Another Day, Another Practice, Another Friendship PV Finished

"Flipendo!" EmmaLee shouted, waving her wand in the direction she thought Lily was. Before listening for any kind of result, EmmaLee quickly stuck her wand sideways in her mouth and tried the knot with both hands. She figured she had about 6 seconds before Lily shot another spell. No go, but she at least loosened it a little before Lily's spell hit her in the stomach.

A deep wave of nausea swept over her stomach, bending her over for a moment, and her lunch threatened to come up her throat. She quickly took her wand out of her mouth as the sensation made the feeling in her stomach and throat worse. Ugh. She rarely ever got sick and whenever she did, her mother was always right there with the cure, magical or herbal. She hated being sick, and now she was sick and blinded. EmmaLee took a few deep breaths and a couple gulps to shove down the nausea and tried to listen again for Lily's position. She listened intently to specifically pinpoint the other girl's giggling. If she could narrow that down in the echoing room, she could get her.

As the nausea abated for a moment, though didn't completely pass, EmmaLee stood upright and readied her wand for her next spell. Hopefully it would hit its mark and she could get the dang blindfold off to do something really effective.

Players have agreed to a practice duel where each spells hit or miss will be determined via Discord. A miss will be rolled as a spell fail or a miss.
No abilities will be used. Damage will be calculated normally until players reach under 10%.

Round 4

Lily grinned as her incendio duo hit its intended target. EmmaLee bent over and for a minute Lily thought her curse of the bogies was still working on her. EmmaLee cast Flipendo at her again and Lily moved to the side letting it pass her. The girl had tried to remove the blindfold to no avail, which gave Lily an advantage. While she was blind any spell Lily cast would most likely hit. Which was awesome. Lily moved over to the right as quietly as she could and raised her wand. She wished she hadn't worn long sleeves today; they always made noise when moving. It was difficult but Lily found doing rhis was easy to her. Bring a troublemaker and a McCoire, you learn to be quiet and stealthy quite quickly. And living with the McCoire's for nearly a year it became a second nature to her. Plus she loved to scare her family which meant being super super quiet. Didn't work often though, Colin amd Lorcan were both werewolves so they had amazing ears and noses.
Lily went through her spells again and chose one she had never ever used before. One that she hoped would never be used on her.

Once again, EmmaLee sent her spell in the direction of the giggling, but this time, she took a heavy breath before putting her wand in her mouth to tackle the blindfold's knot and thankfully she was able to get it undone and snatch the wand out of her mouth before another wave of sick rolled through her stomach and up her throat.

Tossing the blindfold off the edge of the piste, the scrap of black fabric fluttered to the floor as EmmaLee retrieved her wand, swallowing the sick feeling that rolled through her, and brandished it at Lily. "Ah ha!" She said triumphantly, just as the flames smacked her in the chest and sent her onto her butt. With a heavy "oompf", she landed onto the piste again. What was with her and not being able to keep her feet during duels? Is she really that flingable? She shook her head a chuckled a little as she bat at the few flames that clung to the front of her clothes and stood up. She should have known the flames were coming eventually.

"Nice shot while I'm blinded." She teased, readying her wand for her next move. "You won't catch me distracted again, dear."

Lily grinned as her incendio hit the mark and EmmaLee was engulfed in flames. She however had managed to get the blindfold off, which means Lily could not get her anymore. As she wondered about what her next spell would be, EmmaLee cast Rictumsempra again.
Lily was in a fit of giggles again and she gritted her teeth. This girl sure did love that spell. Lily was slowly becoming to hate it. She stood up straight and raised her wand to cast het next spell, hoping this one would hit. Her slug vomiting charm had also been a hit, so hopefully EmmaLee would be too busy vomiting than dodging. That was one main goal of casting the spell. It was an easy target for the unfortunate victim. Plus while they are vomitimg up slugs, they do not pay attention, which is perfect to hit them.
Lily inclined her head and smiled when EmmaLee complimented her. And smirked when she said she won't be catching her distracted again. "Don't be so sure of that, EmmaLee. You never know what i have up my sleeve." Lily said as she raised her wand and got ready to cast her next spell when her other one goes into effect.

With a definitive swish, EmmaLee shot another Rictusempra at Lily. What could she say. It was a good spell that packed a punch in both the distraction and the wearing out her opponent department and after falling behind in the hit department, she needed a quick catch up. She smirked as another roll of fresh giggles ran through Lily.

What was less funny is that just as EmmaLee thought the wave of nausea was finally subsiding and Lily's spell had worn off, Lily's spell hit EmmaLee in the stomach and something very different from her lunch slid up her esophagus. She almost threw up for real as her stomach heaved and slugs came pouring out of her mouth with each one.

EmmaLee understood all in the name of a win, so she wasn't mad at her opponent, but oh this would not be taken lying down. The only comfort in all of this is that she had pretty well proven her growing resilience at this point, having survived multiple rounds of feeling ill and now being ill in probably the worst kind of way. Considering her state, she'd done a pretty good job, she thought. If she could just get one or two more good, solid blows on Lily, the other girl would probably be done with and EmmaLee's stomach would be avenged.

Lily's Flipendo had hit it's mark as a critical hit but unfortunately for her, her time in the duel was over as EmmaLee's Flipendo hit as well.
Lily winced as she was thrown back and she got up putting her wand away and walked towards her, holding her hand out. "That was a good game. Sorry about the slugs." Lily smiled softly resisting a smirk. It was indeed a good game even if Lily did loose. But loosing or winning doesn't matter as long as you have fun and Lily definitely had a lot of fun with EmmaLee LeDames. It was one of those duels that you aren't competing to make someone proud of you or to support your house . It was one of the duels that was practicing to make yourself better. All fun. No competition...well maybe a little competition. "Why don't we go to the hospital wing together?" She asked. Before they left Lily took one last look around the room. This was a room Lily would have to visit again to practice. God knows she needed to be better if she wanted to win any duels at all. She could recall only one time she had won. And that was against Argahlon. Lily turned away and headed to the hospital wing with EmmaLee.

EmmaLee took a moment between waves of slugs to stand up and fling a spell at Lily. To her surprise, it hit the other girl with a great about of force, just as Lily's own Flipendo knocked EmmaLee, again, on her rear.

Mercifully, that blast seemed to have knocked the last slug out of her stomach? Where did the slugs come from for that particular curse? Wherever they came from, that seemed to be the last of it as EmmaLee stood up, one hand on her stomach, and righted herself free from feeling any sort of sick. Although, she would probably try to avoid remembering those last few rounds for the rest of her days.

She smiled and chuckled a little as Lily approached her with a sportsmanly hand out. She stowed her wand into the holster on her thigh and took Lily's hand with a firm shake. "No worries. I think you knocked them out of me with that last blow." She said with another chuckle. "It was a good match. Thank you for the fun and practice."

She nodded as Lily suggested they go to the Hospital Wing. They both would need the heal up. EmmaLee could still feel a pain in her stomach from the heaving and had some burns on her fingers from the fire. No pain, no gain, right?

EmmaLee followed Lily out of the Dueling Club and off towards healing, chatting with her about dueling and other things.
