- It was a splendid Saturday. Though the winter held firm on the land, the sun was out, bring bright rays over the Hogwarts Castle. On most Saturdays, this would be the perfect day to go for a walk, or spend some nice relaxing time with some friends.... but not for Monica. Not for today. She had work that she had to do today. Apparently a student thought it was a wise idea to skip Herbology... but not only that, this particular student snuck back INTO the castle, to climb out of a 4 story window... Monica could barely believe her ears when she heard the news.
Of course Monica could have kept her head down... let someone else take on this, and save her own weekend, but she was on a rather rocky slope at the current moment. Feeling that she shouldn't let someone else loose their own Saturday over this, she stepped up to over see the detention.
Making her way out to the Herbology GreenHouse, she could see some well needed work was done. And since this first year was so keen to escape from this class, it is only fair that she did some much needed up keep work for them. Monica was sure to make sure there was shovels for the snow to clear the pathways, that she had bins for trash, and cleaning supplies for the windows.
Without the professor here, they wouldn't be able to enter the greenhouse, but working outside... in the cold, should be just the ticket to remind this girl that skipping is never a good idea, especially if you are going to hurl yourself out of a window.
Once she arrived, Monica would hand her a shovel, "Welcome to Detention, I'm Monica Evans, though you would know that from the owl I sent you. For today, it will be your job to clean up around the class you so desperately wanted to get away from." Monica pointed to the path, the various sticks that were lying around, and handed the girl rags and cleaning supplies for the window. "No magic to accomplish any of this, you will be doing this Muggle style. I will be here if you have any questions." With that Monica found a nice spot to sit in the snow, pulled out her book from home and let the girl begin her detention.

Was it Worth the Fall?
It was awful Lia hated every second of it. All she wished was that she could use magic and leave. Lia look over at Monica when she wasn't looking she put down the rags she was handed and tiptoed to the door. She was about to sneak out when she stopped and looked back at Monica. Lia sighed she turned around and grabbed the rags and got back to work, she knew if she left she would just get in more trouble. The windows were super gross. It looked like no one had cleaned them in years. As she was cleaning she saw the girl with blanket walk past the window she looked over and waved. Lia waved back. At this point Lia was almost down with all the windows she kept doing the work. About an hour later Lia decided to sit down and take a break. She looked at the windows that surrounded her she never wanted to clean another window ever again. Lia right then and there promise to herself she would never sneak out again. Or at least she would try... She looked back at Monica and walked over to her to tell her she was done.
I was taught to do the right thing, I just didn't listen.
