andy read his last chapter of the book. "Well, do you have any spells that form food, or a invisibility charm. I always wanted to stay out side of the Hogwarts castle before curfew. "I love sneaking away from professors and staying outside past curfew. Are you with me? If we get caught, I will take the blame." Said Andy, blowing the candle and putting all of his books away. "If not... see you at breakfast..." Andy was hoping if Quinn new any spells that make him and her invisible. "Are you with me? Do you want to stay in past curfew?"

He ignored her question. Ignored her question and started reading. Sure Quinn understood ignoring questions that you did not want to answer. But he had read quite a few chapters. Things got pretty quite after that, Quinn looked at her feet still in the water, pulling them out as she did not want those weird water wrinkles. Hugging her knees to her chest.

Quinn shook her head when he finally spook. It had been a while full of uncovertebral silence. "Nah, that magic is to advanced for me." She sighed, it would make things easer if she could go invisible though. "I wish I had an invisibility cloak.." She trailed off looking over the lake.

She smirked, "Sure, Ill stay out a bit." She looked over at him, the shadows covered his face. It was smart to put out the candle. "We could probably just say we lost track of the time. That way we might get out of it without detention." She let out a laugh. Out of all the trouble she got into, she could only think of one time she was caught.

"I think i'm pretty lucky with getting away with trouble." She adjusted her earrings. "I heard somewhere the stars are really pretty out here. No light pollution from the muggle lights or something like that." She let out a small laugh. She could not really see the stars that well at night from the common room, with it being in the dungeons and all.

Andy was walking near a lake. It was already pitch black. Yo, Quinn, know Lumos, to light up the wand? Andy asked. If you don't I can light a candle with another spell. Andy was Very scared since the pitch black sky was even blacker than before. Andy walked and felt the seaweed on the lake shore, thinking, that he should reveal the secret. He thought for another time, he should tell Quinn. Andy was shaking, since it was cold. He forgot his winter coat with him. It was already the middle of november and the leaves started falling of of the trees. Andy heard the wind singing it's sun. Here, I know a good place for star gazing. Their are Astronomy tables somewhere near here. Andy walked around the huge lake and almost went to the entrance of Hogwarts. There, a Astronomy table lay, in the open, and visible by the moon light. Verdimillous... Andy murttered as the spell scanned for people nearby. Andy told Quinn to follow again, and led her to the table. The stars are buetiful, aren't they? Andy looked more at the stars, Wished Quinn good bye, and hurried to his common room for sleep.
