Super-Nova Pet Approved

𝒜madea had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Ever since she had first come to Diagon Alley, she had pictured all of the animals she had seen. She had wanted one since she had first set her eyes on the store on that day so long ago. Now, finally, she was able to make her dream come true. 

Amadea had made a promise to herself that she would make sure that she was completely ready and in a position to be caring for an animal. After all, they required a fair amount of work and she wanted to make sure that she had enough time and enough maturity to care for it properly. It would be a bad experience for both her and the animal if she wasn't in a position to be owning one.

The entire year, Amadea had been swamped with homework and prefect duties that she could barely properly care for herself, let alone another pet. Now that there was a break, Amadea felt as though it was a good time to purchase a pet. She would have the entire break to get used to caring for a pet. and getting to know the animal She was hoping to purchase an owl, so she could also use the owl to communicate with her friends who didn't live near her; she could finally stop using the owls that were being sent to her. She always felt bad about it, but she had no other owls since she came from a Muggle born family.

Amadea took a deep breath and pushed open the door. Immediately, she was greeted with the sounds and smells of animals. She headed toward the back of the store where she saw an elderly lady petting a cat. She looked up as Amadea approached, giving a wide smile to the Hufflepuff. "Hi," Amadea said cautiously. "I was looking to purchase an owl today." The woman gave Amadea a big toothy grin.

"That's wonderful!" the woman said. "Let me show you our owls." Amadea followed the woman over to a different section of the store where the owls were kept. Amadea looked around at all of the birds, wondering which one she would bring home. As she looked around at them, Amadea's eyes fell upon a beautiful brown owl with an entrancing pattern on it's chest. The woman followed Amadea's gaze. "Ah, the Barred Owl," she said. "They are native to North America. A beautiful owl." Amadea nodded, only half listening as she observed the owl that was now looking back at her.

It had only been a few seconds but Amadea knew that this was the owl for her. As the woman rang up her purchase and offered Amadea a cookie which she kindly declined, Amadea thought about the amazing future she would have with her new owl. She walked out of the store with a new liveliness in her step, owl cage under her arm. She couldn't wait to get to know her owl better!
