I'M STILL SCREAMING DONT MIND ME
"We are ambitious after all. Ambition can be contagious." she joked. After a moment or two, she blushed brightly, realizing how she was hanging onto him and quickly let go, taking a couple coy steps back as her hair fell in her face once more like a curtain, turning her attention to her wand and examining, as though looking to make sure it was unharmed as opposed to looking for a distraction from the fact that she'd abandoned her usual disposition for a second.
A side glace at the boy revealed how he nervously pulled at his robes, perhaps feeling as shy about the interaction as he had before he repeated a question from earlier that she had chosen to ignore. Her lips pressed together in a tight line, then pursed a little, "I'll think about it." she decided. Perhaps not everyone was a cookie cutter of their house, she certainly wasn't after all. And perhaps she could take to risk of allowing just one person to be close for once. It would give her the opportunity to do what her original goal for Hogwarts was, aside from her studies, and that was to make friends.
He coughed, taking her full attention once more. Steady, pale eyes studied him as he touched his face anxiously and asked his next question. One that she'd earlier refused him the cordiality of. Hued flickered up and down his person for a pass or two before she answered, "Illowy Magnard." she spoke simply, "And thanks..." the girl added a moment later, "...for coming to my rescue and everything." she waved her wand a bit through her fingers, offering one more small smile, "Try not to be so late to the party next time, though, Mr Fourth-Year-Magic."
Trying to keep from losing herself again, she tore her eyes away with a blush and turned to shove her things back into her bag, "Now then, I probably should get to the infirmary... Make sure I don't have a concussion or something and then try to see if any of my papers are worth salvaging." now there was something to blame her behavior for, a concussion. Certainly made for a good excuse in her mind.
I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

Finn was overjoyed at her response - I'll think about it. That was much better than what he'd gotten the first time. He prayed to his lucky stars for a moment that thinking about it was the equivalent to a yes from the girl.
Illowy Magnard. So that was the name of the girl he'd had this little.. adventure with. He beamed at the title she'd given him, as he had briefly forgotten amongst the nervousness that he had, in fact, pulled off his first magic spell - and it was advanced beyond his years. His dreams to become an amazing wizard seemed closer to fruition now, his fears of falling behind ebbing into embers at the back of his mind rather than the fire they had been before. "I'll be there next time," He promised. "I'm Finn Valois. Feel free to send me an owl, you know, if you figure out the whole reading thing."
He started a little as she mentioned a concussion - he hadn't even thought about that possibility. It was then that his eyes slowly trailed over the true effects of the damage - that is, what he could see behind the black curtain of her hair, and nodded solemnly. "That's probably best. I have a book to check out, anyway, about a certain war that happened here." Offering her one last smile, he picked up his belongings and exited the bathroom to leave her in peace for a moment before she head into the infirmary. He stood for a bit outside the doorway, holding his books close to his heart and relishing in the feeling of newfound friendship. Then, with Illowy still in the back of his mind, he left toward the library.

Finn Valois.
She's remember that, "I will." she assured to his request of an owl. Shoving her things in her bag, she peaked up at him as he mentioned searching for a book about the war and she gave him a nod, offering her own small smile as she went back to collecting her things while he gathered his own. Illowy listened quietly as he footsteps echoed towards the door before disappearing out into the hall. Daring to peak up once more, she found him gone.
Shoving her wand away safely in the pocket of her robe, the girl rose, pulling her bag up onto her shoulder, still watching the door. Part of her wondered if he might come back, part of her only wanted to make sure no one else did to catch her in such a state. The girl move to the mirror for a moment, trying to clean herself up a bit more, arranging her hair to hide the blooming bruise on the side of her face before taking the leap to leave the sanctuary of the abandoned bathroom.
Scurrying in the opposite direction of the library to hospital wing, weaving quickly and carefully around the other students as her mind went over the events of the bathroom, like a movie on repeat; wondering when would be the next time she'd see him.
