Prompt: Essence

One day during winter break, Tracey decided to bake some cookies, since she was hungry, and also wanted to make a sweet treat for the house elves, since they always make delicious food and treats for all the staff and students every day.

She was shocked she hadn't actually gotten caught sneaking into the kitchen, and once she got in, she looked around and noticed how big it was. She also saw some house elves, so she decided to ask them for help, only because she didn't know where everything was.

After she got all the supplies she'll be needing, she began making the batter for vanilla almond cookies, and the house elves insisted on helping her, but she said that it's ok, because she can actually bake, and is a pretty good baker as well.

Once she was done making the batter, so separated the dough and placed small balls onto a baking sheet, and squished all of them, so they were flat, before putting them into the oven and allowing them to bake.

After about 30 minutes, it was time to take out the cookies, so she took them out, and placed them onto a cooling rack, and talked to the house elves as the cookies cooled. After they had cooled, she allowed the house elves to take some cookies, and then once all the house elves had taken at least one cookie, she took the rest with her up to her dorm, so she and Tiger could enjoy them as well. She thanked the house elves before leaving the kitchen, happy with what she had done today.
