║ Minnie held her breath as she walked out of her dormitory, hoping that no one would wake up. When she got out of the dormitory, she raced to her common room, still being very quiet. As she walked over to the exit, she listened to make sure no one was outside. When she was sure no one was, she ran out, holding her bag tightly. She felt more on edge this evening. She made trips around Hogwarts at night regularly, but tonight felt...different. Like she was going to get caught. I'm being careful. I always am. I just want to go to the restricted section of the library for some reading. She took a deep breath and continued to walk towards the library. She was going to break so many rules.
Minnie entered the library, happy that the librarian was not there. Then she walked over to the restricted section of the library and took out her wand, realizing that she didn't know any unlocking spells. "Fainting Fancies! I hope I know a spell to open this door." Minnie tried the first spell that came to her head. "Alberto." She whispered. Nothing happened, as that spell only opened unlocked doors. Next she tried a fire spell, incendio. "Incendio!" She said, more loudly than intended. But still, no fire came as she hadn't done the movement right, and was still no good at that spell. The last spell she tried was the shooting spell. "Jacular!" She accidentally shouted. Nothing happened of course, as that spell was not meant for breaking down doors. That was when she realized that she had been making an awfully large amount of noise, and could be found out at any minute. her luck was about to run short, and she knew it.║

Maybe I'm Breaking Too Many Rules
Sereia's Calming Presence is in effect
Could you believe it had already been two months since Sereia was hired? And yet, so much had happened in such little time. She talked to a few students, graded many papers, and wrote so, so many lesson plans that her wrist was starting to hurt. While she did grumble about how tedious library research was, she enjoyed the stash she had collected over the weeks to refresh and modernise her curriculum.
Now that things were settled and her curriculum up-to-date (to her liking), she finished up the last of her lesson plans and began carrying the books back to the library. It was late but it was going to be a new week, so better to finish now than try to pick up the pieces during classes. Walking down the halls from the North Tower was unnerving but it did mean everyone was in for the night.
Save for one that Sereia overheard as she entered the library.
At first, she thought it was just her paranoia of being in the dark getting to her, but the unmistakable incantation of a fire spell rung throughout the place. Sereia slowly lowered her stack of books to a nearby table and whispered, "Homenum Revelio."
The faint silver outline of a human body caught her eye. Someone's here past curfew. Sereia did her best to quietly walk over where the outline had been last. She was also careful to not fall over any stray books or topple any shelves. That would've certainly given them the chance to know and realise someone was going to catch them.
Sure enough, there was someone (a student, by the looks of their height) at the doors of the Restricted Section, throwing, not one, but two more spells to try get through the door. Oh, god. She sincerely hoped that this wasn't some 'Dark Lord' wannabe or something. Sereia stepped away from the shelf that had hidden her. "What do you think you're doing?"

║ Minnie's brain stopped for a second when a teacher walked out from a shelf. She had been caught. "Um....I...you see....well....I just wanted to um...sorry?" Everything was going wrong, and Minnie had no clue what to do to fix her current situation. Why weren't you more careful? This is not going to end well. Out loud, she kept trying to make an excuse for being out this late trying to break into the restricted section. I think I may have broken too many rules this time.
"I just was curious about some books in the restricted section...um...I didn't want to read anything too bad. Um...Blood pops!" She started furiously biting her lip, incredibly nervous at having been caught in the act. This is extremely bad. The fear was running very high.
She backed away a few steps, and looked around for an exit. Then she walked backwards a few more steps. She didn't run, but she did wish that she could do something to make this nightmare of a night disappear. She gulped again and went back to thinking about ways to get out of this situation.
"Um...I-are...you are...I don't think I've seen you before. What do you teach?" She backed away a few farther steps, then decided to do something rather stupid. "My name is...Minnie. And um...I would love to be able to go back to bed now..."║

Maybe I'm Breaking Too Many Rules
Sereia's Calming Presence is in effect
Sereia prided herself on her patience. It was the reason she achieved various milestones in life, including her ability to see in the dark [Blindvision]. Normally, she would be very patient about figuring out why children were breaking rules but this case was very different. This girl was no Raizel Voltrouz who was simply wronged and wanted to let out her frustrations. No, this one was simply breaking rules (a good number of them, even) for the fun of it. No emotional reason to back it, just mischief.
It reminded Sereia of the time two kids went into her classroom and broke her crystal balls. There was even dragon dung! The smell took days to get rid of and was an awful place to teach for some time. Luckily, no damage was done to school property this time, just a student trying to get to the wrong place.
Sereia sighed deeply. "Blood pops are public knowledge; they're for dhampirs and you can get them at the school if you need it. And the restricted section is restricted for a reason. You are not to enter until you've completed O.W.Ls and-or are a Seventh Year."
With the kid backing up, she was now on high alert. Sereia kept her grip on her silver lime wand firm out of paranoia. She really hoped the only spell for the night would be that human-detecting spell. "Professor Clairmont. I teach Divination which is only for Third Years and up. I am also new to the school, so that could be a reason why you haven't seen me before."
She raised an eyebrow at the request. Going back to bed? That was definitely happening. "I'm sure your bed would be a lovely place right now." The sarcasm was starting to get to her. Could you blame her? It was incredibly late and sleep sounded so good right now. Sereia paused and took a deep breath. Patience and diplomacy. "Sorry. Sarcasm. I will walk you to your common room- do not complain- and I will formally speak to your Head of House. You will also be getting a detention."
Sereia looked towards the doors of the restricted section and lifted her wand. Considering the student attempted the Opening Charm, the doors were locked. Still, Sereia quickly muttered the incantations to the Locking Charm and the Anti-Alohomora Charm (inside, she was excited. She wanted a reason to use that spell) to secure the entrance. She made a mental note to let Mateo know what spells were placed on those doors so that he could perform the counter-spells.
For now, she put her hands behind her back. "Well, off we go. Time for bed."
Detention time! I will be sending an owl shortly with detention details and everything needed. Feel free to RP an exit from this thread.

║ Minnie sighed and followed the divination teacher back to the Hufflepuff Common room. I'm going to get a detention for this. I cannot believe I got caught. And I didn't even get the book I wanted, most potent potions. I could have turned into a slytherin and go into their common room and say hi to my sister and maybe Kaitlyn. Oh well...I hope I don't get a too bad detention.
"I won't complain. I'm sorry I kept you up. I just wanted a book to let me talk to my sister at night." Well, that was half the truth at least. She thought. She walked with Professor Clairmont and sighed, but didn't complain. She did this to herself after all. No need to make others unhappy. She wasn't really a bad person, she was just curious and really wanted to know some spells and potions from there, not to mention the history she could learn. But no one would understand that, so not one word came out of her mouth, even though her mind felt the injustice of it all.
Why did I get detention? All I did was some slightly not rule approved things. And I did not do anything that I think is bad. I bet she thinks I don't have morals. I have morals! Teachers. But oh well, and what did she say about...blood pops? Oh...my speech expression...hm...yeah that's embarrassing. Minnie sighed and blushed, resigned to her fate of detention. This was not going to be fun.║
