A Loving Surprise

β―There is nothing scary about naturally talented people, hardworking people are the ones to be afraid of β―It's April first, and it means two things, one, it's April Fools day, and two, it's Tracey Bailey's 12th birthday. Yep, that's right, this young Ravenclaw has just turned 12 years old! And, because it's her birthday, the young girl decided to change her hair color to a light red color, but still keeping it long, and straight. She looked at herself in the mirror and once she liked the color and style of her hair, she and Tiger left the Ravenclaw common room, and the castle, and went outside, for a walk, since she loves to go out for walks.
She had also spent all morning opening up her presents that her parents and friends from back home had sent her, and she was really happy with what she had gotten. Also, since it's her birthday, she's kinda curious, wondering if a certain Slytherin boy, Klynn Seacrown, would give her anything today, because she did mention that he could give her something on her birthday, but if he didn't, that'll be fine too.
But, she does want to see the boy. Especially since the boy did say that he does have a crush on her, so maybe they could start dating? Tracey wasn't sure, but she definitely did want to get to know the boy more. She was so deep in her thoughts, the young Ravenclaw didn't even notice that she had reached the lake. But when she snapped out of her thoughts, she realized she was near the lake, so she decided to sit down near a tree, and play with Tiger, who didn't feel like roaming around the lake like he usually did.

April 1st, April Fools Day. Well, that's what it should be, but for Klynn, it was his... girlfriend's? birthday. Yeah, he didn't know what they were or where they were in relationship's terms, but c'est la vie. Anyway, in order to make up for the lack of a gift on Valentine's Day, he decided to make up for it with a surprise. All he had to do was find her.
Eventually, he reached the Great Lake and found Tracey playing with Tiger near a tree. He decided to surprise her, so he snuck through the trees before making it behind her. He then sat down and decided to sit there for a minute, just to watch her playing with her cat in a cute fashion.
Then, he decided to make it known he was here, "Well, this is a cute sight. I see you are enjoying your big day." He placed down a wicker basket next to him as he got into a better sitting position, properly facing Tracey. He was ready to give her a surprise gift, the only thing he could really think to give to her. A gift he had spent the night preparing after sneaking into the kitchen.

β―There is nothing scary about naturally talented people, hardworking people are the ones to be afraid of β―Tracey was having fun playing with Tiger, she didn't even notice anyone coming up to her or the bushes moving, she only realized that someone was behind her, when she heard a voice, and normally people would jump and look behind them, but she remembered that voice, it was the voice of Klynn Seacrown whom might be her boyfriend? She doesn't know yet, but she's happy he had found her, but then again, it is pretty easy to find the girl. If she isn't in her common room or anywhere around the castle, she'll be outside.
She saw Klynn place down a basket and properly sit down in front of her. She sent the boy a smile before looking back at the basket, which Tiger was also looking at. Tracey then decided to say,
"Yes, I am indeed enjoying my birthday. Tiger is too. But, we're both curious, what's in the basket? Wait, don't tell me, can I guess what inside of it?"
Tracey actually wanted to guess what was inside of the basket, since she's pretty good at guessing what her presents could be, but some people don't like her guessing, which is perfectly fine with her, which is why she asked Klynn first if she could guess what was inside of the basket, which could be anything.

Klynn could tell that Tracey wanted to guess what was inside, even before she said so, She seemed like the type anyway. He simple gave her a smile and stroked Tiger before answering, "Of course you can. I'm interested to see if you can guess it right."
Now, he was sure that Tracey wouldn't be able to guess exactly what was in the so he decided to give her a fair chance: "But, you only get three guesses." Now, he was confident that she wasn't going to guess it, but it seemed like a fun game. So, he sat and stroked Tiger, awaiting for Tracey to guess what his surprise could be.
He was determined to make her happy with his gift, even though it wasn't much, it was made by him. That's all she'd care about, right? He was sure it was, that's the type of girl he found Tracey to be: kind and thoughtful, who loved things with effort put into them over the quicker or more expensive route. So, he was sure his gift was good enough. So certain in fact that he was practically beaming with pride inside his head. He hoped the pride was only visible in his head anyway.

β―There is nothing scary about naturally talented people, hardworking people are the ones to be afraid of β―Tracey smiled brightly when she heard Klynn say that she could guess, but she only had three guesses, which was ok with her, since she had an idea whag could be inside of a basket. But then again, anything can be inside of a basket, so she thought,
"Hmmmmmmmmmmm, perhaps he made me something homemade? That's most likely what he did, but what could it be? Perhaps be baked something? Oh, he could've possibly baked me something, since I did give him a cupcake on valentines day, but what could he have given me?"
After a while of thinking, Tracey had a good idea of what the boy could have given her as a gift, but she had three ideas, all of them were baked goods. She then began guessing,
"Ok, so pretty much anything can be inside of the basket, so I spent sometime thinking, and lowered it done to three things, which'll be my guesses. So, the first thing could be perhaps a mini cake? The second could be a mini tart, but those two are kinda hard to make, so the most easiest thing I could think of were cookies, but then again, I could be wrong,"
Tracey was actually curious now. Her three guesses were mini cake, mini tart, and cookies, but she didn't specify which type of cookies, because, well, there are a lot of cookies in the world, and she couldn't lower them done to just one type. She hoped she had at least gotten her guesses right, but she wouldn't be sad if she didn't get them right.

... ... ... How!? Sure, she used all three guesses, but come on. Was it that obvious? Well, he admitted defeat. He could tell when someone else was around, or if they were hiding something, but this gitl must have been a Legilimens, right?
"On the third go, you are correct... Lucky guess. Regardless, not just any cookies: home-made sugar cookies shaped as animals!"
Klynn opens the basket to show said cookies in different animal heads... at least that's what they were meant to be (Klynn's not a baker, give him a break), but instead they're barely recognisable as animals. Yeah, it's a pretty sad sight in all honesty.
"At least, that's what it was meant to be. But, still, Happy Birthday!"
Internally, Klynn was hiding a lot of embarrassment. I mean, he wasn't good at either emotional connections, expressing his feelings, or baking (in this instance), but he had hoped he'd be able to put together a gift that was even presentable. However, he was beginning to realise that his gift was more of a sweet, jumbled mess. Of which he began to grow a bit red from.
"You- you've probably seen better cookies than these, so... Sorry that it isn't as presentable as I'd hoped..."

β―There is nothing scary about naturally talented people, hardworking people are the ones to be afraid of β―Tracey was feeling very confident with her guesses, and the girl is only a Metamorphmagus not a Legilimens, plus she can't be an Legilimens, she's too young, and she's also a Metamorphmagus, so she can't be a Legilimens either. It's also impossible for a Metamorphmagus to be a Legilimens, well, that's what she was told.
Klynn spoke, saying that she had guessed correctly, but it was her third guess that was correct. And when she heard that they were homemade sugar cookies shaped as animals, she was excited to see them. When the basket was opened, she saw cookies that were somewhat in the shape of an animal head, but she didn't mind, since she knew, if one didn't have a cookie cutter, which can be found in the muggle world, it'll be hard to shape the cookies. She then heard Klynn continue and she smiled brightly before saying,
"I love sugar cookies! Thanks! Y'know, I could've lent you some muggle baking supplies or you could've asked a house elf for help. I'm pretty sure they know what a cookie cutter is? Cookie cutters come in various shapes, and are easy to use to shape a cookie. These are actually really nice! To be honest, i've seen worse cookies than these, but it's the thought that counts!"
