After a day of classes Violet decided to take a walk around the grounds. At some points she would have a seat and just take in the view of the school and all the students around each in their own little world. Before Violet and her family realised she was a witch she went to a normal muggle school and never in her wildest fantasy would she have thought that she would have taken after her mum this way. Not only in being a witch and attending Hogwarts but to also have been sorted into the same house as her mum had been a part of. She felt a sense of pride about it all and she smiled lightly to herself and straightened her back a little.

She took a seat on the grass and pulled out a book for a bit of light reading, and completely immersed herself in it. The book took her away from the grass she was sitting on and to a different world far, far away. She knew she should be studying but she was mentally exhausted from all the classes today that she just wanted a short break from reality before heading to the library to cover her homework. How long she spent with the book is unbeknownst to her, this was a bad habit of hers, she could get a bit too distracted at times. She shoved the book into her bookbag but still didn't get up yet. She spent some time just people watching, relishing at the world she got the opportunity to be and take part of now.
