@Violet RohrDanielle was looking forward to potions class that morning. They were switching partners for the first time in a while, and Dani was eager to sit next to and work with someone new. No offense to her previous partner, but the boy wasn't all that smart, which resulted in her doing nearly all the work.
As Danielle entered the potions classroom in the dungeons, there was an excited buzz around the room as students mingled, waiting for their new seating assignments. She said hello to the few friends she had in that class, before looking up at the board to discover what the excited buzz was all about.
There lay her answer. It seemed that as well as new partners, they'd also be brewing a potion with their partner. She grinned. Brewing potions in class were the best days. She could only hope that whoever her new partner was, was decently smart and not some stupid kid like last time.
Danielle heard the excited chatter around her quiet down as the professor entered the classroom, making her way to the front of the room before beginning to list pairs of names. In all honesty, Danielle zoned out, the sound of the names being called fading into the background. She finally snapped out of it once she heard her name.
"Danielle Alden and Violet Rohr." Danielle moved forward to an open pair of desks before sitting down, waiting to see who Violet Rohr was.

ReducioSchool robes-HufflepuffAlmost 2 months had passed, and Violet had taken a keen interest in Potions ever since she came to Hogwarts. She had gotten ready for the day, heading to the dungeons, potions being her first class.
Violet was one of the first students to enter the classroom. She stood at the back of the class, where the rest of the students were standing and glanced at the board. 'Potion Brewing', it read. That excited Violet, the potion-making lover she was. She had always viewed potion-making as a fine art, she loved the absolute precision needed in the subject. Not a lot of people would have agreed with her, but she loved brewing potions and could do it all alone very well. She did have a partner for the class, but her partner would never really help with anything except for stirring.
Violet soon got to know that they were switching partners. She did not really mind that, maybe they could divide some work? She hoped, however, that whoever her partner would be, they would be nice.
The class was silenced down, as soon as the professor entered the classroom. She greeted the students, and then started pairing them up. Violet listened attentively, careful of not missing her name. Soon she heard, "Danielle Alden and Violet Rohr." She looked around, not really knowing who Danielle was. She saw a girl, moving forward and sitting on a desk, when she heard the announcement. Violet approached her and asked, "Hi, are you Danielle?"Reducio245 words!

@Violet Rohr"That would be me." Danielle said, a small smile adorning her face. "You're probably Violet then, I presume." She assumed, her eyes flicking over the girl as she looked her up and down.
The girl had sharp features and an oval-shaped face. As Danielle looked at Violet's eyes, she found feline-shaped eyes looking back at her. She had a slim build, yet had about two inches on Dani when it came down to height. Danielle could make out her slightly tanned skin and nearly pin-straight black hair in the darker light of the dungeons. Danielle could tell she was pureblooded almost instantly, the confident and elegant demeanor oozing out of the Hufflepuff girl.
After a moment or two of silence, Danielle broke it, flashing another smile at the girl, "Let's get started, shall we?" She asked, beginning to pull out her potions book and flip to the right page. The Cure for Boils. Her blue eyes briefly skimmed over the instructions before flicking over to the ingredients side of the page.
"I'm going to go get the ingredients from the cupboard," She stated, "How about you set up the Cauldron?" Leaving Violet with no time to argue, Danielle set off towards the cupboard to grab the 6 snake fangs, 4 horned slugs, and two porcupine quills required for the potion.

ReducioSchool robes-HufflepuffViolet smiled back as Danielle confirmed that it was her. She noticed how the girl looked her up and down, and slightly felt uncomfortable, considering she was probably being judged. However, she shrugged the feeling.
She thought, talking to herself, 'It is just natural, Vi for someone to notice how you look. Even you noticed her Ravenclaw robes, and that she had blue eyes and blonde hair. No great deal, Vi. Stop overthinking.'
The other girl smiled and asked if they should start. Violet smiled back, and replied in agreement, "Of course." Violet brought out her own copy of potions book and ran her index finger down the index to find the correct page number for their today's lesson. She flipped to the page, quickly going through the ingredients and instructions, once.
That was till the blonde Ravenclaw beside her spoke again, and Violet looked towards her. Danielle wanted to get ingredients from the cupboard, and without waiting for Violet's reply, she stormed off, leaving her to set up the cauldron.
"That was kind of rude.", Violet couldn't help but think. But having no option, she set the cauldron over the fireplace, which was yet to be lit up. There was not much she could do, because the heating of the cauldron was to start after adding the crushed fangs. So she simply sat straight, waiting for Danielle to come back. She wanted to tell Danielle off, but thought this wasn't serious and she could wait for her next mistake.Reducio250 words!

@Violet RohrDanielle moved quickly, grabbing the required ingredients from the potions cupboard before making her way back towards Violet, who had set up the cauldron. Dani put down the ingredients in front of the two of them, before going back to consult her pristine potions book.
The blonde glanced up at Violet for a moment, seeing the bored expression on her face before sliding the snake fangs towards her. "Do you want to crush these? We'll need four measures." She smiled, her voice slightly softer as she slid over the mortar that they were to use to crush the snake fangs.
Danielle glanced up at the rest of the class, seeing that everyone else had also just begun to crush their snake fangs. After a moment, Dani turned back towards the book, reading what they were to do next after the snake fangs had been crushed into a fine powder. After they added four measures to the cauldron, they were to heat it for exactly 10 seconds at 250 degrees before waving their wand at the potion and leaving it to brew for 33-45 minutes.
Danielle sighed, realizing how rude she came off towards Violet. Maybe while they were waiting for those 33-45 minutes to pass, she'd try and make some amends to the girl.

ReducioSchool robes-HufflepuffViolet looked over to Danielle as she brought back the ingredients from the cupboard. Her emotions must have been on a showcase, because the next time the Ravenclaw spoke up, she was softer and politer than before. Violet, not being too keen on over analysing the situation, smiled back at Danielle and said, "Alright! I will crush the fangs. And then you can heat it up at 250 for 10 seconds! Violet carefully kept her mortar and pestle on the table, making sure they were clean, having no residues left, and put in six snake fangs inside the mortar. The fangs were beated and crushed by the pestle, till they were a fine powder. Violet felt satisfied with her work and called out, "Hey Danielle! I am done with this. You can proceed now."
As the mortar was passed, Violet looked into her potions book reading the instructions over, once again. Violet was careful about making no mistake in potions. A single little mistake, and the potion could turn a poison.
She then waited for Danielle to perform their next task, to heat cauldron for 10 seconds and wave her wand. Violet hoped, that the coming 33 to 45 minutes would not be boring.Reducio203 words! Sorry for a short reply.OOC NOTES:

@Violet RohrDanielle nodded at Violet's request while she crushed the fangs, beginning to prepare the cauldron for when Violet had finished crushing the fangs. Once she'd finished prepping the cauldron, she watched as Violet carefully crushed the fangs into a fine powder, making sure there were no large bits left. Once Violet told her she was done, Dani nodded, smiling slightly at Violet as she took the finely crushed fangs from her.
Dani then grabbed a measuring tool so she could add the correct amount to the cauldron. She scooped each measure of the snake fangs, eyeballing what seemed like the perfect measurement and counting the four under her breath so she wouldn't lose count. She then heated the cauldron to 250 and carefully counted out 10 seconds quietly in a way that seemed accurate to her. Danielle then grabbed her wand and waved it over top of the cauldron.
Hoping she hadn't made any mistakes so far, she turned back towards Violet. "Alright! Now we just gotta wait those 33-45 minutes and then do the last couple of steps, then we'll be done!" she exclaimed, not realizing that her inaccurate assumption of what the perfect measurement of snake fangs was, could be completely catastrophic as they neared the end of making their potion.

Unaware of the disaster the two girls could have brewed, the catastrophe that approaches them fast in 35 minutes, Violet awkwardly tried to ignite a conversation. Straightening her back even more, she started, "So, What do your parents do, Danielle?"
Violet had straightaway asked the question assuming the fellow Ravenclaw was a pureblood, Realizing her folly almost immediately, her eyes widened and she exclaimed, "Oh no! I absolutely do not mean it in a rude way. You can skip my question if it makes you uncomfortable. I am really sorry about that. I am really not the best at starting a conversation, am I?"
The young girl could not help but let out a little laugh at her attempt and shake her head. However, she just hoped she had not made the other girl self-conscious or embarrassed.
