"Thissss boy is indeed up to no good. I overheard him talking with his group. They sssseem to be targeting people with no partnerssss, and who drank the punch. I thought nothing of the conversation, until one ssssaid: Do you think anyone is going to miss her."
Ah. Xailah’s words confirmed his suspicion. If that was true, then Rosie was in a precarious situation. And she might need help. She might have not realized that she did, but she most likely was.
I cut him with some glass laced with the punch.
Xailah pointed to one of the huge boy’s partners in crime.
I plan to quessstion him in about, -in about twelve minutes now. I told him to meet me in the woodssss near here, but he might be a no-show. I hate to ask but if he sssstays here, can one of you question him? See if the punch affected him? Maybe we can get more answerssss-"
Hm. Are you sure you’ll be okay handling that guy alone?” Arc answered with a frown. “And if he stays here, and that big guy take Rosie away, I don’t…I don’t think it’s wise to break up the group even further. If that guy truly is a half-giant. We would need all the help we can get to help Rosie from anything he cooks up.

All the screaming stopped their conversation. Fire. Fire was blazing and it was getting bigger and higher. Arc was starting to feel the heat even from this distance. Summer turned to the boy and gave a quick and shaky thumbs up. He was not sure that it was the best option to do but he could only give a nod back. She looked determined and he would not stop her. The boy would make do with what he had to stop that lumbering boy. Even if he had to do it alone. She had a feeling that Raine would help him, though. She was and had always been fiercely kind and brave. Even bordering stupidity sometimes.
We can't worry about the fire. If Edwin and his group are ssssmart enough, they will use that fire as a opportunity to take Rosie out of thissss area. Now, I can't sssstop you if you feel the need to help out with the fire, but you ssssshould consider the fact that we are probably the only people who know ssssomething is up. How would you feel if ssssomething happened to that girl; knowing that you had the chance to help her, but didn't take that chance? That fire is the least of our problemssss, more people are willing to put out a fire; over helping a sssstranger. Choice is yourssss. Help them, or help her."
That was true. People were already starting to flock to the fire, trying to stop it. But it was a very good distraction as well. A distraction for other more nefarious intent. A distraction for those who were up to no good.
I don't believe that kid's story one iota. What if it's a trap? There are other places he could take her, places where people could see them clearly, but he's choosing to take her into the woods? Where no one can see them? The only wood I know of is the Forbidden Forest. It's forbidden for a reason. What if he's going to hurt her? Arc, if they start to move toward the woods or move to leave the dance, you have to spin me in that direction. Just spin me and I'll handle the rest. Please.
Sure. I could do that.” Arc answered, unsure. “But you can’t do this alone. Promise me not to do anything dangerous, Sage. Or stupid. Or both. I’ll be with you. Between the two of us and Rosie, we should be able to…
Hello. I hope you don't mind me inserting myself here,
A voice cut their conversation again.
but I heard you lot talking about some of the things going on here, and I agree. Things have been very suspicious. I was late to arrive here, but on my way, I passed some older guys talking. I don't know if they were students or not, and I couldn't hear what they were saying because I had to hide to stay out of sight. However, they weren't heading in the direction of this ball or back to the castle. I'm not sure what that was about or if they're even involved in this, but it might be something. I think some of these students might be involved in something bigger… either that, or they're just up to no good. No matter what, they should be stopped.
Ah, my name Is Arc Perscivious. What’s yours?” The dark-haired boy said while offering a handshake. “Would you help us? In helping that girl, I mean. This could get dangerous.

It certainly could. And the boy had a feeling, something that was getting stronger and stronger during this night, that it was most definitely would.

Not a fire. Anything but a fire. She looked around wildly, the dancing fire reflected in her eyes, as she became ready to run somewhere to get water. Maybe she would only leave everyone here... Koko had seen the argument between the cat-eyed kleptomaniac, but she hadn't reacted until the party caught on fire... Well... Spicy! was all she could honestly think.

"Thissss boy is indeed up to no good. I overheard him talking with his group. They sssseem to be targeting people with no partnerssss, and who drank the punch. I thought nothing of the conversation, until one ssssaid: Do you think anyone is going to miss her."

Well. That would mean that Koko was definitely going to be targeted soon. She yelled at the boy who the second year was pointing to. "What do you think you're doing?" She then proceeded to run over to him and stomp on his feet. Certainly a good thing that she was wearing heels.

Professor Griffith had arrived at the scene. Koko felt a wave of relief wash over her as she realised that she could try and help. "Uh... Well, this girl, the cat-eyed second year, got into a fight with some older kid. I-I'm not exactly sure how the fire started; it all happened so quickly. I think that some candles were knocked over... Then the tablecloth was lit on fire."

There were some happy couples such as @Ami Procoppio and @Scott Alexander as well as @Eris Fawley and @Adam Harrington and even @Erin Ryan and @Elijah Huang. They were getting close, not close enough for a spray bottle to the face, but things were going to get mushy and gross if fate refused to intervene. Fate in the form of fire would protect the memories of the party-goers as the romantic ambiance of an adolescent fete went up in literal flames. The Headmaster had already busied himself with a pair of squabbling boys, the Veritaserum-laced beverage had given the love-struck student answers he truly did not want.  Solomon was dragging the pair of miscreants off the dancefloor and back to the castle when a situation that was already bad got so much worse.

@Xailah Alptraum had grabbed the arm of one of the taller boys at the dance. Pinching a bit of glass between the meat of her fingers, even if they were exceptionally slender would take some length to enjoy any semblance of length. The jagged, blade-like end of the shard was more than enough to create a gash rather than a paper cut as the flesh of her pale fingers compressed in response to her own tight grip. As the tall "student's" limb was pulled and he was physically summoned onto the dance floor there would be movement over her hand over his arm as his weight serves as a counter, as an anchor. There would be a drag and that sharp bit of glass would cut into his forearm, breaching his flesh. Being cut lacks the sting, that only felt when the air kissed the fresh wound and this hand felt moist and warm. He would of course realize, rebuke the weird Gothic Gryffindor he had no interest in in the first place, declaring her lunacy.

"Don't you dare touch me!"

What audacity, she should not have touched him first. "You fucking cut me!" @Xailah Alptraum would dispose of her weapon when she fell, not that he was particularly worried about how he looked in front of a bunch of barely adolescent party-goers. “Get away from me you wack-job!” He shouted. There was also a lacing of profanities in his verbal tirade.

"Jusssst who do you think you are? Thinking you can go and touch me like that?! And thossse words?! Would you speak like that in your Grandmothersss houssse? How about your motherssss? …You made me lose a ring my Grandmother gave to me; you overreacted because it cut you, and now its gone!"

The dramatic sibilant speech impediment. The table behind her that had erupted into flames. As the table erupted into flames the older boy slapped his bloodied palm against his forehead. The girl was full of shit or a French fry short of a happy meal, maybe both, hard to say but he did not care that much. “Frigging short-buses with speech impediments,” he complained out loud to nobody in particular. Unlike the crazy person that had attempted to drag him onto the dance floor with something sharp in her hand, he was going to attempt to do something about the fire or make a token show of it. He stomped in the girl's direction but his gaze was already beyond her.

"What a pussy. You know, I hope that you're proud of yourself, you just ruined this party for me and hundredsss of other sssstudents."

Attention was on them, she was loud and incredibly bitchy. Half of the attention was on the fire, the rest was on him. He would steal a glance in "Aldrin's" direction, he had a target in his arms. Some cute little redhead. Fine. He could work with this. “Good!” He shouted. He did not seem to have any remorse for the fire that was rapidly spreading behind her. out of the corner of his eye he watched as the girl he was talking to before miss Hot Topic dragged him away.

"Aldrin" allowed Rosie Turned to draw close to him. His hand covered her back protectively. His palm covered most of her back. "The fire can't get to us over here," he reassured her. He would not know about her near-death experience due to @Anatole Evans almost a year earlier. Her pyrophobia reasonable. His eyes would meet his friend, he had found himself in the midst of a verbal altercation with some strangely dressed girl. Was he bleeding? While neither were psychic, there was a shared moment when their eyes met. This was intended to be Rosie and Aldrin's out. "But this place is starting to get a bit out of hand," Aldrin reasoned. "Let's get out of here."

As if on cue, @Eris Fawley would let out a scream. Like Nam flashbacks, the traumatized youth would see the very thing that she expected: Fire. She did not have much, a bottle of water was like trying to train a mad dog by saying "good-boy" once or twice before the mongrel had time to maul you. It was a measure of futility for her to even try but she did all the same, with characteristic moxie and bravery she doused the flames with what water.

Eris' date, on the other hand, did not share her force of character. He did not run towards the fire, when he heard the heroes' call he ran the other direction. Where he had run was cooler and calmer, free of smoke and chaos. Yet while his back was turned he would still hear Eris scream. @Adam Harrington was no hero, not yet. Perhaps he was just not built that way. Perhaps the stakes were not high enough. Perhaps there was nothing there that was worth saving.

"Professor Lear! Professor Lear! Fire!"

Professor Solomon Lear was nowhere in sight, Adam would have had to go much further. Solomon had left not long before the altercation between the student and the stranger, but he was out of ear-shot when disaster struck. It would take the Headmaster several minutes to reach the castle with the two unruly boys, another few to rebuke them and then several more before he would immediately return. Of course he was delayed, something about one being a cheater and the other accusing the first of being drugged with a truth serum. They were near impossible to separate. He would eventually learn that the punch was spiked, that he was formerly under the influence of the potion and that there was now a student that was in more trouble than Kaegen Deathmote.

@Arc Perscivious was playing spy, listening in on a newly forming couple’s private conversation. The name should have hit a note with Arc, his ties with the muggle world and all. Perhaps not now, but later.

The students were already responding to the fire. @Illowy Magnard arrived just in time to see the party go to hell. All she wanted to do was socialize, so she slithered out of the safe, cool hole that all the snakes live in only to find an inferno waiting for her. Chatter between @Isaac Ambrose and @Elizabeth Linscott was cut short by the chaos. Apparently, Elizabeth had “better” people to deal with than Isaac and @Dinara Lucey. @Elizabeth Linscott beelined for @Illowy Magnard. It should have ended there, some social faux pas, a lack of manners and a hissy fit tantrum over Dinara's lost 'moment,' but not today as they were faced with something bigger than their unstable social lives.  The altercation and the resultant fire changed the helter-skelter affair into utter pandemonium. Seeing a familiar face was likely a welcome sight. Well, a welcome sight for everyone but Dinara.

Yet their immediate reactions were delayed. While Xailah and a large stranger debated, @Isaac Ambrose would stand up to @Dinara Lucey. While Isaac might have had rather angelic face, he had the devil in him. He was more assertive than one would have imagined on a peripheral assessment.

"Fire! Someone help!"

@Adam Harrington would cry out. @Alex Cloverfield and @Nico Shymane would make their way up from the lake to the party, see the chaos and they would also ignore the call for heroism. Abruptly they would turn around, there were other, better, safer places to get a drink and enjoy a first date. Alex was only a hero for damsels. He already had one, he did not need another.
Alex and Nico entered and left the topic.
"Oh look what you did. I ought to take you to a professor. In fact, I think I will."

She threatened. "What Professor," he scoffed. "The one that dragged off a pair of deviants?" He reminded her, pointing out the fact that the most experienced and capable people at this party were some of the upper level students. Many of them were along the periphery of the ball, a few of the braver students were running towards the fire they were arguing in front of. "The fact that you are literally standing in front of the fire your fat ass started, doing nothing!" Yes, he called a girl fat. No, he was not sorry.  Those were fighting words, they were also intended to keep spectators on him and her rather than on Rosie and "Aldrin."

"Let's try the bonfire, I think we would both prefer some contained flames," Aldrin suggested beckoning Rosie to leave with him. Far away from this very scary face. "Or... we can," he gulped a bit as if he was a bit nervous. "There are some Cabins that are only used in the summer months, I can see that as a gathering place for people that don't want to be found." Gently he would start trying to lead her away from the dance floor.

Yes, it would appear as if Aldwin was definitely trying to make off with the girl. Still, while suspicious there was not a lot to go on, guys dance with girls. Guys invite girls to other places. More private places all the time. Was this really a situation that @Arc Perscivious wanted to involve himself in?

@Ruby Cazares would be another late arrival, arriving late would have meant that she missed most of the interactions. [At least those before the last moderated post.] Yet she did notice something else that nobody else noticed: there was something wrong with the cupcakes. The Headmaster had an odd sense of humor, the presence of an earwax-flavored cupcake would not be below his school-boy humor, but he did not swap around the wrappers on several. That was simply dangerous. The foul taste of some of these cupcakes did prompt some of the students to drink more punch rather than partake in perhaps a flask hidden in their suit jacket. There was more chaos to be had with a cup of truth potion than there was with a nip of schnapps.

@Issac Ambrose would rush past a peeved @Dinara Lucey and try to snuff out the flames by pouring out the punch bowl/fountain. @Eris Fawley would encourage these efforts. Presuming a pitcher full. The multicolored liquid would spill out, combining with the heat and it would create a strange lavender colored haze. It had a twinkle to it, perhaps it was the lights. Not enough to concern Isaac, perhaps smoke was always that color.

"-Or, maybe you and I can take a little trip elsewhere to sssettle this dispute. I can ssshow you a good time."

@Xailah Alptraum had a sudden, abrupt change of heart. Nope. He was going to check that off his bucket list. He would rather gargle glass and then take a chaser of rubbing alcohol. His face, a mixture of horror and revulsion as he swapped the mouth vomit that had crept up to his mouth. "Buzz, you fucking owe me for this shit," he muttered.

Behind @Xailah Alptraum, @Illowy Magnard tried to isolate the fire. Adding to the chaos and destruction. The little girl was pushing the table away. Dishes would clatter and fall off the table. Decorations, already burnt and damaged would fall to the ground, self extinguishing after a few moments as she tried to push the table to a lonesome space. The fire was hot, the smoke was damaging her clothes and searing her flesh, like a sunburn. Yet, it was clever, but also destructive as a lone flaming table was pushed out by its lonesome. In its wake, burnt patches of grass. A few older students were trying to douse the flames but the table had become a moving target. In addition, the strange smoke was causing these students to cough and gag.

"In the foressst near here there is a large rock sssshaped like a tortoise. It isn't hard to find. Meet me there in fifteen minutesss- that is of course if you're man enough."

He was going to say whatever to get her out of his hair, but that of course would be a lie. Saying he would be there, pants around his ankles. Nope, his pants would be on, tightly doubly secured. “Not on your life girl,” it just spilled out. @Xailah Alptraum walked away, doing her thing, being weird. His plan was simple, play wing man for Aldrin. Aldrin was trying to leave with Rosie. He would start to follow them.

@Elizabeth Linscott would fling herself onto the burning table. That being her plan to quell these flames. It was a terrible idea. It was like trying to save your fellow fish from becoming fish stew by leaping into a pot of boiling water. She was living proof that Darwin was a fraud. Either that or she was a bit more emo than she looked. @Isaac Ambrose and @Illowy Magnard, thinking quickly would stop her and rebuke her for her foolhardy efforts. She seemed to ignore their logical attempts to try to smother the flames with something besides her flammable body.

The girl that was in the heart of the ruckus, @Xailah Alptraum would pass by @Elizabeth Linscott@Dinara Lucey and @Illowy Magnard. They were trying to put out the fire. Some with more effective means than others. The least effective being @Elizabeth Linscott's attempt.  She would crash into the burning table, the table that was on fire. Elizabeth would be on fire. Xailah was headed towards the other, not bickering or suicidal group of students. Rather than help Elizabeth, @Isaac Ambrose would decide to find a shovel for whatever reason.

Isaac left the topic.

The stables are on the other side of the grounds, it would take the boy at least ten minutes to get there by foot without a broom or other magical assistance. Another minute, if not slightly longer to communicate with the Professor and then a similar, if not slightly longer period of time to return to the site of this fiery disaster.

"Don't mind the fire, but do mind the older sssstudents."

When @Xailah Alptraum parted company, her opponent would walk behind Aldrin and Rosie if they left the dancefloor. Xailah would verbalize a warning before she took a dance partner in @Summer Hearst. There would be a several minute exchange of information. During this time the fire would rage on. Other people could take care of the fire was perhaps their logic. The diffusion of responsibility at work. Some of the older students attempted to blow out the fire, but the strong gust of wind only stoked the flames. A few others made meager attempts with their wand to cast the Aqua Eructo Charm, but they were not particularly effective. There were too many people, their magic a bit reckless and in almost all of their cases they were under duress due to the influence of Veritaserum in their systems before the presence of the fire. Far from a normal academic situation, their attempts slowed the fire and prevented it from reaching the treeline but the flames were lingering.

@Arc Perscivious had a lot of information, he had a pair of names. He knew that the big guys was convincing the girl to take their date elsewhere. There would be several minutes before @Morfran Griffith would arrive with @Issac Ambrose. During this time Solomon would be marching back from the castle, witnessing the night sky growing dark and the scent of fire that reached the castle. Solomon would run in the direction of the fire. Similarly Morfran would be rounding the castle, making him now the second chaperone for this event since none of the other Professors shown up.

Morfran would beat Solomon to the scene.

"Finite Incantatem"

Morfran would declare. His wand would swish in the shape of a shield roughly. The general counter spell did nothing or so it seemed initially but it actually did something. The purple haze would darken, become a dark black smoke. The glitter would disperse. Yes, there was something queer about that smoke. What he did, did not do, prevented or allowed to transpire would be unknown for now. Apparently fire and multiple potions mixed together was a bad mixture...

"Aguamenti"

Morfran would douse the flames with water from the tip of his wand. The flames would be extinguished. It was now time to figure out what happened.

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

Neatly tied shoes and warm red-collored socks walked onto the dancefloor. An oblivious look could be found on the latest addition to the bundle of kids present that night. Whether or not his delay was intentional, he'd leave up for debate. Most likely a way of covering up the talent he had acquired over the span of his life to arrive near the end of an event. However, he did come with a purpose. Following the confronting conversation with a certain red headed snake there was but one thing left to do for the young boy. Ask Ana to come with him to the ball.

As the deed was done, with an ever so brightly red to his cheeks. Here he was. Hugh Lowe, nervous for a specific girl to be found amongst the crowd. His tall figure usually giving him an edge in locating anyone amongst a rabble of kids, this time he had no such luck. He planted both hands in his pockets as he hopped up and down on his toes. It would be best to stay by the side of this floor he reckoned. Draw less attention to any inquiring minds, but just enough for Ana to notice him standing over there. Like one of those beachmarkers for kids to remember where their parents had made camp.

Slow and steady he trailed the edge of the dancefloor, carefully watching all present and counting those children he would recognise. The fact that this place was literally on fire just a few moments ago went straight past the boy's head. Nevertheless, the party seemed lit. A careful smirk emerged on the boy's face. Right up until he saw Professor Griffith's stern look scan through the assembled crowd. Maybe he was missing something here. Did he knock some candle over or something? He had only been here for just a few seconds. He would simply continue to not draw attention to himself, although he might be sticking out like a sore thumb for anyone that would just glance sideways.

Mentions Eris Fawley and Professor Griffith

Before he could even get the chance to search the crowd for whichever girl Ami had been talking about, a number of sudden and loud voices had his head turning the other way in a heartbeat- where something else very much caught his eye.

Fire tends to do that.

Its reds and yellows were threatening every other colour around the dance floor, and although it had apparently erupted ways away and wasn't too big yet- the second year could feel the waves of heat, and his widened green eyes were stung by what little smoke reached them. A way over, that smog was thick enough for the fairy lights he'd adored earlier to disappear. Scott had never seen fire act this way (clearly), and so stood glued to the spot in awe.

"Oh! Oh God..."

He didn't know what to say, only looked on in confused horror as the flames grew taller... More and more people were starting to gather and yell around it like black shadows dashing across. For instance, Scott recognised Eris Fawley, fighting it with what seemed to be all she had. And then Professor Griffith.

• The fire is put out •

When Scott had first arrived to the Campgrounds, it had been the smell of the food and drink that had enticed him the most. Now, that scent had been overpowered by that of burnt tablecloth.

Slowly, he turned his head back to his friend without changing his countenance. He gaped a little at her, as if to ask if this was some kind of tradition now, but closed it instantly when he saw her face. Ami looked even stranger than she'd done before... She didn't even meet his eyes, as she was staring blankly towards where the fire had just been, with her lips clenched tightly. What was the matter?

Then, not having moved a muscle since after the first yell of Fire!, Scott's mind (as if for once in his life trying desperately to help him) brought his attention to the hand he'd moments earlier placed upon the girl's back. Quickly, he understood.

"Do you want to leave?" He asked, swallowing with a troubled look on his face as he removed his hand from where he knew her burn was. He cursed himself, just a little, for not thinking of her sooner. It'd been more than a while since they'd talked about it, but he couldn't help but think it should've been the first thing on his mind. "Because we could totally leave. This was... I'd understand it if you wanted to. Is all. We could go to the lake! Or the castle..."

In an awkward little sidewards step, and with his arms glued to his sides, Scott interrupted the line of sight between Ami and the now black table.

"Are you feeling ok?"

Dinara's moment of temporary triumph was quickly doused, much like the fire, by Professor Griffith's less-than-timely arrival. The resulting sigh that escaped her body seemed to be both of relief and of disappointment -- she supposed that the Blossom Ball wasn't her time to shine as Hogwarts' next big Hero.

The haze of purple smoke that had erupted as the water met the flames seemed unnatural, even for the magical world. Dinara had seen plenty of fires back in her hometown, especially when she had discovered the existence of magnifying glasses and spent her afternoon using sunlight to burn holes through the unfortunate weeds that poked out from sidewalks. She was surprised to find that the smoke didn't appear to affect her, up till the point that Professor Griffith had shown up.

Magic seemed to have been removed from the purple smoke; the whole ambience of a Ball on Fire was much less fantastical with dark clouds of smoke billowing out as opposed to sparkly, lavender-coloured ones. It was then Dinara realised that she was quite literally standing in the heat of it all, and she gagged as the odour of smoke filled her lungs. Coughing and hacking violently, she tensed up as she struggled her way out of the smoke; tears started to trickle down the corners of her eye.

As the cool, crisp evening air smacked her in her face, Dinara never thought that she would ever have missed breathing.

Flinging the now-empty cups to the ground (with little regard for good environmental practices, the child had far more important matters to deal with, such as her bruised ego), Dinara watched the understandably perplexed Professor as he questioned the students as to what happened. It would've been a good opportunity for Dinara to score some brownie points with the Professor had she actually seen what had happened; unfortunately, she was instead focused on trying to beat @Isaac Ambrose in their battle of egos.

Well, it was more like her battle of ego. The poor boy did nothing but socialise like a normal student would.

Her eyes turned to the chestnut-haired girl who had answered the Professor's question, her head still spinning slightly from the sheer amount of smoke inhaled. Or it could have been whatever was in the punch, or perhaps even a combination of both. She wrinkled her brows. Knocking some candles over? One would have thought that the things at Hogwarts would at least be charmed to be fireproof. Wrinkling her brows in confusion, she pointed at the wand in Professor Griffith's hand, then at the tablecloths.

"Prrrrrrrrrrrrofessorrr... I diiiidn't seee what happeneddd... Butttt woouuuldn'ttt thee tablesss be like, anti-fire or summattt like thaaaat?"

Her words came out as a less-than audible-slur; Dinara was definitely feeling increasingly doozy by the second. The crowd of students and the chaos (apart from the fire) still hadn't entirely been resolved, and that didn't serve to help at all. Opting to sit down in an effort to stop her vision from spinning, she turned her pointed index back to herself, cross-eyed and confused.

"We shouuuld also... Get a doctorrrr..."

The barely coherent words that spilled from Dinara's mouth would be quite comical if not for the severity of the situation. Of all the words that she had spewed that night, that last sentence may have been the most logical. Not just for her; her dooziness would have cleared up without much complication after some rest away from the chaos and with deep breaths of fresh air, but for the other students, particularly the ones who had (quite literally) ran into the fire.

At this point, Dinara was still very much unaware of the other sinister ongoings that had been happening under her radar (which didn't have a very big range in the first place), though she would very much be keen on exploring it should someone more astute choose to involve her in the investigations and the adventure that would follow.

Reducio
If someone who's IC is currently aware of the whole drama and the weird students could rope Dinara in with what's happening I'd be eternally grateful! :') Been trying to integrate her into the wider scheme of things but she is far from observant enough to realise all the investigation things that's going on.

Rosie was practically behind Edwin as she watched the flames from a far.

"The fire can't get to us over here,"

The girl nodded and took a deep breath, but still, she didn't move. Her eyes were still fixed on the flames. Kids were arguing and yelling and frantically running around getting teachers and throwing everything at the fire. It was chaos.

"But this place is starting to get a bit out of hand. Let's get out of here.

Rosie came out from behind the tall boy and looked up a bit sheepishly. She gave him a nod in agreement. Her already wide green eyes were even wider. She cast another glance around the room, a last ditch effort looking for Howie. He was no where in sight. Finally, with a sigh, she gave another nod.

"Let's try the bonfire, I think we would both prefer some contained flames. Or... we can.. There are some Cabins that are only used in the summer months, I can see that as a gathering place for people that don't want to be found. She took a step backwards at the second option, shaking her head. This boy made her stomach drop, but anywhere was better than her. Maybe not the second option, though. "Um.. I think I could handle the bonfire. Maybe Howie will be there." Clearly, she hadn't entirely forgotten the boy just because of a dance.

She took another step backwards and looked towards where the cabins would be as if the thought of going that direction apparently making her nervous. "Yeah... the bonfire. Get me out of here, Edwin." She stepped off and away from the dance floor, putting even more distance between herself and the, now extinguished, fire. The remaining chaos in the area was still too much for the timid young lady.

Clearly Rosie had poor decision making skills.

He had not gotten nearly as much of a answer as the professor had been hoping for. One girl with brownish hair had said something about a girl that had gotten into a fight with an older kid. The only other thing she claimed to have noticed was that candles may have been knocked over? Was that really all the information that was available? No, no it wasn't. Because there was another girl who asked why the tables hadn't all been enchanted to be fireproof.

Ah, yes, the perfect solution. Not to teach the other students how to not start random fires and destroy parties with the wanton fury of a raging nundu. No, the solution was to baby proof everything so the students physically couldn't harm anything. They may as well coat everything in bubble wrap.

The welshman's eyes narrowed when the girl asked about the doctor. He was not at all happy, and was still a bit concerned about the flare he had seen by the cabins, although that could have been set off as a firework display or a prank by a student. He was also distracted by the extreme annoyance he was feeling for the slytherin prefect that had let her fellow students fend for themselves against a inferno so that she could try and flirt with a Gryffindor. Nico Shymane, her name was. A member- No, an ex-member of R.O.A.M.

"Do you know which girl is the one with the cat eyes? And if she's still here, please point her out. Otherwise, I'm taking everyone who may have an injury up to the hospital wing. If you're hurt, just get in my pocket. It'll be easier than trying to drag you all."

Griffith would then plop all those children who are injured and willing to be taken to the nurse in his left pocket. The pocket, clearly, was far larger on the inside, with small enclosures and such for creatures to stay in. There were currently very few creatures in the scattered enclosures, the most interesting being a large cat like creatures with silver eyes and black fur about the size of a grown lion that sat on a little hill swishing it's tail back and forth. The kids themselves would be in a small fenced off pavilion with a little bench, clearly made for the professor, as it could only fit one or two people.

"Don't touch anything in there."

He would act as an ambulance for now, even though it bothered him immensely how horrible the questioning had gone. A girl with weird eyes had gotten into some fight with another and then candles had caused that much of an inferno? Not likely. Most of that story had sounded daft. But then again it was the only story he had, so it would have to do. He would drop off the kids and then return immediately.

“If this is a complaint would you mind sending it with an owl? It's easier to ignore."

Illowy turned her head once more towards the Professor as he spoke to the crowd before gently nudging her friend, "C'mon, that means you." she ordered gently, offering a hand to help the other to her feet. Elizabeth would have to be on her own walking to the professor though. The brunette was already fairly small for her age, and in a weakened state was in no way to be able to carry her own weight, much less another person's.

While she made her way to the professor's side, she chose not to take the strange venture into his pocket, deciding there might be other's who needed the ride more then herself, "I'm okay to walk." she insisted to him quietly. The child certainly wasn't looking forward to the long trek back to the castle, tired, sore, and breath still paining. She did her best to keep her breathing level near the Professor though, not wanting to give the already daunting man cause to think she'd be any trouble to him.

Her eyes shifted to the group of students, trying to find the cat-eyed girl he'd demanded, but she was no where to be seen, "I think the girl left. She's in Gryffindor, I think, though." she explained, hoping that the matter could at least be resolved later on if no one else could find the strange girl who had disappeared into the chaos she'd created.

Pale eyes next fell to Isaac who was possibly to be the unsung hero of the night for finding help. She pressed dry lips together tightly before offered a small smile to him, "Hey." she gave a small wave, partly out of coyness for thinking he'd left them behind, and partly due to just not wanting to move her arms more then she needed to at the moment.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

Elizabeth opened her eyes when the professor began speaking. Did he say pocket? she wondered, scrunching her brow, but quickly pushed the absurdity out of her mind. She was too tired and injured to care.
"C'mon, that means you."

Elizabeth accepted her friend’s help and used her hand to stand up. As she stood she was hit by a wave of dizziness, and excruciating pain shot through her, almost taking her breath away even more than it already was. Tears flooded her eyes and spilled out, causing the world to look blurry. She brushed them away and managed to locate the professor just a short distance away. Just one step at a time, she told herself, willing her feet to keep moving. As she walked, she began feeling nauseated from all of the pain. Almost there, she told herself again. Soon you’ll be in the hospital wing. It was getting harder to breathe, and things started slipping in and out of focus. The air turned cold, causing the child to shiver. Panicking, she reached forward, hoping to feel the soft fabric of the magical pocket. For a moment, she felt something soft in her hand, and then everything went dark. The last thing she felt was a thud, and then nothing.

Does touching near the pocket allow the student to be transported inside, or do they actually have to climb into the pocket? If the former is true, Elizabeth is inside. If the latter is true, she’s laying unconscious on the ground.
