Did I Ask?

Siobhan rarely, if ever, cared about what people percieved her to be. She wore her kookiness as a badge of pride, having spent the last eleven years of her life being ridiculed and mocked by the town of Killarney due to her family's... eccentricities. Yet she never let the words and actions of others get her down, nor did she even care what notions they came up with in their obscure and insignifigant little heads.
Ultimately, she chose to ignore the little voice in her head that told her to care. Sticks and stones may break bones but words will only hurt if you let them. And that's exactly what she wouldn't allow those words to do.
Today, her adventure had taken her on a very leisurely walk about the castle and the grounds collecting an assortment of rocks. It had come to her attention as she eavesdropped among the students in her house and around her spot at the table that a dueling club was accepting new members. Dueling sounded quite interesting and though she despised using her wand, she did believe that participating in a club or sport would help her build up her ability to widen her circle of friends. She had -she took a moment to count on the figurative fingers in her head- three friends so far and she hoped to at least make another one or two.
Now back to the rocks. She had gathered an idea in her head that perhaps, in the heat of the battle if or when a wand became indisposed, that carrying enchanted rocks might be a easy and temporary solution until one could find their wand or escape to a safer place. While she didn't know many spells as of yet, she did know that she would eventually learn more and have more to add to her arsenal of enchanted rocks.
She carried her rocks neatly in the curve of her sweater. She'd heard several comments as she walked down the hallways of the castle, many of which likened her to the Australian kangaroo carrying a joey in her pouch. They where in fact rocks thank you very much. But she had far to many to simply carry in her hands. And some where too big to be carried in her shoulder bag along with her textbooks, writing set and other knick-knacks she had accumulated throughout the day. The hallway she was curretly wandering down had a plethora of empty clsssrooms but each one she wandered in just didn't have the right moxy she felt that she needed to successfully create these enchanted rocks of hers.
The end of the hallway fast approached and she was nervous that if she didn't like this last classroom that she would need to venture up to the next floor with the rocks that where beginning to weigh her arms down. Having worked on the family farm and swinging about the trees in her orchard, she had some muscle built up in her arms. But not nearly enough to keep carrying these rocks around the caslte for an extended period of time. After all, she hadn't been able to climb every tree across the castle grounds. Especially that rather misundertood one that some of the older students seemed to think was a fun game to provoke in order to get it to swing it's large sturdy branches at them. It angered her to no end.
That's who she would use the rocks on if she managed to create her masterpiece.
Finally kicking the door open with her foot, she found the room with the perfect amount of crazy Cuckooness that she had been looking for. The room was filled to the brim with books, but framed by the light from the afternoon sun. She meandered inside to a desk and deposited her rocks, her bag, and her breath as she stretched her arms and straightened her jumper.
"Alright. Let's get to work."

Did I Ask?

The stone tile floor was like ice against Jack's cheek and arm. How long had he been lying there, Blocking out the real world with the thin barrier that flashed images and movies on the backs of his eyelids? Those eyelids drooped heavily, and for some reason, a static-like irritation buzzed around the edges of his eyes as if he had been staring at the television for too long without blinking. What was Jack's original intention when coming to this room? Had he come to ask a question or work on something? That was unlikely. Whatever it was now truly didn't matter. He had to rid himself of the angry humming around his eyes.
The Hufflepuff had a rather ire-inspiring ability to place himself in the best possible position to annoy somebody else, whether by accident or purposefully. So here he was now, in a dusty ass room filled to the brim with mountains of books precariously stacked upon one another. Surely, a word uttered with too much force had the potential to unleash a bookslide, leaving a trail of destruction across the countryside. The oppressive and eerie silence hanging in the room made it an irresistible choice for one of Jack's spontaneous and ill-timed naps.
Darkness enveloped Mr. Warren as he opened his mouth for a heaving yawn and closed the heavy oak doors that were his eyes. Sadly, evil knew no peace, and his nap could never last forever. The antithesis of everything good in the world slammed her way through the border of his sleepy haven like a stampede of buffalo that hadn't quite figured out how to not be annoying as hell. As if to place the final candle on the cake for an ear-rupturing pest, a roaring deluge of small stones battered the long desk he lay under, which he was using to shade away from the afternoon beams or light.
Peeling his eyes open, Jack let out what could only be described as a groan of the dead, which only doubled in intensity as one of those damnable rocks dropped heavily on the side of his head. Anger was quick to ignite and hard to quell, and the wildfire had to start with a wild flailing of his arms. Whipping his arm out from underneath the desk, the boy's wrist would quickly come into contact with an ankle. It wouldn't be much of an issue for anyone if he had done so gently, but Jack was anything but gentle. "Feckin'- What the hell- Are you Doin'!?" The boy bellowed. Like the living dead pulling itself from its grave, Jack pulled himself free from the confines of the desk, nearly knocking it over in his haste.
Now, finally standing at his full height, Jack looked down at the little demon that had woken him from his slumber. "Of feckin' course its a first year." he spoke to himself, swinging his head back and forth in disgust between the desk piled to the brim with rocks and the pest that brought them there. He could feel his lip curl into a snarl as he spoke again, this time at the child. "Are you stupid or somethin'? Bangin' rocks all over the place?" He gesticulated wildly as he spoke

She hadn't noticed that any of her rocks had fallen off the desk as she was to preoccupied with searching for her wand and charms textbook. Muttering quietly to herslef she hoped to god that she hadn't left her wand all the way upstairs in her dorm room. She really really didn't want to haul all her rocks upstairs but neither did she want to leave them. Some of these were pretty sweet rocks and what if some penguin minded student wandered in and took them?
She worked damn hard to collect those rocks and had even fought a gopher for one of them. She would be beside herself with fury if someone tried to take them if she had to leg it all the way upstairs to the Gryffindor tower in order to get her freaking wand! That stupid stick was literally nowhere to be seen in her back and she had half a mind to have an absolute conniption over it.
Siobhan shrieked as a hand smacked her ankle and kicked at it trying to get away from the monster under the desk that had laid a hand on her. A terrifying groan eminated from underneath the desk and Siobhan began to pray to every diety in her mind for this to just be a ghost and not possibly a zombie, which she had just found out where real due to her readings in her Defense Against the Dark Arts book! Unfortunately due to her long legs and terrible coordination when only balancing on one of them, she fell flat on her butt and tried to scoot away as the monster's hand turned into an arm.
And then a head.
And then the tall body of an upperclassman wearing the Hufflepuff colors who bore an extremely angry expression on his face. She scooted backwards, bumping into a chair as she tried to stand up. Though her nervous expression didn't seem to phase him as he began to yell and swear at her over her choice of rock dumping ground. However she blanked at his jab towards her intelligence.
"Hiding behind a desk in a crowded room and then calling somone stupid for not seeing you? You seem like the stupid one to me!" she snapped back as he wildly swung his arms around like a angered chimpanzee. She had half a mind to ask him if he'd make the noises too just to seal the deal but right now she was to preoccupied with proving him wrong for mocking her intelligence.
"Since you're an older student shouldn't you know better than to hide in classrooms?! What if I was faculty!" she demanded as she put her hands on her hips and stomped her foot. She wasn't exactly sure why but this boy in front of her seemed like someone that she would consistently have a problem with and that maybe it would be in her best interest to simply apologize and run away with the rocks that were within arms reach, but she knew that her brothers had taught her better.
Boys are stupid. So throw rocks at them.
Supposedly, according to this wild thing in front her, she had hit him with a rock. And not a little rock either, but one of the large mini boulders she had acquired during her daily adventure. At this point with all his ranting and raving, she had half a mind to chuck another one at him in the hopes that it would chase him out of the classroom that she had found FAIR AND FREAKING SQUARE
She waited till the blubbering badger in front of her had simply turned into a fuming tomato face before she spoke again.
"If you're quite done, can you leave? I want to use this room for my project and it's MY project, not yours.
@Jack Warren
