This year, instead of dressing up for Halloween, Inara decided to... do some research. She wanted to know Halloween from both a muggle and wizarding point of view... (That way she could spout out random facts to her friends and annoy them). She decided the best place to go would be the library. Everyone was having fun dressing up and whatever, so it was empty. (If anyone asked, she was dressed up as a witch). She wasn't sure where books about Halloween would be, so she went to the Historical section. Inara was like 99% sure Halloween had a very deep history... Finally, she found a good wizarding book about Halloween's History. She started reading through it, taking notes, making comparisons to a Muggle Halloween, and so on. This was much more fun than dressing up!

This is a very short RP about how Inara does some research on Halloween!

I don't have an iNPC, but this is a picture of Ariana Jane Blackstone, a made up character. She started as a random character for an OOG Thread,Mysteries, At The Counter (which you can definitely join if you want to learn more about her!) Over time, I've developed her character a lot, so I decided to put a picture of her here!

Her whole family has gone to Hogwarts, but she received a Beauxbatons letter. Just a few months after she started at Beauxbatons, she dissapeared. There are some rumors going around, but nobody really knows what happened...

After a long day of classes, I fell asleep. And as I did, I started to dream.. There was a big castle, it was really beautiful, but it was also surrounded by these big, lion headed, scary looking stone things. Oh! I remembered this from class! the Gargoyles! I started to get a little scared, remembering that the gargoyles might alert whoever was in the castle. But I was curious.. and this was just a dream, it couldn't hurt.. Before my dream self had the chance to do anything though, this wizard with black robes approached the Gargoyle. He was also wearing this black wizards hat that went well with his attire, not that it was important.. Anyways, my dream self just stood there, frozen in place. The wizard approached slowly. My dream self walked forward too, which was not exactly what I wanted.. The Gargoyle was massive, with a scary looking lion's head, wings, and an expression that seemed to convey, "LEAVE NOW... or else..." Suddenly, these people came out, holding wands, so they must have been witches and wizards. My dream self concluded that the Gargoyles had alerted them of intruders, because that's what I learned in class. They were probably fully trained, and ready to attack any intruders.. Panicking, my dream self began to back up slowly, but then the dream faded away... I woke up, and didn't remember the dream at all. Sometimes, my imagination runs wild while I'm sleeping.. but that Gargoyle seemed so real... but of course it was just a dream.. Or was it?

This was just a little something from my homework about Gargoyles! (It was already graded).

As Inara was walking by the lake, she saw that someone was... arm wrestling? with a squid? She asked somebody else who was standing there what was happening, and he replied, "My Friend is arm wrestling with a squid!"
"First off, Squids DON"T HAVE ARMS! Second, that person could get hurt!!" Inara argued.
That got her a few exasperated looks.
"You're ruining the fun!" Another person said, keeping her eyes on the squid.
People started ignoring her after that, so Inara walked off, wondering how arm wrestling with a squid was even a thing, and hoping that person would be alright...

A Short RP about how Inara witnesses somebody Arm wrestling a squid, and how she reacts to it. It was sort of a mix of how me, OOG reacted when I saw the prompt, and how Inara would have reacted IG.

A long, long time ago... when the Whomping Willow was first "planted", a girl by the name of Willow was a student at Hogwarts. She was a young Gryffindor, adventurous, brave, and pretty much all the traits of Gryffindor house. She was a bit nosy too, always finding out about things she shouldn't, although not exactly in a bad way. One day, she was wandering around the school (At Night, when she wasn't supposed to), and she overheard some teachers talking in hushed whispers... Something about.. A Werewolf Student? At Hogwarts? The teachers also said that the Werewolf needed a place to change form... One teacher suggested the shrieking shack, and most of the teachers thought this was a good idea. The Herbology teacher suggested that they plant something to keep away the other students.. A lot of dangerous plants were discussed, Willow could hear. Finally they agreed on one.. A Whomping Willow Tree. The Transfiguration teacher argued by saying that the Whomping Willow would do no more than scare people away. It needed to have more protection for the Werewolf. The Potions teacher suggested something... but was cut off by the Headmaster, who strongly disagreed. The potions teacher argued that it was the only way, and the teachers and headmaster agreed, rather reluctantly. Willow pressed her ear to the door, hoping to hear more, and she did. "For the tree to be an effective guard and defense, we must tie it to a human soul..." One of the teachers repeated, rather uncertainly. Willow shuddered with fear. That sounded unpleasant..... But she felt really sorry for that Werewolf student... Even though it was the last thing she should've done, she barged into the room, yelling, "I VOLUNTEER!"

The teachers were shocked. Some of them looked angry... I mean, who sneaks out to eavesdrop on the teachers at 11 o' clock PM? Some of them looked a little surprised and concerned...
"I want to help. So I volunteer." Willow repeated, boldly.
The teachers discussed in hushed whispers, and seeing Willow's determined expression, they finally relented.
And so, during the rest of her school years and life, Willow's spirit was tied to the tree. It wasn't that bad, she resumed her classes and her life in general, normally, but whenever someone neared the tree, her spirit would have to visit, and it left her body vulnerable. She isn't living anymore, but her ghost still lives in that tree... On a Moonlit night, sometimes you can see her spirit, dancing near the tree... And so the whomping willow came to be...

This is a story about the Whomping Willow that I made up. It corresponds with the events that happened in the books, but it also is a story of its own!

Ignoring the slight pang of guilt in her heart, Inara started lining up with the older kids to go to Hogsmeade. She had a fake permission slip with her, signed by "Her Mom". Everybody else does it! It'll be fine.. she reassured herself. Indeed, she saw quite a few first and second years, all attempting to sneak into Hogsmeade. When it was her turn, she tried to calm herself down and act casual, like she totally wasn't a first year student trying to sneak into Hogsmeade. Inara was quite tall for her age actually, 5'2 last time she checked (which was last spring), maybe taller... Maybe she could pass as a third year?

Finally, she made it to Hogsmeade! This was her first time, and honestly, the fake permission slip was worth it. She wondered where she should go first.. Inara passed by a store with a big sign that read Zonkos. Peering inside, she saw lots of... joke items? This must be that Joke Store that everybody talks about! Inara was curious, but didn't enter the store, and continued on her way.. So that's where all her friends got dungbombs..
