Too Trusting?
Speech: #663399Rushing to help @Danielle AldenViva was tired. She was always tired, lately. As the class ended and the professor dismissed everyone, Viva yawned slightly and began to pick up her supplies. Today had been double Defense Against the Dark Arts with the Ravenclaws, and it felt like it had gone on forever. Viva still felt bored out of her mind, even though this was one of the classes she enjoyed more. Shoving her large textbook into her book bag, Viva moved out of the way as another student walked past her. Viva slung the book bag over her shoulder and pushed her chair in, then started to make her way slowly towards the door.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang as the beautiful blonde girl in front of Viva accidentally tripped over something and dropped her books on the ground. The girl had fallen and was sprawling on the floor. Other students were muttering in annoyance and pushing themselves around her, ignoring the poor girl who needed help! Viva felt a stab of pity for her, and rushed forward, her long brown hair flowing out behind her. "Oh no!" she said to the girl. "Are you alright?" Viva reached out her hand to help the girl up, and then bent down on the floor and began gathering the girl's books.OOC: Danielle has given permission for her character to be slightly godmodded.

@Genevieve DelacourtDanielle was exhausted. She hated having double classes, her mind could only take so much. The last few minutes of the class had taken what seemed like years and sighed in relief when the professor dismissed them. 'I could not have taken any more of this class.' she thought as she packed up her things, getting ready to leave class.
Standing up from her seat and beginning to walk to the door, Danielle rolled her eyes as the students in front of her took slower than usual to leave the room, muttering a finally under her breath as the students began to move. As she was leaving, all of a sudden, she tripped over something, dropping all her books and her bag in an attempt to catch herself before her body could meet the floor. Lifting her head, she saw that the person in front of her had the strap of their bag dragging on the ground as they used the handles instead.
Sending a nasty glare in the direction of the girl whose bag had tripped her, she muttered curses in French as other students began to push their way around her to get out of the classroom. Gathering herself, she looked up as a girl, a Hufflepuff, kindly asked her if she was okay and began to help gather her books.
Dani grabbed her bag off the ground, nodding at the girl as she began to stand up. " Yes I'm alright." She sighed in annoyance, shooting another glare over her shoulder at the girl who was slowly walking with her friend. Turning back to the girl who'd helped her, Dani's glare disappeared instantly. "Thanks for your help. I appreciate it." She said with a soft smile gracing her face, briefly fixing her hair before she grabbed the few remaining books on the floor, shoving them in her bag.

Speech: #663399Introducing herself to @Danielle AldenViva relaxed as the girl stood up, saying she was alright. She allowed a smile to cross her lips, happy to have met someone new. She picked up two books, then stood up and handed them to the girl, blowing a strand of hair out of her face. Viva blinked as the girl shot a nasty look at the poor innocent girl who had unknowingly tripped her. All uneasy thoughts left her head, however, as the girl turned back towards her. "Oh, it was no problem! You're welcome," Viva answered warmly, waiting for the girl to fix her hair before holding out the books to her.
"So, what's your name? I'm Genevieve Delacourt, but most people call me Viva. You must be in Ravenclaw, because I haven't seen you around that much. I'm in Hufflepuff." Viva scooted back out of the way as more students walked out the classroom door. The girl seemed nice, with pretty blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. She was pale, and had smooth skin. Viva immediately felt self-conscious in the presence of such a pretty girl, even though she knew she shouldn't. She hastily tucked a piece of brown hair behind her ears, and looked down, waiting for the girl's reply answer to her question.

@Genevieve DelacourtDani began to observe the Hufflepuff girl as she grabbed her books from her, tucking them under her arm. She was pale, with smooth skin and rosy cheeks, her eyes, a stunning bright sapphire color. She had long, thick brown hair, and her nose was just the right size for her face. Her lips? Pink and smooth. She was quite pretty.
Danielle smiled warmly at the girl, Viva, as she introduced herself before she saw the girl look down and hastily tuck her hair behind her ear in a hasty manner that seemed self-conscious. Her actions didn't go unnoticed by Dani, her eyebrows furrowing slightly for a split second before a kind smile was back on her face. Shaking off her thoughts, Danielle then introduced herself.
"Danielle Alden. It's a pleasure, Viva. And yes, I'm a Ravenclaw." She stated her name and house proudly with a grin. She shifted her heavy books in her arms before glancing around the room. The rest of the students had exited the room, leaving the two of them alone. The professor had disappeared to who knows where.
Speaking again, Dani decided to lower her voice, just in case the professor was still somewhere in the room with them. "I don't know about you, but today's class was an absolute drag. I don't think I could've handled another second of this class period."

Speech: #663399Finding something in common with @Danielle AldenFeeling slightly better when the girl smiled kindly at her. "Danielle, that's a pretty name!" Viva exclaimed once the girl had introduced herself. She blinked and leaned in as Danielle lowered her voice. She blinked again, then laughed quietly. "Oh, I completely agree!! I don't know why the professors insist on torturing us with these double class periods. It's quite horrible!" Glad to have found something in common with this girl, Viva smiled shyly. Already, she looked up to Danielle. She was pretty, collected, and cool, which was how Viva aspired to be. No one would really think Viva was 'cool' now, she was more of the quiet wallflower who always got O's on her assignments. Maybe Danielle could help her learn how to be more like her? She admired the girl, even though they had just met.
"What's your favourite class?" Viva asked curiously. She wanted to find out more about this potential friend. She suddenly became aware that they were the only two left in the classroom, and looked around. "Wow, that cleared out fast!" She remarked with a little giggle. "Apparantly everyone else wanted to leave as fast as possible too! I don't think that class was fun for anyone," Viva shifted her foot around on the ground as she set her book bag back on the desk. It was getting pretty heavy to just keep holding.

@Genevieve DelacourtDani smiled at Viva, thanking her for the compliment before nodding in agreement with what she'd said about double class periods. "Personally, I find double class periods quite pointless." she said, not even caring if the professor were to hear her.
Dani then paused to think for a moment about what her favorite class was before she answered Viva's question. Herbology was too boring. Potions was okay, not her best subject, though she didn't mind it. Transfiguration was too much theory. "I guess I like Astronomy and Charms." she stated, "And I also normally like this class, but when it's full of notes and double class periods, it's awful!" she exclaimed. "What's yours?"
Viva then soon pointed out that all of the other students had left the classroom, in a hurry to get to wherever they needed to be, watching as the young Hufflepuff set her items down. Danielle copied Viva, her own shoulder and arms getting much too tired to hold the mass amounts of books and items in her bag. "I find it silly that people rush when there's no need to," she said with a smile and a small laugh, "Personally, I don't care if I'm ever late. The sun keeps rising and the Earth keeps spinning."
