Strange Encounters
Shoes clicked against the cold gray stone of the castles. It was a common sound heard resonating throughout the halls of endless stone, heard everyday of almost every hour by numerous people. Most people were outside enjoying the fleeting glimmers of sunlight that occasionally blinded the eyes of those foolish enough to glance through the windows. Rhys, was one of those foolish people. Challenging the sun by a simple glares at the mass glowing star the provided the land with light. While busy seeing stars in his vision even if his eyes were closed the young boy could still see the orb of light that taunted him simply by existing. Holding his hands over his eyes he tried to block it out before turning around a corner walking right into someone.
When turning around a corner it was common to know to watch where you were going. But when staring right at the sun, common knowledge wasn't exactly the first thing on his mind. "Oh pardon me I didn't mean to run into you. The sun was in my eyes I'm afraid." He smiled at the girl in front of him apologetically. The dark haired boy reached his hand cautiously out in case she needed help out.

Strange Encounters

Anastasia Beckett was many things to many people. A friend to some, a vicious enemy to others. It always was interesting for her to think about how many different versions of her existed in different people's minds. She could think of at least three people who thought that she was completely insane and psychotic, and another who thought her admirable, and still another person who just saw her as a normal friend. It was rather mind-boggling to think about her different roles in different people's lives, how one person could be something different to different people.
At the moment, her current role was apparently tackling dummy. Or at least, that was what the boy who slammed into her seemed to think. That was a new one. Even the people who loathed her hadn't actually resorted to physical violence yet. The boy's next words seemed to clear things up a bit, although Anastasia was still a tad on edge. After all, who wouldn't be after a stranger nearly just ran them down?
"No harm, no foul, right?" she said, hoping she used the Muggle saying correctly. She supposed that the phrase would apply to wizarding sports as well, but for some reason, it was just a muggle saying. "Just out of curiosity, do you make a habit of wandering the halls staring at the sun?" Her tone was a bit amused, not quite mocking or cruel, just amused and slightly curious.
Long story short, I survived

Strange Encounters
The young Slytherin didn't understand the words that the girl in front of him spoke. He made a puzzled expression and tried to figure what on earth harm had to do with fouls. He had never understood sayings like that, after all you couldn't really understand something that didn't make sense. Maybe his mind was too advanced, no, no that was an arrogant thing to think of. The Gryffindor in front of him spoke once again, this time in something he understood.
"Ah, no sorry to disappoint. As entertaining as people being blinded by the sun is I myself would like to see still. Unless the sun dies of course, in that case if it was to do so we'd have 8 minutes of sight left." He spoke with no true reasoning. The sun could blind people with light and darkness. It was an interesting concept to him, which he planned to study more about later. "What about you? Do you often stare at the glowing orb of death?" Rhys questioned her. Perhaps he had sounded rude, or maybe he had sounded curious as she had sounded to him. Either way it didn't really matter. After all discussing the sun wasn't a relevant topic.
