Candlelight solo

Declan grabbed Quinn's hand and led her outside. Quinn faced Declan.
"What do you want Declan?" Quinn asked. Declan sighed.
"Quinn I-would you-Quinn, will you join me for dinner tonight?" He asked. Quinn froze. Like a date, what will Cassian think? He-nope we are not thinking about that now. Quinn's thoughts suddenly saw her and Declan enjoying a night.

"Like a date?" Quinn asked. Declan smiled a little.
"Er-yes. Like a date." Declan answered. Quinn smiled.
"Sure."

Quinn told her parents were she was going and let Declan drag her to a cute outdoor place. Quinn sat down and looked at Declan.
"So-er-what do you want to do?" Quinn asked. Declan pulled out a basket that had two sandwiches and two drinks in it.
"I know it isn't much but..." Declan trailed off. Quinn smiled as she saw that the sandwich had her favorite jam in it-strawberry-not blueberry. Quinn gave Declans hand a small sqeeze. He is trying so hard. Quinn thought.
"It's great." Quinn said. Declan seemed to notice her hand on his but didn't move it. Quinn didn't move her hand either.

Declan talked to her about Ilvermorny as Quinn listened closly. Quinn laughed when he said his irish accent was fawned over.
"It's weird that I never speak in irish anymore-just english." Quinn said. Declan agreed. I never relized before but Declan is really cute, and nice. He cares about me. Quinn sighed as she looked into Declan's eyes.
"Hey Quinn, how is school for you?" Declan asked.
"Oh-school is good, I met some really nice people. This one girl I met on the way home seems really nice, she also lives in Dublin. Her name is Ophelia." Quinn responded. Declan nodded.
"I met some fun people to. My dorm mates are funny." Declan said.

The night went on and Quinn laughed with Declan. Finnaly they stood up ready to leave.
"Hey Dec?" Quinn asked.
"Yeah Quinn?" Declan responded.
"Thanks for having dinner with me tonight." Declan blushed.
"Don't worry about it." He said. Quinn moved closer.
"I really enjoyed spending time with you." Any thought of Cassian had been driven from her mind. Now they were so close that Quinn could see ever frekle on Declan's cheek.
"Yeah, me to." Declan said breathlessly. Quinn leaned forward, so did Declan. His lips touched hers. They were kissing, it was that magical kiss, that first kiss. The sound of rusling bushes broke them apart. Quinn turned her face away blushing, Declan's face was on fire.
"Bye Quinn." He said.
"Bye Declan." She responded. Quinn hurried home but her mind was still on how she had kissed him.

Quinn heaved a sigh as she sat down on her bed in her room in Ireland. It was a few days after she had kissed Declan and she had just seen some mistletoe. Mistletoe that had reminded her of a certain someone who had said they wanted to kiss her. Cassian. Quinn covered her face with a pillow. Quinn didn't really know how to feel. They were both super kind, and sweet. Not to mention cute. Quinn blushed from her underneath her pillow. Does Cassian even like me? Quinn wondered. She didn't know. He had said that he wanted kiss her but he was a second year. She was but a lowely first year. Quinn buried her face further into her pillow. She really didn't want to be thinking about this. It just seemed... Well Quinn didn't really know what it seemed like. Obviously Declan liked her. But had that been a spur of the moment thing? Something that wouldn't have happened if they had gone to the same school?
"Can you change the subject?" Quinn said outloud-well as much as you can say with a pillow shoved into your face. Quinn knew that her brain really didn't want to think about less painful subjects. It obviously is a fan of teenage love torture. Quinn thought. Quinn wished her love story wasn't quite as much like the books and movies like it was now. Two amazing boys, one loving girl, it wasn't as amazing as the movies made it out.

Quinn grabbed her trunk and started to throw in clothes. She was going to miss her family so much. Christmas had gone great and she had lots of fun with her friends. Especially Hogwarts ones. Quinn threw in her last article of clothing and shoved her trunk closed.

"Quinn dear, I think someone wants to say goodbye." Quinn's mum said when Quinn hauled her trunk down the stairs.
"Ok mum." Quinn said. Quinn walked into her living room and saw Declan.
"Oh, um hi Dec." Quinn said. Quinn sat down on her couch next to him.
"Quinn I wanted to say something." Declan said.
"Oh? What is that?" Quinn asked. Declan took her hand. What should I do? Should I keep it there? Should I hold his hand too? Quinn bit her lip then listened to Declan again.
"Quinn, I really like you, and I think you like me too." Declan said. Quinn felt her mind race.
"I- I do like you Declan. Like, I really like you too." Quinn responded her voice cracking.
"Quinn, I have got to say goodbye. I'll miss you in ilvermorny. I hope hogwarts is great." Declan continued. Quinn nodded.
"I'll really miss you in hogwarts." Quinn agreed.

"All ready to go?" Quinn's dad asked her.
"Yup." Quinn said, then hugged her dad.
"Thanks sweetheart." He responded. Suddenly a cough was heard. Quinn turned around and saw Declan.
"Can I speak with you alone Quinn?" Declan asked. Quinn felt a scence of dejavu.
"Sure Dec." Quinn said then walked with him.
"See you Quinn." Declan said. That's it? Quinn wondered.
"Bye Dec." Quinn replied then hugged him. Declan hugged her back. Quinn pulled back and then looked at Declan. Declan smiled then kissed her again. Quinn didn't know what to do but she didn't pull away. They stood there until Declan pulled back and looked at her again.
"See you soon Quinn!" He said then walked off. What just happened? Quinn wondered.

"Come on Quinn. Off to Kings Cross!" Her dad exclaimed. Quinn had already said goodbye to her family and her dad had brought her on the plane to London. Quinn hugged her dad again.
"Off to Kings Cross."
