It was a mild and pleasant day and Haley decided to spend her free time taking a leisurely stroll through the castle, out into the Courtyard and then towards the Grounds. As soon as she left the protective walls of the castle, the sun's rays found her freckles on her skin. The sun was still very gentle at this point and the heat was only slightly noticeable compared to the height of summer but it was a day that felt very much like spring. The red-haired girl took a deep breath and remembered all the beautiful days in nature for a brief moment.

As she continued on her way, she heard the laughter and talking of her classmates, who had also found their way outside in this beautiful weather. Here and there were smaller and larger groups or even individual figures, like Haley. Here and there she greeted familiar faces, smiled at them or chatted briefly. After arriving at the Grounds, her ears picked up another new sound.

It was a soft, charming melody, and while she was aware of it subconsciously at first, her feet led her closer to the melody, so that she soon became actively aware of it. The guitar notes attracted Haley, who was musically enthusiastic herself, and she soon recognized the source. And this wasn't an unknown person, it was Linda, the two of them were familiar with each other and Haley had quickly taken her to her heart. Her little sister here at Hogwarts. With a gentle smile, she approached quietly and noticed not only Linda and the guitar, but also an animal companion.

Haley quietly sat down cross-legged opposite Linda and signaled her to continue playing and pay no further attention to her. If the cat moved towards Haley, she would carefully hold out her hand for a sniff and, if she allowed it, Haley would stroke it. She loved animals and had to think of Sky, whom she unfortunately had to leave at home. But her Medusa was a constant companion here at Hogwarts.

As soon as Linda played the last notes, she would smile broadly at her. "That sounded wonderful. It's nice to see you again." Her eyes would wander to the cat, "May i ask who this little fella is?" she would add with a laugh.

"I missed you too." Haley admitted in a soft voice, it had been a really long time since they had last seen each other. "Well, nice to meet Lila Moon." Haley stroked the fluffy cat as she continued to turn her attention to Linda. "How long have you been playing the guitar?" the red-haired girl inquired further, nodding in agreement as her gaze wandered towards the sky.

"Oh, there's not much new with me to be honest. I'm fine and I hope you are too?" The soft tones of Linda's guitar rang out and for a moment Haley felt like she was in a movie, smiling contentedly to herself. "I don't like it. I love it." The Gryfindor girl babbled and closed her green eyes for a moment. "I've always liked music. My father has taught me to play the piano since I was a child. And I think I've been singing since I was able to make noises." Haley laughed softly, her eyes still closed, remembering the many musical moments with her father. "It was also one of the reasons I started a band here."

Haley opened her eyes again and looked at Linda. "Learning to play the guitar is still on my bucket list though. I can only play a few notes and that's about it. But I'd really like to learn one day." Haley had an old school friend in London who had already offered to teach her, but it would be a long time before they could see each other again and she would just have to be patient. "How is it with you? Do you play any other instruments?" she asked Linda. "By the way, who taught you to play the guitar?" she asked, curious to hear what the girl with the red hair, which was so different from her own, would tell her.

Oh wow five years! But I'm not surprised, you play really well." Haley made herself comfortable with her arms resting on her bent legs and put her head down as she continued to listen to the guitar and smile to herself. "I'm glad you're okay. You know no matter when or what, you can always talk to me." Haley was worried for a moment, but she believed Linda that she was fine. Still, she was worried and at the same time she knew today was not the day to talk about negative things. She was enjoying this beautiful day and the time with Linda and it didn't seem right to talk about things that might make their mood worse.

"Ah I see, your brother again." Haley giggled, Linda had already told her a lot about him and she had more and more of an image of him in her head. "I'm still curious to meet him sometime." The two had already talked about it on their first or second meeting and Haley was curious to see if it would really happen at some point.

Surprised and beaming, Haley straightened up. "You would do that?" Her white teeth showed in her wide smile. "I would love it, I really would! I've wanted to learn to play the guitar all this time but haven't been very successful in finding a teacher at Hogwarts." It would be a win-win situation for both of them - Haley could finally learn a new hobby and she could spend more time with Linda. "I mean, only if you really want to and have the time. And, above all, patience." But Haley couldn't refuse this offer and really hoped that Linda was serious.

"Sure, you could play a song an we could sing together! Just tell me some songs you can play and hopefully I know one of them." She started to laugh and sat up.
