Rosie giggled. “Me too, a dragon or a owl, ah, they’ll kill me! If my parents didn’t kill me firstly,” Rosie could see her parents’ faces if she showed them an dragon or owl. She smiled as she giggled.

Rosie chuckled, "I'm not sure I'm that smart, well, I can be pretty clumsy sometimes." 'Like alot, ' Rosie thought to herself, giggling inwardly.

Hearing Kaitlyn's words, Rosie said, "Me too, you're the only person besides my sisters I know, I haven't said anything to the Ravenclaws yet. The only people I've met/talked to is either the portraits, a few of the professors, and you," Rosie's face was a earnest and honest smile with a small shrug that was interrupted by a yawn. "Ugh, I'm so tired."

Hearing Kaitlyn's giggles made Rosie giggle even more and by the time Rosie stopped giggling she was breathing hard and slow. "That... Is... True....," Rosie gasped. "Oh, are you sure, you wanna know what happens during supper? Are you really sure?" Rosie asked in what seemed like a nervous voice but started giggling so much afterwards as if she was faking the nervousness or she thought she seemed funny.

'Stupid, how could you say that? You've probably just lost a friend! Stupidity, Rosie, your so obvious!' Rosie thought, pinching her finger till she saw a prick of red. She wanted to wipe it off but she had grey colors, not black, so she wiped it lightly inside her grey blouse underneath the table. She saw Kaitlyn looking down at the table sadly, she knew she has hurt Kaitlyn's feelings. "But I do, I'm not used to having friends but that's not an excuse, I shoulda said in my head first and process it and change my words. But I'm truly sorry," Rosie ranted, looking down at her finger that she had just pinched , it was bleeding heavily now. She remembered she had black socks on, she lifted her leg up quietly and wiped her red finger on the sock where Kaitlyn couldn't see.

“Woah! You can have a d-dragon as a pet? Do those even exist? They sound dangeous,” she replied, completely confused. Being a muggleborn witch, there was a lot she was confused by.

Kailtyn giggled at Rosie’s comment about being clumsy. “Being clumsy does not mean you’re not smart. I think the clumsiness makes you unique in a good way,” she smiled, earnestly.

“Aw, really? I’m surprised, you seem so friendly. I’ve enjoyed talking to you like this, thank you for agreeing to talk to me,” Kaitlyn smiled. She giggled quietly at Rosie’s yawn. “I’m feeling it too … If you’re getting tired, may I walk you back to your common room?” She offered. While she didn’t know where the Ravenclaw Common Room was, she didn’t want to just end their conversation right there. She liked talking to Rosie.

Kaitlyn giggled at Rosie’s reaction. “I actually am interested. It sounds entertaining, hopefully. I’d love to see it, but I’m content with a description,” she giggled.

Kaitlyn quickly shook her head again at Rosie’s apology. “You don’t need to apologize. I’m not mad, I can promise you that. You don’t need to worry,” she smiled to Rosie, to show the comments didn’t bother her. “May I say, Rosie, I’d love to be your friend, if you’ll let me,” she gave her a bright smile.

Rosie smiled and giggled at Kaitlyn's 'woah!' "Not really, dragons are actually illegal, although people like to steal dragons and make innocent people drunk, sell 'em during gambling games! I was using dragons as examples and yeah, they exist, always has and always will. And their super dangerous, that's halfly why their illegal!" Rosie exclaimed.

"Really? How can clumsiness be unique? Cade and Coral always said not to be clumsy or you wouldn't have any friends.... Yeah, they can be annoying as heck sometimes," Rosie said after Kaitlyn said clumsiness cam be unique.

"I can be very shy sometimes, that's why I squeaked when you started talking to me, I got scared and, shy, but something, er, told me to, uh, talk, I guess," Rosie replied with a honest shrug. "And, your welcome, but it was really you who started the conversation, I would of never noticed unless you talked!" Rosie said, smiling, just happy she was sitting in a library, actually talking with someone she didn't really know.

"And, I can go 10 more minutes or more, its only...." Rosie looked at the clock. The larger hand was pointing towards halfwayish between 12 and 1. "Its only 12:32, I'll be fine, I do this all the time!" Rosie giggled.

"Ok, if that's what you really want," Rosie snickered after Kaitlyn said she would like to know what happens during supper. "For the last 3 years or so, my whole family, at supper, we all wait, nervously and 'specially scared for Cade t-to get hi-his sp-sppa-spider o-out an-and sca-scare us," Rosie just shivered thinking about Cade's spider, her face scrunched up, and she put her fingers over her eyes to see if she can get the scary 8 legs and fearful features out of her head since she had very bad arachnophobia. Her eyes swirled all around the space she was at, to make sure there were no spiders.

Rosie continued when she calmed mostly down, "And, er, wh-when h-he do-does, everything ju-just t-turns into, uh, a, um, food fi-fight an-and Ca-Cade's lo-lost h-his sp-sp-spider at least 5 ti-times, when th-the food fight ha-haps-happens, ev-every ti-time, I-I can't sl-sleep, he is still currently mi-missing hi-his sp-spider to-today..." Rosie shuddered and tried to erase the memories. Smack! Rosie smacked her forehead to see if that cleared it. She started giggling, "Why did I do that?" Giggling seemed to make Rosie forget about spiders and she moved on.

"Uh, okay, only if your sure that I haven't offended or hurt you?" Rosie asked. "And, uh, ok, we can be friends!" Rosie smiled, but was actually rejoining inside. Then she yawned.

"Ah, my mom's gonna be mad at me if I-" Rosie yawned again, covering her mouth with a hand. "I don't get to sleep soon, wait one second!" Rosie said, picked up the heavy book she was reading, even though she hadn't finished, she disappeared from Kaitlyn's view, huffing behind the shelf and she heaved the thick book where it was. Rosie headed back to the well-oiled brown tables and said, "You tired, Kait-" Rosie yawned again, covering her mouth and then settled both hands on the table and waited for Kaitlyn to respond.

Kaitlyn breathed a sigh of relief. “Ok, good, I was scared there for a minute. Although, the fact that anyone drunk could get one is … concerning,” she replied. “But, yes, dragons and illegal probably belong together,” she nodded.

Smiling, Kaitlyn shrugged. “Well, you never know what new situation you’ll be in when you’re clumsy. One moment, you’re just walking around. Then next moment, you can be on the ground with cake on your face,” she giggled. “But, honestly, Rosie, a friend won’t mind if you’re clumsy … and I don’t mind,” she smiled.

Hearing Rosie talk about herself, Kaitlyn nodded. “Well, I’m pretty shy too, you must have noticed. Um, I figured I should introduce myself, after invading your table … and as I said, I enjoyed talking to you. Thank you for putting up with me,” she smiled.

Kaitlyn giggled to Rosie’s statement about the time and nodded. Her eyes grew wide, as Rosie recounted a story that occured for the last three years. As Rosie talked, she silently got up from her seat. Just as Rosie finished her story, Kaitlyn gave her a hug. “It’s ok, the spiders aren’t here. You’re okay, I’m here with you,” she tried to reassure her. “And that’s a wild story … food fights, huh?”

Kaitlyn smiled and nodded. “I’m not hurt or offended, I promise,” she replied. “Give me a moment, too,” she replied, moving to replace the Herbology book back in it’s original spot. She turned back to Rosie and nodded. “Yes, I’m tired too, shall we go?” She asked.

Rosie giggled. "Drunk people can be hard to read sometimes to though, and dragons and illegal, yes, they do belong with each other!"

"That's true," Rosie said after Kaitlyn giggled about what she had said, "Maybe cake, but probably a book on my face, that's probably how I'll be clumsy and fall," Rosie giggled.

"Invaded?!" Rosie giggled. "You didn't invade, you sat here, and did your homework like a good girl, wish I could do homework," Rosie smiled and giggled, her true self showing, even though she didn't know her true self.

After Kaitlyn had gotten up and hugged Rosie, Rosie smiled and said, "Oh, yes, did I forgot to say that magic was involved one year? So, Coral is afraid of sp-spiders too and uh, Coral, she brought out her wand when the spa-spider got close to her, she almost killed the sp-spider with the Killing Curse, she should've, and she almost killed Cade too!" Rosie said, nervous as she remembered the year.

Rosie nodded, smiling at Kaitlyn, realizing she's asked Kaitlyn so many things, same thing with Kaitlyn, but Rosie didn't know Kaitlyn's house. "Yeah, let's go, the Ravenclaw Common Room is in the..." Rosie tried to think what tower where the Ravenclaw would be at. "The West Tower, and I don't think I've asked you yet, what's your house?"

Kaitlyn nodded. “I bet. I thankfully haven’t had to deal with that before. It sounds like it’d be scary to be in that situation,” she mused, thankful for being stuck in a muggle boarding school.

Giggling, Kaitlyn nodded. “Isn’t that the best thing to have fall on your face? You may even enter the book that way,” she quipped, giggling.

Flushing lightly, Kaitlyn nodded. “Sorry … Sometimes I don’t know if it’s okay to approach people. I’m not the best with social interactions. But, if you want, maybe we can do our homework together sometime? I’d love to work together, if you’re willing,” she offered with a smile.

“Oh my! That sounds … chaotic? Wait, there’s a killing curse? That sounds like something that should probably not be well-known. Thankfully she didn’t kill the spider … or Cade,” she replied, not really knowing what to make of that story.

Kaitlyn shoved the last bit of her work in her bag, and stood ready to walk with Rosie. “Ok, cool. Ooh, a tower? That sounds lovely. I bet you have the best view of the grounds. Oh, the Slytherin Common Room is in the dungeons, specifically underneath the lake. The Common Room has this awesome look into the lake … underwater,” she smiled. She began to walk toward the doors of the library.

"It would, people have been killed by dragons," Rosie said, her face looking tired. She covered her mouth as she yawned.

"Yes, I would love to enter the book's portals, but my reputation will be ruined if I fall anytime!" Rosie giggled. She knew if she fell, she'll always be reminded of it.

"Its ok, Kaitlyn, I'm not very good with social interactions either, and yeah, I would love to work on homework with you, when I get homework!" Rosie exclaimed.

After listening to Kaitlyn's comment about the Killing Curse she answered her, "Yeah, the Killing Curse is real bad, flash of that green light if its touches you, you'll drop dead right away, you looked perfectly healthy but dead... Though Coral would never kill her own twin on purpose, Cade had tried to catch his s-spider."

"The West Tower's height scares me sometimes when I look out there, but otherwise, the sun looks beautiful in the evenings. Your Slytherin? Cool, my mum's uncle was Slytherin. And the lake sounds awesome underground!" Rosie said when Kaitlyn finished her sentence. Rosie followed Kaitlyn out of the library's doors, spreading her fingers across the walls, breathing in the book scent before she walked out with Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn nodded at Rosie’s statement. “I imagine that happens … Hopefully, not a lot. A dragon sounds terrifying … but cool at the same time. I don’t know what I’d do if I were actually near one,” she shrugged.

“Not with me; you already have an excellent reputation,” Kaitlyn smiled at Rosie. “Then again, if you can enter a portal into a book, I’d suggest walking in, not falling in,” she giggled.

Kaitlyn’s smile grew wider at Rosie’s acceptance of her offer. “Yay!” She exclaimed. “I cannot wait! You’re cool to hang out with … I’m glad I talked to you,” she smiled honestly.

Hearing Rosie’s explanation of the killing curse, Kaitlyn shuddered. It sounded absolutely terrifying. “I find that a terrifying thought … I hope neither of us are ever in a situation to see that,” she shook her head. “I’m glad everything turned out well with your family,” she smiled.

Kaitlyn nodded to Rosie’s statement of the west tower. “I mean … I don’t blame you. Being that high up can be terrifying. Oh, I bet the sunrise and sunset look amazing! Oh, yes, the lake does look amazing. I have a drawing of it. Oh, may I show it to you sometime when I actually have my sketchpad?” She offered with a giggle. She held open the door for Rosie, and began to walk out to the corridor. “So, west tower, eeeh, it sounds lovely,” she giggled.

‘I have no doubt in my mind that Rosie can go back to the Ravenclaw Common Room without me. But, I don’t know, I like our conversation. And I don’t want to say bye yet,’ she thought with a smile

Kaitlyn’s eyes grew wide. “You’d pet one? Really? I don’t think I’d be brave enough to pet a dragon, even if it’s trained. But, that’s cool that you would,” she smiled. ‘I would love to see one, however. But, I don’t know if I’d trust myself to act correctly,’ she thought.

Hearing Rosie talk about walking into the book’s portal, Kaitlyn also giggled. “I don’t blame you. Plus, you don’t know what awaits you on the other side. Maybe walking in will help prepare you for whatever adventure awaits,” she smiled. She liked talking about books like they were portals. It gave the right amount of adventure, in her opinion.

Kaitlyn giggled at Rosie’s statement. “I don’t know how many of our classmates are that excited about homework. I’m excited about the assignments, too. All this magic is so new to me; I just cannot help it,” she smiled.

“I wish we weren’t taught that at all … I get it that we would have to defend ourselves, but, like, why with that particular curse? I’d probably be afraid just hearing those words,” Kaitlyn shuddered in admission. “Let’s hope it never comes to that,” she added, hearing Rosie’s sad words.

“Aw, thank you so much, Rosie. I’ll show them to you when I have my sketchpad again, I promise,” Kaitlyn smiled brightly. “Ok, lead the way,” she giggled, following Rosie.
