Kyle fought the burning passion urge to rub his nose which was probably broken in several places due to being smacked around by the Whomping Willows branches. It had been his very first race and it was definitely one to remember, for Kyle at least (even though he lost he didn't mind), it was kind of hard to forget when he felt random strikes of pain when he moved his arm the wrong way or accidentally touched a bruise. OUCH! Kyle had to admit you had to be a whole nother breed to be a broom racer, and Kyle was determined to be that breed! He stretched his arms above his head as he walks down the corridors, it was an afternoon on Monday and Kyle was practically done with school, his brain couldn' take anymore knowledge.

Kyle looked towards the windows that were still slightly frosted over, Winter still hadn't left yet but spring was to be arriving in a couple months. Kyle coul barely comprehend how quickly the months went by, it was like laves in the blowing wind he couldn't ever catch.... Colors fading away.... This dark thought was quite a stark contrast to the brewing sunset outside that was filtering through the corridors windows creating the ideal golden hour. It was quite gorgeous, it was always interesting to Kyle how God created beautiful nature and wonders that went unnoticed by millions of not billions of people. Kyle squinted his eyes at the faltering sun before looking back to see a face who knew he had been before. Julia Jenkins? One of the broom racers he had lost against, team Gryffindor, Kyle couldn't help but remember that she had been targeting him almost the entire race... She definitely didn't leave him unscathed.

Kyle couldn't help but be fascinated by the brunette girl, he finally was able to see her as previously they had been flying 100 mph. Her skin and brown eyes glowed gold and amber in the Sunset's rays, but one of the things Kyle couldn't help but notice was her perfect upright posture and her crooked nose. Kyle couldn't help but notice that he was holding his breath for a moment. Odd. He shook it off as he decided to approach her....

"Hey! You're Julia Jenkins right?" Kyle said in his pungent Italian accent. "You tried to kill me, remember?"

Why are you smiling, Idiota! idiot! He thought as he tried to contain his smile.

Julia carried the euphoric feeling of a win with her as she walked through Hogwarts. She had won her first broom racing match, almost finishing first with the exception of the stupid maze at the end. Still, the lions had won, and she was feeling pretty happy with her efforts, including that she'd been able to make some hits on some of the Ravenclaws.

The school day was over, and she'd changed out of her robes into a black leather jacket and a pair of jeans, still trying to thaw out from yesterday's race. Her long sleeves covered her injuries, the rough scratches from the trees being the worst injury she had sustained.

Her eyes caught on someone walking in the opposite direction to her, his dark wavy hair and beautiful cheekbones standing out to her amongst the others in the corridor.

"Hey! You're Julia Jenkins right? You tried to kill me, remember?"

Julia started as she heard the heavily accented English from him, snapping out of her trance to realise who it was. And he was right, she had almost killed him yesterday in her desperation to get a hit.

Her eyes found their way to his, which waited in response for something. Oh, right!
"Um, yeah I'm Julia," she said, unsure what had suddenly affected her ability to speak properly.
Noticing some bruises blooming on his perfectly golden skin, she stared at his shoe and apologised quickly.
She shook her head to clear it, and found his dark eyes again, somehow managing a hesitant, "Um was it your first race too?"

The Gryffindor in her was not Gryffindoring, and that was what confused her the most.

Kyle couldn't help but notice that she only got prettier the more he had neared her, they were now facing each other, and Kyle couldnt help but feel a little intimidated and nervous. But of course he hid this well, the girl met his eyes for a moment causing a small pause before she finally answered.
"Um, yeah I'm Julia," She said before looking at his feet uttering an apology. Her voice was even enchanting.

"No need to apologize Signora miss, I was really just messing with you, though I have to admitt you have great aim! Also would you happen to be part-veela?" He said with a small smile, hopefully letting her know what he meant. It wasn't long before their brown eyes met once more,
"Um was it your first race too?" Julia asked in a kind of hesitant manner.

This question dumbfounded Kyle, it was her first race?! Kyle couldn't help and be in awe at the skill and what he thought experience on the playing field. How could she be so talented? Her first time racing on the team? There was a small pause as Kyle comprehended what she had just said.

"Si, yes.... Dannazione damn, was it really your first race? That's absolutely brillante brilliant! If it wasn't for that maze you would've been first, and it was your very first race? You are very talented Signora Miss you made me think that you had lots of experience!"

He paused for moment once more before talking again.

"But si yes, it was my very first race just like you," Kyle said with a small smile. "By the way, why did you decide to start broomracing?"
Kyle knew why he wanted to race, it was to help channel some of his infinite energy and because he had always dearly loved racing in general whether it was on broom or by foot! He was quite a competitive spirit, one of the additions to why some would say he's rude, he would just say he wouldn't try to make things easy for others. Although of course he made sure to show great sportsmanship either, he may be a jerk but he DID have manners.

Julia shuffled her feet around as Kyle kept talking, calling her part veela. Julia wasn't an expert on magical species, but she knew Veela were very pretty and seductive.

Did that mean he was calling her pretty? Surely not.

Julia noticed that not only did he use an accent, Italian words would often fall through his speech. It was cool, she found herself thinking, and she started unconsciously smiling when he did it.

She blushed as he complimented her skill level, and he voiced what she had been thinking about the maze. "Thanks, I really wish I could've escaped it faster and actually won, but it's fine."

"By the way, why did you decide to start broomracing?" he asked her.

"Well I've really been enjoying Flying and it reminds me a lot of horses riding, which is my passion. I'm pretty competitive too, so it's kind of a perfect mix. But the team was full until now so I wasn't able to join until this race. I don't think I'll stop. How come you started?" she asked, wanting to hear more about him.

As Kyle spoke, she pondered what was happening. Why was she acting so different all of a sudden? Kyle wasn't an alien, he was just a Ravenclaw boy she'd stopped to have a chat with.

That's what she told herself anyway.

Kyle listened attentively to her answer, there was nothing that could pull his attention away from this girl, he listened and watched closely as she spoke. He noticed every movement and look that Julia gave or did. She seemed quite humble despite her exponential skill, people like that were quite hard to come by, yet here he was standing in the presence of such the bee. 🐝

Kyle nodded slowly making sure he properly coded and translated her words although usually he just just half-heartedly listened or communicated, but for Julia... It was different, it was strange to think that it was his first time talking to her, it felt like he had already known her for years. He felt as if he knew the answer before she had even spoke, it was quite an odd ordeal.

Kyle already knew the answer to her question but somehow had gotten lost and began to forgot what he was going to say, there was a small pause between the two before Kyle finally recollected his scattered thoughts.

"Si yes, I also am a very competitive, I have never gone the horse-reading before... Your passion you saw? I enjoy any sort of sports and especially the football and the racing, whether on foot or a Scopa broom.... Broom. I spent a lot of more time outside than my own home with my siblings.... Do you enjoy football? Maybe we could play sometime, if you wanted too."

Kyle seemed to stop speaking for a moment, which in turn allowed Julia to collect her own thoughts and take a breath, before actually listening to his response.

She giggled at bit at his mis-pronunciation of horse riding, knowing not everyone grew up on farms and had the opportunity to go horse riding. But still, she couldn't believe it- horses were the best! Everyone needed to ride a horse once in their life. Julia started picturing her and Kyle riding horses together, laughing as they trotted into the sunset.

Hold on. This was even worse. Now she was in Scenarioland (not that she even knew what that was).

She forced herself to focus on his words, registering he had said he was competitive too. Then he asked her another question and it to her a minute to figure it out.
"Oh, uh, football," she thought out loud. Where she was from football was played with the circular ball and you kicked it. She'd played football a few times with her cousins, so she was comfortable enough to play without being embarrassed.

But what if Kyles' football was played with the weird shaped ball and you used your hands and only kicked it sometimes? That one was confusing.

"How do you play football. I mean, like, where you come from?" She added, not making it any sound any better to herself. Her cheeks flushed pink while she waited for his response.

'soccer' for life and I love the 'confusing' footy too.

KYLE COULDN'T HELP but smile at every little thing Julia would do, she in his eys was jusg absolutely adorable. Kyle hadnt even really noticed the long silent pauses between their exchange of words, it seemed that they were absolutely mesmerized by eachother if you were an outsider looking in... and maybe they were.

"Oh, uh, football," Julia said aloud.

"Siyes."

The girl looked confused as if she was putting together the most difficult puzzle in existence... or otherwise you could say she was even puzzled. sorry about the bad joke.

"How do you play football. I mean, like, where you come from?" She asked, then for whatever reason her face flushed like a beetroot, or rose whichever you may prefer.

"Oh-uh," Kyle sad slightly confused by the question, to him there was only one type of football, the true football in his eyes. It took him a moment to realize and remember American football. "Oh si si yes, yes you mean whether or not it is American football or not. Well no, I like to use my feet, that football is the football that I like. Is that the one that you like more?"

Kyle quietly awaited her response. It wasn't long afterwards that the sun had finished setting leaving them in an almost dark environment, dusk? Maybe. Kyle frowned, how had time fly by so quickly? It really was one's biggest enemy.

"It's already dark?" Kyle said disappointed. "Well I don't want to keep you and longer Signora Julia Miss Julia, I don't want to get you in trouble.... Well, I hope to see you again very very soon. " He said giving a friendly smile shaking her hand patting it with his other.

"Ciao Bye," He gave one last small wave as he walked away to go retire to his dorms, it really was a shame that it was dark already....
