Another Nice Day
It was another nice day, her classes were completed for the day and she didn't have any homework to catch up on. Delilah decided to take a walk by the lake, maybe study a bit, she had been sitting in the Ravenclaw commonroom for a little while now, reading a book on the theory of Charms and spells. Delilah closed it as she walked towards the exit, slowly making her way down the many, many staircases to the ground floor and outside. She walked towards the great lake, her third favourite place in this gigantic school. She had just written a letter to her granny and had it folded up in the pocket of her robes, waiting to be sent away next time she went to the owlery.
Delilah loved her Granny very much, she was the only family she had and when Delilah was at home she spent almost all of her time in the company of her elderly grandmother. Delilah had reached the part of the lake where she had remembered meeting Siege, she didn't think the memory of him would-be fading anytime soon, that was anything but a calm encounter. She walked a little further to a tree just off of the shore of the lake, Delilah sat down next to it, her back leaning against it. She looked out onto the water, the dark liquid with the unknown creatures lurking in its depths. She wasn't sure what was in there but she was sure she saw a tentacle come out of there once. Delilah opened up her book again and continued reading where she had left off in the commonroom, her small posture leaning on this great tree, it made her look a little bit insignificant in the grand majesty of it all, but she didn't mind because she was reading good study materials.
Dear Granny,
I've made a few friends now from all the different houses and met loads of nice people, I really miss you though. I haven't failed a single homework yet and a couple people have already congratulated me because I have the most house points in Ravenclaw and almost in the entirety of first year students. How is life going on back home? Has the library got any new books in that I could borrow in the holidays? So far I haven't gotten in trouble at all and it seems like most of my teachers like me, except professor Mellowrose, but I'm not sure that he likes anybody, he seems to just either be extremely tired or extremely angry all the time. I feel kind of bad for him, he must not get much sleep at night. Anyway make sure to reply soon.
Love you,
Delilah ♥

Another Nice Day
Sarah had heard stories of how beautiful Hogwarts’ Great Lake was; she’d seen pictures in books and her grandmother once told her a story about her younger self coming out and being dared to skinny dip. Her grandmother was extraordinary and the mere thought of her made her smile. Sarah had sat for the final ten minutes of her final class of the day, thrumming her fingers against the desk. She’d always been slightly impatient and after seeing the bright sun already beginning to set, she was anxious to actually go out to see the Lake herself.
Eventually, she was dismissed from Transfiguration and quickly excused herself from the group of Slytherins she was currently talking to. As the Great Lake came into her line of sight, Sarah let out a small gasp; pictures and stories had done the sight no justice. There was something so surreal about the scene: the water and the tress and the warm breeze that ghosted against her pale skin. Momentarily, she forgot where she was, it was like a scene out of one of the books her mother had read to her when she was younger. It was beautiful.
As she approached the bank of the lake, she spotted a large tree, beside which stood two Ravenclaw’s which she began to walk towards. As of yet, she’d not met many people outside of her own house and was excited to do so. “Hello,” she called out when she was closer, a warm smile graving his lips. “Mind if I join you?” She asked, hoping the colour of her tie wouldn’t get her turned down like her earlier encounter in the library.

I'm so sorry I didn't answer ive been super busy with studying for my exams
Delilah heard someone speak and she turned around, smiling at the Slytherin girl, "Of course you can." She turned to face the lake, still smiling as she sees a ripple appear far off into the water and she immediately started imagining what creature created it, could it have been a merperson maybe? Or maybe something else. She looked over at the Slytherin, "Have you ever seen anything like it?" She faced the water once more, it was only a lake and yet it was so unbelievably beautiful. The beautiful scottish mountains in the distance, surrounding one side of the lake, now Delilah was curious as to what it looks like at sunset, she imagined it would be gorgeous.
Delilah didn't discriminate against other houses, everybody was the same no matter what their house was. She turned fully to the new-comer and extended her hand, "I'm Delilah, it's lovely to meet you." She grinned at the girl to hopefully shake off her nerves, she looked a bit nervous.
Delilah kind of wanted to say her full name because some people reacted to it like she was a celebrity, not many, but still some, although she hadn't gotten many house points in a while so she would have to stay on top of that in the soon future.
