At first, Luna didn't want to say yes to Nico's idea. But then, she stopped herself from saying anything to her partner.
Keep standing right at this place wasn't a good idea either since this was a dessert and since this was an event in Hogwarts. If both of them went, they might find themselves in a not so good situation, so Luna would say one person went first and the other one stayed right here and helped if needed. But she didn't want to put Nico in anything that might be dangerous, but the girl didn't want to put herself in that situation either.
...Or she had another idea. "Wait, don't go. I will be right back." Leaving Nico alone there, the Slytherin Prefect quickly walked back to the place where they met. If she wasn't wrong, the thing that the girl was looking for was right... there! Luna's gaze was on a rock. The hight was nearly equal to her knees. "And it is a bit long..." She mumbled and started picking it up.
Heavy... Letting out a sigh, she slowly walked back to the South while hugging that 'big' stone. The girl was not strong, sometimes, she had to put the stone down and let her arms rest for a bit. It would be much easier if she could cast the Levitation Charm. She hadn't trained it much, so the girl doubted that she could use that spell.
ReducioNote: Luna is only half way back, which means she hasn't arrived to where Nico is.

"Wait, don't go. I will be right back."
Nico set a few steps back, turning her head towards Luna. Her fellow Prefect colleague dissapeared, back the way they came from. Apparantly she had an idea. What could that possibly be? As she waited, Nico kept her eyes on the sand. It was scorching hot, sure, but... That couldn't be the real challenge here, right?
The redhead waited for Luna to come back, but it seemed to take some time. Looking over her shoulder at the sand one more time, Nico followed the path back. Halfway back, she met the Lavender haired Prefect. 'Oh! Luna let me help you with that!' Apparantly, she had dragged a huge rock with her. 'You could've asked me to help to carry it, right? Together it will be easier.' Nico smiled and had a look at the rock. It did... look really heavy.

"Well..." Luna rolled her eyes. She rarely asked others for help, because it usually made her felt uncomfortable. Not to mention, the girl believed that people could do a lot of things, we had to ignore the time of course. "Maybe you can help, although I don't need it. If you feel tired, feel free to stop bringing it with me. I believe that I can do it alone. After all..." She glanced slightly at the passage she just walked, meaning she wasn't as weak as Nico thought.
"Anyway, pick up the other side." Her hands kind of hurt now. "When we arrived at the dessert, throw it to the sand to see if anything shows up."

'Why would I be tired? We just got here...' She waved Luna's question away. She carefully kneeled down beside the rock and had a closer look. 'Well... We could just throw it in the sand and try to maybe.. use it as a path? Who knows maybe our feet will get set on fire...Or something.'
Nico carefully put her hands on the bottom of the rock and waited for Luna to join in. 'You ready?'

"You are not wrong..." Luna bit her lips. She knew that this was an event from Hogwarts, so things shouldn't be too dangerous. The girl still couldn't help but be more careful.
"Alright, I am ready." Luna started counting. "In three, one, two, three..." She picked up the rock, trying her best to make Nico not feeling too hard to bring it.

The rock was allegedly quite heavy. Shame that there were no rocks there as Luna and Nico waddled along with her arms several inches apart. As soon as they dropped the rock, it would disappear, like a poof of air. But at the same time, it was as if an invisible line was in front of them causing both of them to trip forwards, landing right on the sand.
Yes, the quicksand, they will both be unable move, the sand slowly devouring every inch. By luck, Luna would have her right arm free. Then they would see small movements in the sand, a few seconds later hundreds of tiny black bugs - spiders - would crawl out from the earth and as soon as they emerged from the sand, would crawl towards you and your partner(s) perhaps... like the butterflies, they were just illusions? Possibly, possibly not.

Together with Luna, they carried the rock back to the sandy environment. Dropping the rock, it vanished. Gone, like a dream. Just gone. 'W-What..' Surprised, Nico set a step back but got her leg stuck onto something she didn't see. 'WHOA!'
Desperatly trying to keep her balance, Nico tumbled over into the sand. For a moment, nothing really happened. The redhead carefully tried to get back up, except, she couldn't press herself up. 'L-Luna, what is...' She started to sink. Her eyes widened in panic. 'N-no no... not good.'
Frozen in fear, Nico heard a sound nearby. A light ticking noise, of thousands of things... She looked up at the source of the noice and noticed many bumps in the moving sand. Her mind instantly went full alarm. She's stuck, in sand, with what seemed million of critters. Every hair on her body stood up. 'N-No. Not like this. G-Go away! Don't come near me!' It became even worse, when she realised, it were spiders. She felt like she couldn't breath and started to cry. 'GO AWAY! NO!' She screamed in panic, stil desperately trying to get herself out the sand. She was terrified.

Luna slightly raised her eyebrows when the rock suddenly disappeared. What a waste of time... The rock was just fake, then why was it so heavy back then? Before she could think more, the girl accidentally stepped back. And that wasn't clever of her, because, after that, she realized that she couldn't move her legs anymore.
And things started to be worse and worse. With the fact that Nico was right near her, seeing the other Slytherin Prefect felling down made her panic, and Luna just literally fell down like the red hair. She bit her lips and tried to stand up again.
It was no use.
Nothing happened, other than she was sinking more. Maybe the only lucky thing now was that her right arm was still good. "Calm down Nico, it will just sink faster if you keep trying to move..." If both of them panic, it wasn't hard to see that they would be stuck here and failed. And if at least one of them were calm, it would calm the other person as well. That was the reason why although she was scared right now, Luna still tried to act calm and gave Nico advice.
Spiders... Luna quickly took out her wand from her uniform and pointed at the spiders, "Incendio!"
She hated this spell. And she hated the fact that this was the only spell that she could use right now to cast on the spiders. If they were real, they would be burned. And if they were just like that rock, good to know that.
Action: Casting the Fire-Making Spell at the spiders.

Luna would cast incendio. (D20+7=17)
A string of fire would shoot from the top of her wand. However, the fire had not affected the spiders at all. The spiders would near and very soon, they would be crawling up their arms and torso. You would not feel the tickle of their tiny legs across your skin but rather a cooling sensation like alcohol rubbed into your skin. They were in fact illusions.
Like sand in an hourglass, the ground would open to a hole, two holes actually, one below Luna and other below Nico. The sand would spiral downwards and swallow them with it.
Luna would land first, onto a slimy and mushy surface. The first thing that would hit her was the stench, a very strong familiar smell... the smell of pumpkin. It was completely dark and Luna would barely be able to stand before the ceiling, the same slimy and mushy surface, would hit her head. If she were to feel around, the walls would have the same texture and this area, wherever it was extremely small. Was it possible that she was inside a gigantic pumpkin? A couple of second later, something hard would fall on her, ouch, Nico. There was barely much space in this small dark interior. Should they feel around all they would feel would be the wet flesh of pumpkin and there would be no exit of any sorts. They were trap.

Nico looked over at Luna, tears still rolling down her cheeks. She still whimpered and nearly passed out as soon as the spiders reached her, climbing ontop of her. Shivering she shrieked in pure fear. She pressed her lips together, pinching her eyes closed. No spider would enter any of her holes today. Or she would try to make that impossible atleast.
Yet, as soon as the creatures got on her, she couldn't feel any tingling sensation of bug legs. It was like a cold blanket of shadow that coverd her. 'Huh?'
Carefully she opened her eyes. Even though she couldn't feel the spiders crawl up her skin, she could still see them. Which was just as worse. 'I hate this...'
Suddenly, a hole formed underneath her. 'Luna? Luna!' Nico reached her arm out, but it was no use. The hole swallowed her.
Nico pinched her eyes closed as she thought she was sure to die. It was dark. As soon as she could stick her head out of the sand again, she screamed loud. Where the hell was this hole taking her?!

'A-awtch' The redhead, had reached the floor, surprisingly. She thought she was done for. But ofcourse, this was a Hogwarts event. If they'd end up killing kids, that would be bad. That idea calmed her down more. Brushing the gross sand off her robes, Nico finally came to realise she landed on something warm. Looking down, she saw the familiar lavender hair of her fellow Prefect. 'L-Luna!' Swiflty, she hopped off and kneeled down beside her, helping her up. 'L-Luna you okey?'
