You are teleported to the heart of a maze. It is obvious that you as well as your peers have been magically teleported to this space. The air here is full of colors, illusionary butterflies flit past you. You see one fly right through a classmate and then flutter off. The instructions here were simple, find a partner and traverse this maze but beware, errant adventures turn out to be the fool. Yes, it would seem that this is a place for both tricks as well as treats. This year’s maze was fairytale themed, if one would have read the muggle-books, they would find the things here rather... familiar as if they were teleported right into the book itself, a fairytale come true for some. Those that had not read the books would simply find this a normal maze.
As you look around you notice that there are 4 paths that you can take. One to the North, one to the South, one to the East and One to the West. Moss covered flagstones mark the paths of this natural maze. Which way will you pick.
Options:
A.) Travel North
B.) Travel South
C.) Travel East
D.) Travel West

The usual 200+ word count rule has been reduced to 60+ words. You and your teammate(s) must stick together. If you are unable to make a decision which path to take by the end of this week, either the majority decision wins or a roll will be done to determine your path.
Action success, spells and physical attacks for example, are determined by a d20 roll accompanied with your stats. Results above 15 will be considered successful while anything less is not. Quote your actions and stats in your posts for easier reference.

@Elena Jones@Anatole EvansSTATS
STAMINA: 8, AGILITY: 9, STRENGTH: 5, CONTROL: 8The colors were nearly blinding to Alexx. One moment she was standing carefully, eyeing the crowd, wishing silently for a saving grace to enter and steal her away, and perhaps her wish came true, and now she was here. Alongside her? Anatole Evans and Elena Jones. Two people whom of which she knew very, very little about. Elena was a Slytherin who seemed to have a bright future ahead of her, and Alexx was rather taken aback by the wittiness that the young girl posessed, to the point of where she would have assumed her a Ravenclaw had it not been for the robes that were painted with linings of green and silver. Elena was smart, and Alexx believed that perhaps she knew why the three were stuck here in this Merlin-forsaken swirl of colors.
Looking around her, Alexx noted the pathways that she had been granted along with her teammates. Speaking up, she commented, "Well, it's better to stick with the pack, so I vote we don't split up. If we get lost, we get lost together." Alexx was a natural authority figured, and she supposed, granted his history, that Anatole was too. This made her cringe internally, as she noted how this might be a cause for a feud along the decision making process. Still, the Prefect in her decided it was her main priority to get the other two safely out of here and as quickly as possible. It was just how it was supposed to go down.
She spun around, trying to make logic out of the options provided. They were teleported here, so she had no sense of direction, and no idea which way the exit was facing. This was left up to a rough guess, though it was based on no prior knowledge. There was no process of elimination that could be done, only a sliver of hope that she was making the right decision. Thinking of the direction she was standing when she got here, there was only one clear answer, and it seemed logical. "Let's go to the south of us. There might be some logic behind why we were facing the way that we were, and perhaps it was because we were being pointed in the direction opposite of the exit." She reasoned, looking at her two partners.
Alexx had also, by this point, carefully drawn her wand, as to not be granted with any surprises. It would not look good if the person of authority were to not defend those around her, especially not a first year. She felt as though she was expected to do this, and that it was just the clear decision. She knew a few spells, sure, but what would really help her in the long run? Would she opt to throw down her wand and swing a few punches? Then again, none of them knew what they were up against. Alexx would sooner cast a spell and hope for the best than throw hands with something in the magic world. Nevertheless, she was left with few options.
chill babe. we're all bad in someone's story.

If they were basing the maze on a fairytale, even Elena had to admit they did a damn find job. The swirl of colours was a little bit headache inducing at first but after a moment her eyes adjusted and the entire thing just looked, beautiful.
Her teammates, the brilliantly clever yet extremely anxious Anatole Evans, met during an event she’d rather forget and probably in the future would drown under a lot of therapy and some dreamless sleep potions. For now she just continued to assume it was all fine and normal, mental health? Never met her.
Alexx was someone she’d seen at some point, a few times actually. Enchanted Souls, the Slytherin party, and also one time in a hallway when Professor Lian got lost. Very little interaction but it didn’t take a mastermind to see the cunning behind her eyes. There was loyalty there too, something Elena was relieved to see and wanted more than anything to gain.
“South seems like a good plan, we should stick together. Lord knows what this maze’ll have, I’ve heard horror stories.” Elena grimaced, remembering not just rumours about past events but also Alan’s warning to stay away from the headmaster. It made her fear the school all the more, “Did anyone bring anything to mark our path with? I have a feeling this maze might shift on us.”
I'm weak my love.

[quote]You have until 26th April to get your posts in as well as decide on your route to take if you have not done so already. At least 2 players are required for the maze to continue. If an additional layer has not posted by the 26th, the maze with continue without that player. Should only one or no player(s) post by then, the group will be eliminated and therefore will not be able to continue.

Decide to go SOUTH and venture forth.

This time of the year was what Anatole deemed "Flashback Season." It was the time where he felt the fear of events coming back to him from the past.
Well, under that criteria, every season was Flashback Season. This spring just happened to be no exception. Last year, he was in this maze with some of the coolest kids in school, and now he was in this maze with a ragtag group of two others he had discovered at the Ball and the Cabins. One had kidnapped him, and one had a fluffball. It was clear which one was the most threatening of the two, and when they asked Anatole to be on their team, Placebo of Influence, he was a mixture of shocked, flattered, and utterly dumbfounded. He really couldn't get anyone better to join him? I mean, at least he had Reid Kovacs last year!
Anatole's confidence began to falter from the moment he entered the maze. How well could these two Slytherin girls do in a maze? And even worse...together. He had heard that when a few snakes got together in a knot, they were nothing but trouble.
"Uh, wow. I guess I'm with you guys? Stick together and go south?" It was almost like last year: they were all swift to decide and so firm in their decision that Anatole couldn't even let in a peep before they set off on their way. "Well...uh...I've got...nothing. I gave away practically everything once I left. Gave it away. So...don't expect me to help you. I'm just along for the ride." With one last huff of his breath, he kept a tight grip on his wand and stepped forward into the southern acid-trip-esque colorful mess.

Team Placebo of Influence heads SOUTH.

You and your partner(s) decide to go South. The trail curves to the right slightly before turning abruptly to your left. It continues down and after a minute or two, the relatively narrow path finally leads to a more open space. The cooling air is suddenly replaced by warmth as if you had stepped from a typical spring day into the sahara desert. The sudden scorching rays of the sun hits you, how was it summer so soon?
However, should you and your partner(s) attempt to proceed, you’d find your feet stuck to the ground, sinking actually. You would notice that the sand had somehow turned into quicksand. Your efforts in freeing yourself would be futile. The scorching sand is now at you calves. Then you would see small movements in the sand, a few seconds later hundreds of tiny black bugs - spiders - would crawl out from the earth and as soon as they emerged from the sand, would crawl towards you and your partner(s) perhaps... like the butterflies, they were just illusions? Possibly, possibly not.
