Danielle was enjoying herself on a peaceful afternoon walk around the grounds. She breathed in a breath of fresh air, smiling as she saw a few random flowers blooming. Spring was her absolute favorite time of year. The colored flowers, even if they were weeds, brought an absolutely stunning pop of color to the grounds of Hogwarts. Dani bent down to pick a yellow flower, carefully tucking it in her bag so she could make a press of it.

Just as she was about to continue her walk, a blonde blur passed right in front of her, nearly knocking her over. 'What the heck!' Dani thought to herself as she regained her balance, watching as the figure, a girl, quickly walked towards the forest. Danielle was stunned for a moment. Didn't people know to be aware of their surroundings? Coming back to her senses, she began to analyze the girl from afar as she sat on a stump near the lake, and brought out a sketchbook.

The girl had blonde hair, rimmed glasses, and paler skin. Danielle couldn't see much from how far away she was. She looked over the girl again, covering her mouth with her hand to hide a smirk and a small laugh. The skirt and shirt worn underneath her Hufflepuff uniform were in a shade of blue that clashed with the yellow of her house colors.

Danielle took another second to compose herself before she began making her way over to the angry girl. "Maybe you should watch where you're going next time. You almost ran into me up there." She criticized before glancing the girl up and down with judgemental eyes before she turned away and began to walk along the forest line.

Minnie looked up from her drawing, confused why a girl was coming over to her. She felt her anger spark as the girl rudely told her to watch where she was going. It wasn't her fault that she was in the way! Then to top it off, the girl looked at her, judging her clothes most likely. It's not that bad! I cannot believe her. She just walks up to me and is so rude-! She does not get to just walk away after doing that! Minnie shoved her sketchbook in her satchel and stalked over to the girl. "Hey! You don't get to just walk up to me and be rude!" She shouted. "Can you at least tell me your name? And, by the way, if you want someone to apologize to you, try not being a jerk!" She could tell her temper was getting the better of her, but she didn't care. This girl was going down. Minnie crossed her arms over her chest, waiting for the girl to respond, and thinking of ways to bite her before she did. She has to learn that you do not mess with Dukes. Hurt me, and I hurt you back, but three times more. This girl will not get away with being mean to me like that. Let's show her the talent I have, that when I get older, I can imitate her and that she does not want to be my enemy. She smiled and stepped closer to her. Then she closed her eyes and turned her hair a sickly green color, hoping to gross her out. Now all she had to do was wait for a response. This was going to be good.

Danielle heard the girl angrily shove her sketchbook in her satchel and begin to march over to her. Danielle kept a calm composure as the girl proceeded to shout at her for being rude, her anger getting the better of her. With her posture straight and her chin held high in pride, Danielle would not be intimidated by a girl with a poor fashion sense.

"Danielle Alden," She sneered, watching as the girl crossed her arms." And who are you to tell me what I should and shouldn't do? I just pointed out that typically it's polite to pay attention to your surroundings." Danielle glanced at the yellow and black of her robes which reminded her that the girl was supposed to be a Hufflepuff.

Danielle watched the girl take a step towards her before closing her eyes and turning her hair a sickly color of green. A metamorphmagus. At the action, she almost burst out laughing. Danielle glanced the girl up and down before a smirk found its way onto her face.

Was that supposed to be intimidating? Sadly for the girl, the only thing about her that was scary was how horrible the colors of blue, yellow, and the sickly green clashed with each other. "Might wanna change your hair back. If anything, it makes what you have going on here," Danielle motioned her hands towards the girl, "A whole lot worse." She snickered, giving the girl one last glance before she began to continue her original path.

Minnie blushed furiously and turned her hair back to normal. "I'm Minnie Duke, and you should know that you don't get away with embarrassing a Duke. And what's wrong with my clothes? So what if the yellow and blue aren't perfect, you should talk about judging others!" She took a deep breath and looked at Danielle. One way to get her back was to trick her. And she knew just how to do it. Now it's time to make her realize that she never should have been rude to me. She is going to deserve every bit of what she gets. Taking another deep breath, she looked Danielle in the eye and sheepishly smiled. "Um...I'm sorry about what I just said. I shouldn't have said that. I just have a temper and it gets the best of me occasionally I hope you can forgive me and we can start over." Minnie had to tamp down her temper, slightly annoyed at having to apologize for telling the truth. But she had to keep up her cover. "I have something for you, a candy. I want to give you a few pieces to apologize. I'm really sorry." She kept her face slightly sad and her words sounding sincere. Then she grabbed a jar of "candy" out of her bag and showed it to her. As the jar said, "pill candy, the teachers will never suspect you're eating candy and not making yourself healthy!" she was pretty sure Danielle would fall for it. And soon, she was going to regret meeting her. This was going to be fun to watch.

Dani rolled her eyes as the girl, Minnie Duke, continued to stop her to argue with her, but smirked as she saw the girl change her hair back to its normal color, her cheeks turning a bright red. She watched as the girl suddenly took a deep breath her attitude shifting immediately. That wasn't suspicious at all.

Danielle narrowed her eyes at the girl as she claimed they got off on the wrong foot and mentioned something about candy, her voice suddenly soft and face sad. She watched as Minnie grabbed a jar from her bag, the label reading 'Pill Candy'. The switch-up was too suspicious. How could the girl be so angry one minute, but the next all sad and soft? Danielle didn't trust it, and, she'd be a fool to take a random candy from someone who wasn't her friend.

Nevertheless, Danielle carefully questioned, "What type of candy is this 'Pill Candy'?" slightly curious about what the candy actually was. What if it was some type of drug, or something tricked out, like the candies from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes?

Call her rude, judgemental, or mean. She didn't care. Yet there was one thing Danielle wasn't. A fool.

Minnie bit back a snarky response, surprised how well Danielle had seen through her lie. It was time to step up the acting. "Seriously? I try to make amends and this is what happens? It's candy, that looks like pills so you can eat it at class. Here, I'll eat one just to prove it." She had luckily enough put in a slightly different colored pill, a shade lighter than the white it already was. Danielle wouldn't notice it, but she did. It was the one pill she had put in that was actually candy. And now she was going to eat it, and make that snobbish girl trust her. And then, she would eat the pill and bathroom, here she comes. Right. I have to act a lot. She cannot suspect somethings up. Hmm...she feels slightly familiar, like I went to a pureblood party and saw her. Huh. Who knows? I'll ask her after I'm done eating the "pill". Pretending to fume slightly, Minnie grabbed the right "pill" and swallowed it. Then she smiled . annoyed. At least, that was what she was pretending. "There. I had the Pill Candy, and as I'm fine, can you please accept it and we can try to start again. I really am sorry, I just had a bad day. Oh, and I have a question. Um...did you ever go to one of my families...pureblood parties? We hosted a bunch before Lil-er my older sister got accepted to here. Then we got a lot busier, and I have no idea what they're doing now. So um...did you?"

Danielle carefully watched Minnie with narrowed eyes. She watched as Minnie complained about her distrust, claiming that she was just trying to make amends. She sighed, watching her as she stuck her hand into the container and grabbed one of the pill candies, eating it. When nothing happened after a minute or two, Danielle finally gave in.

"Alright, fine. I'll accept your 'pill candy' or whatever." She said, trying not to roll her eyes. If this is what Minnie wanted to do to try and make amends with her, there was no point in trying to fight anymore. She stuck out her hand, waiting for Minnie to hand her some of the pill candies as the girl asked her other questions about pureblooded parties.

"Possibly in the past," she answered, "Though if you've had any within the past couple years or so, I wouldn't count on it." Ever since she turned nine after her mother died, the number of balls and parties she'd attended with her family had decreased significantly. The only times the Alden Family could be seen at a party or ball was if it was one of her Father's co-workers, a seasonally annual party (such as the Christmas ball), or if the Alden's themselves were hosting.

Minnie felt herself becoming relieved as Danielle stopped fighting her. And perhaps they might have met at a party, but now they were enemies. She handed over the "pills", and fought a smile. It was about to get good. I suppose I should feel bad about this, but she really needs to learn not to cross a Duke. Now, let's finish up this performance. Minnie looked at Danielle, half wishing that she didn't look so nice. Perhaps if she hadn't been so rude, they might have been friends. But now it was clear they could never be that. And really, Minnie was fine with how it worked out. She didn't need to be friends with everyone. She stepped back a little to give her some room and looked at her clothes, seeing that they weren't amazing after all. Hmm....well that....I still look fine just like a school girl or whatever. Thinking back to the last pureblood party her family had gone to, it was August, before school started. She didn't think Danielle would be there as it was recent, but perhaps a party when she was young, 7 or 8 years old. There were quite a lot of people at the parties as they threw quite good ones. At least, that's what she thought, being the host. Minnie mentally shook herself and waited patiently for Danielle to eat the U-No-Poo.

Her eyes narrowed once more in suspicion as Minnie set the candy in her palm. Bringing it closer to her eyes, she inspected the small pill-shaped candy one last time, shaking off her paranoia. She just witnessed Minnie eat one pretty much identical to the small candy in her palm, using the fact as a point in her mental argument. Finally shaking off the bad feeling in her gut, Dani told herself screw it before popping the small candy in her mouth and swallowing it.

It only took a couple of minutes for the small candy- well what she thought was candy, to take effect. A sharp pain in her abdomen had Danielle suck in a breath of pain. She sent her scariest glare at Minnie, immediately knowing that the so-called candy was not a candy.

"What did you give me?" she hissed at the girl, her normally sweet composure nowhere to be found.

Another pain in her abdomen caused another sharp intake of air. Danielle switched to her flawless French, proceeding to call the girl some not-so-nice words that would have her mother roll in her grave. Danielle quickly sent one last menacing glare to Minnie before quickly storming back towards the castle, continuing to mutter angrily in French. Minnie Duke had just made an enemy. And Danielle was going to make sure Minnie wouldn't forget it.
