Transfiguration Frustration
@Argento Perceval-Phelan
On a beautiful Wednesday after class had ended Amanda was sitting in the back of the classroom, going over the notes on a new spell they were learning about lost in the words on the pages in front of her she had a confused and frustrated look on her face something about the spell she just wasn't understanding. she continued reading as the classroom emptied, leaving her the only student left
"I'm never going to understand this spell," she said to herself
she just sat there looking at the pages and feeling confused she didn't want to bother the professor with her problem, so she continued trying to figure it out herself. her face grew more confused and frustrated, looking until she lay her head on the desk like she was giving up on trying to figure out what it was she was having trouble with.
"What am I missing?" she sounded extremely confused and continued to sit there as time passed it was getting close to the time for her next class but she had completely lost track of time she lifted her head from the desk and started reading through her notes again trying to understand what it was she wasn't understanding and her face only grew more confused and frustrated looking.

Transfiguration Frustration
Emily came into the classroom. Of all the things she could have ever done, she never expected to accidentally leave a book behind after a class. She felt it rather ridiculous, but it happens sometimes, she thought.
She quickly hurried to the middle of the class where she sat and searched the desk. It wasn't there. She started to get worried in case someone lifted it, but spotted it when she ducked under the chair to check. She breathed a sigh of relief as she picked up the book. Considering it was on the floor she figured she must've dropped it by accident when packing up her things earlier. She learn not to be in such a hurry in case it happened again next time.
On her way back out she noticed a girl at the back of the room, her head buried in a few sets of notes at one of the desks. She seemed a little distressed from what Emily could see. She recognised the uniform... a Hufflepuff like her. She hated staring, but the more her eyes lingered the more sympathy she was feeling for the girl as she looked down at her work in a frustrated stupor.
Emily approached her quietly and gently tapped the girl's shoulder, offering her trademark friendly smile.
"Everything okay? You seem a little bit tense," she spoke softly, trying to project an air of comfort to her fellow Hufflepuff.

Transfiguration Frustration
She looked over at you, putting down her wand
"yeah, I'm fine. I'm just having a bad time with this spell, and I need to get it right before the next class. I don't think I'll ever get it right, though I always fail and get the wrong result. I'm not any good at transfiguration. I just want to give up even trying to cast this spell anymore since I don't think I'll ever get it right."
she sighed, looking back down at her notes
"I just don't know what I'm doing wrong, and it's pretty frustrating. I don't want to get a bad grade in this class, but it seems like I will. I don't want to let my dad down he's good at good at this type of magic. I'm the only one in my family who has magical abilities. I should be able to do this since it's supposed to be easy, but I'm having a very hard time getting it right."
she looked like she was on the verge of tears
"don't mind me though it's my problem and I don't mean to bring it all on you since you probably have better things to do."

Transfiguration Frustration
Ah yes... Transfiguration. Made sense that she'd be stressing over it. Everyone that Emily knew did and she herself wasn't a big fan of the subject. She'd almost lost track of the number of books she read at the library just to be able to understand the basics of the class, let alone the spells and incantations to properly perform the methods.
Emily could see Amanda struggling to stay calm. She knew too well herself how expectations can weigh someone down. She took a seat that wasn't too close as to invade her space, but close enough to try and offer some assistance.
"It's okay...! Maybe I can try and help a little bit?" Emily offered kindly. "I'm not that good at Transfiguration either... But I feel a little more confident on how it works. Maybe I could give you a few pointers? Assuming you're open to the idea, that is. And before you say anything, I'd be more than happy to help."
Emily gave another warm smile to Amanda, practically hoping she would say yes to her proposition. It was less about trying to score points so she would get something in return, but more to do with doing the right thing and of course, becoming better friends by the end of it all.

Transfiguration Frustration
she lifted her head back up from her books and looked at you. She let out a sigh of relief, and she felt the stress starting to lift
"If you're not too busy, I'd appreciate some help with it."
she was feeling less stressed and worked up knowing someone was willing to help her with solving what she was doing so wrong with the spell that it wasn't working for her. She moved aside so you could sit next to her.
"it's this one,"
she pointed to the match to the needle spell
"I'm sure I got the notes written down right but I keep trying and I can't get the match to become a needle it's supposed to be a very simple spell but I'm having so much trouble with it."
she looks down, feeling a bit ashamed
"You probably think it's lame that I can't do such a simple spell. I'm much better with charms than with transfiguration charms class, which is my favorite subject I'm taking right now. I've been getting all the right results in charms class. I'm just very confused and frustrated about why I can't do something this simple."
she let out a sigh as she looked at her notes, then back at you.

Emily's smile grew as she eagerly scooted over to take a quick glances at Amanda's notes.
Emily read over Amanda's notes and saw the section on the Match to Needle spell in the textbook when she opened to that chapter in her own copy. Her notes were well written and well detailed. It was clear Amanda was paying attention in class. Emily took a quick skim of the content in her textbook before placing a hand on her chin, thinking deeply. It was the same spell that Emily wasn't too keen on either, given how she'd been trying and failing to understand it as well. As strange as it was to say, it made the Snail to Teapot spell seem much easier by comparison.
"I see... I'm not too good with this spell either, but I'm sure there's no harm in practising a little. Saying that... I know we can't transfigure without permission, let alone without an adult supervising, but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with practicing the wand movement and incantation, right?"
Emily kept up her hopeful smile as she looked to Amanda for a response. She took out her own notes to compare with her. They both needed all the help they could get after all.
