The Burrow
The grounds themselves were one of James' favorite places to go. The large amount of things and activities to do were exciting, and a nice change of place from his original muggle life. It was these reasons and more he insisted on spending most of his time in the outdoor grounds. Upon awakening in his dorm, James got into his casual clothing and immediately ran down the tower and through the corridors. James, who now had on a black cloak with a set of pins he put on, ran into the school grounds, tightly holding onto a leather bag with a parchment sticking out that had no noticeable writing on it from far away.
The great outdoors was a much needed change of scenery for the young boy. After the hectic & tedious classes, James needed somewhere to let off steam. Naturally, most would go onto a rock, or even to the school's qudditch arena nearby to do something that's away from noise or people. But not James. A small boulder covering what lead to a tunnel within the grounds was what James immediately ran towards, as he had a secret hideout where he would study. James pushed the boulder slightly, as it wasn't that hard to move. A small passageway opened up, one only those small and skinny enough could fit through, people like first years. James immediately pushed it back into its original position, covering the tunnel that led to the secret location James was going to.
Upon moving the boulder, there was a small tunnel filled mostly with rocks and such, but nothing that interesting. James did not know what caused such a tunnel, nor did he care. A short way through the tunnel, and there was already his secret hideout. A small cave within the tunnel, closed off by some vines, bushes, and even twigs James had placed. James quickly made his way through, and inside was a table and a single rock James used to sit on. There was an odd tree there as well, something that was natural. The tree, oddly enough, didn't require sunlight to grow. Instead, it was fine just in the cave. This cave was dubbed the Bowtruckle Burrow by James, after the bowtruckle that resided on the tree in the cave. James had named the creature "Jack," after his brother and father which he missed dearly. He hadn't completely domesticated the Bowtruckle, but he did want to. The bowtruckle that resided within the cave was a beige color, similar to that of James' wand. James reached into the front pocket his bag, grabbing a small, dead black beetle-like creature called a woodlouse, and placed it on a branch so the bowtruckle would eat it.
James placed his bag onto the table, which, in truth, wasn't really a table. It was a large, flat rock that James used. James also pulled out the parchment that was previously sticking out, which was actually a map of the parts of the forbidden forest that James had explored, as well as a few creatures within it, which included a single unicorn and groups of foxes and deer. Reaching into his bag, James grabbed a 30.1 centimeter chestnut wood wand and pointed it upward. "Lumos!" James said, firmly gripping his wand. A ball of light was emitted from the slightly bent tip of his wand, illuminating the small cave. James looked carefully over the map, trying to find anything in it that looked like it needed revisiting. However, there was nothing. James then began to study his books, along with doing some homework that needed to be finished, while constantly looking around to avoid getting caught in the cave.

The Burrow
The sunlight lit up Lucette's face as she exited through the Hogwarts doors, coughing into her fist and her face contorting. She staggered slightly and caught herself, before walking at a quickened pace, her other hand tightening its grip on her small sketchbook. Feeling her airways constrict tighter, she hurried across the grass, passing by students who paid her no mind because they were pre-occupied with their own business. She needed to get away. She was livid at the thought of being like this in front of others. Her black Hogwarts robes fluttered as she hurried along, its flaps expressing her franticness. She felt her breathing shorten, and she began to stagger, before going to lean on a boulder, missing it, and falling onto the grass below her. She flipped herself over, now in a sitting position, ignoring the scrapes from the small fall.
Her hand released her sketchbook to plop down with a soft thud onto the damp grass. She couldn't care less, for her hands frantically withdrew into her robe, frisking down its inner pockets. Finding what they were looking for, her fingers removed the cap, placing it carefully into her lap. A small rattling noise was heard she shook the instrument that would save her life. She leaned her head back, staring at the blue sky, breathing out as deep as her lungs allowed. Bringing the mouthpiece to her lips and breathing in, a small puff noise escaped as her inhaler released her medication. Keeping her mouth and her eyes shut, she counted down the seconds. She felt her lungs relax as she let out a shaky breath, recapping her inhaler and putting back into its designated spot in her robe. A small hand ran through her messy, black hair, her other going for the book she had dropped.
Humans were a nightmare. She had never been one to be smooth with words, but fumbling over her words consistently and hearing the snickers in just one school day was too much for her. She hated this feeling. The feeling of being judged; The feeling that you'd never meet people's expectations. Her mind was right: she should have stayed home instead. She used Hogwarts to leave her home situation, but at this time, she was missing it more than she ever thought was possible. Being alone was her only escape. Holding her book closer to herself, she let out another shaky breath, mumbling and repeating the first thing that came to her mind to comfort herself, smiling slightly to at least try to convince herself to feel okay. "With the new day, comes new strength and new thoughts."
