Nichlas gaze sharpened ever so slightly as he watched the cogs turn in her head, as the little girl caught on to the unfiltered honesty Nichlas had provided. He held Hogwarts in little regard. But of course the school needed prefects, their staff were useless nuisances. His own encounter with their nurse had proven that much to be true. "We don't really disclose the location to those unworthy of its magnificence," he brushed her off coldly. His eyes subtly narrowed before his lips quirked into a standoffish smile. "Just one more reason to tell you nothing of it, it's cold embrace would twist your stomach, little girl." There was no open hostility in the manner of which he spoke, but it was nonetheless belittling of her efforts to make conversation. Efforts that seemed dispelled by the abrupts disregard of her curiosity and the little patience Nichlas was willing to offer a girl who wished to interrupt his lonesomeness.

Nichlas considered how or if he should reply to her once more, after all he had not expected to spend his freetime chatting with someone much younger who would pelt him with question after question. However he felt enticed by the idea of badmouthing the 'noble' school of Hogwarts anf found himself willing to answer more honest after all, rather than just brushing off her antics once more. "I have been to the school and must say I found both the curriculum and the castle's library lacking, Though the view from the owlery and the surrounding area is quite pleasing to behold," Nichlas offered. There was no sharpness in his voice, but that did not mean he would sugarcoat his opinion either. The only thing good about that school seemed to be the castle itself and the odd student was, at the very least, bearable. Just because this girl reminded him of his little sister, did not mean he would hold her to a lower standard. Especially not after all the questions that tested his patience with this encounter.

Nichlas took a mental note of the girl's parents protectiveness. "Perhaps it is wise for your parents to keep you away from that school as much as they can, but yes, I am going to attend it," he responded, weighing his words carefully as to not say too much or too little to satisfy her curiosity and stop an onslaught of more questions. His own reasonings for going however, he felt unnecessary to disclose to a stranger, even for the sake of small talk. His parents usually pushed him to attend such social events and accept the invites of the foreign schools. He used to go more freely, to protect his sister who adored the idea of attending summer camps. Now he just went in silent resignation and because his unlust to go was bested by the possibility to make valuable connections and show the strength and superiority of their schooling and heritage. He liked to flaunt his skill and capabilities and attending that school's social events tended to be a good boost for his ego.

For her last question and following exclamation, he merely inclined his head to confirm the stated inquiry. He saw no need to respond verbally to that one, as he had no interest in learning of her family dynamic and her question had already been answered.

The older boy seemed reluctant to give her any information about the location of his school, much to her disappointment. However, Samantha did not consider herself "unworthy of its magnificence", so she spoke up. "Well, if that's the case you can surely tell me! I am very worthy of unworthy of the school's magnificence!" she grinned widely. The belittling tone went straight over her head, both literally and figuratively. Clueless and small, that was what she was. The world still seemed a lovely place to her at this point in her life.

Hogwarts lacking? Samantha had never even considered that. Hogwarts was the greatest place on earth and she didn't understand why this guy spoke badly about it. Maybe he hadn't seen the best places in the castle or maybe he had just had a really bad time when he visited. Yes, that must be it. Otherwise, he would have seen how amazing the school really is! Of course, there were some dangerous things going on at the school, but it wasn't that bad. "The owlery is lovely!" she agreed happily. "My pet owl also loves it, he spends a lot of time up there and is the happiest little owl you will see there. He is quite adorable," she smiled lovingly. Animals were far from her favorite thing but her owl was the exception. "I could show you other great spots at Hogwarts if you are visiting next time! I know all the good places since I am a prefect. I would be a perfect guide!"

A confused look appeared on her face as the boy offered the idea of her parents keeping her away from Hogwarts. "Why would they keep me away from the school? I don't think it would be a very good idea, it would make learning about magic really hard. It's not like they can teach me anything about it," she giggled. Nobody in her family was magical except her. They knew nothing of the magical world and she was the one teaching her parents about it.

"Sisters can be annoying, but overall, I do love mine. I think she is a bit older than you," she explained.
