Curiosity killed the Kid
An early morning as usual. Rhys was on his way to the Great Hall for breakfast just like every other day. Walking through the stone corridors that kept the wind out yet let the light shimmer its way into the hall warming the cold stones stacked ever so high forming the walls he was beginning to know all too well. Along his path was a small grey cat minding it's own business bathing in the sunlight.
Rhys instantly found himself headed straight towards the cat slowly in a desperate attempt to not scare the poor thing off. Once the cat curiously looked up at Rhys it didn't hesitate to try to hide, making its way cross the stone floor searching for a place to evade it's follower. Rhys didn't chase after the cat of course, a short 11 year old frantically running after a cat was never a good way to get it's attention. He followed at a slow enough pace for the cat not to run but to walk quickly away. "Come here kitty kitty." He whispered clicking his tongue. The cat obviously wanted no part of Rhys following it but he was more worried about the cat not having enough love. Then again, he thought every cat needed love, specifically his love.
The cat turned around a corner a little faster as Rhys walked with a little more eagerness in his step. "Wait no, kitty come back, I just want to love you!" The brown haired boy stated rushing a little more hoping to pet the cat he so visibly was distracted by. He didn't bother to look around the corner to see if anyone was around to see. He would be quite embarrassed if he got caught following this cat like his life depended on hugging the poor thing.
"I'm not going to hurt you I just want to pet you!" His voice echoed off the walls as he strode closer to the corner swinging around a bit too quick to process slamming his face straight into the wall. His vision blurred slightly as he rubbed his eyes. The cat had escaped him and had seemingly vanished from view. He frowned a bit aggravated. Not only did he not get to love on the cat he had been following for quite a few minutes, but now half of his face seemed to be glistening in a reddish color. He held his face glaring in defeat at the wall before muttering under his breath about how he hated the stones that had most likely caused him a future bruise.

The sun shone brightly onto the castle. What a lovely morning it was. Nico had finished getting ready and couldn't help herself but explore the Castle some more before heading to the Great Hall. As usual she carried her bag with her, filled with artsupplies and her sketchbook. You never knew when there was a good opportunity to sketch or draw. She would make sure she didn't miss a thing.
Scarf around her neck, Nico quietly made her way through the corridors, in her usual invisible manner. Being noticed by strangers was something she wasn't keen on, so acting like you would wear an invisibility cloak usually did the trick.
All kinds of students came out of their dorms to head for breakfast at the Great Hall, it seemed.
'Hey Francis, wait up!' Two Ravenclaws passed her, running like the wind. Hunger did weird things to people. Here's no different.
Out of nowhere, a beautiful white, striped cat darted by Nico's legs. 'Whoa!' Setting a few steps back, she watched the cat hide behind one of the many suit of armors quite a distance away from her. She hadn't seen the cat before and carefully squatted down. 'Hi, there..' She said softly, tilting her head. The cat glared at her and stayed hidden behind the armors legs. It wasn't planning to move anywhere for now aslong as they didn't approach it.
"I'm not going to hurt you I just want to pet you!" said a voice.
'Hm?...' Nico looked over her shoulder at the direction where the voice came from. It was really close by. And then there he appeared. A boy ran by the corner and straight into the stone wall. At the speed that he did, it must've hurt quite a bit. Nico jumped in surprise. No matter if she knew someone or something was coming, she'd still get startled when they finally did come.
Nico carefully stood up taking a look at the mysterious boy. She had never seen him before but he wore the Slytherin uniform. Ofcourse, she mostly only saw the girls from Slytherin. Not much of the boys. Maybe he was new... or maybe... she just hadn't seen him before.
'A-Are you okey? You hit that wall pretty bad.' Nico carefully came abit closer to get a better look at the boys damaged face.

Curiosity killed the Kid
Morning. The morning in Hogwarts was the time when some people were tired of waking up early, some people were excited for a new day, and Luna was the type of the people who were like whatever. She wasn't tired of waking up early or feeling excited. It was just an okay, and a bit boring morning.
With the fact that she wasn't hungry at this moment, and she wanted to get some books in her dorm, the Slytherin Prefect decided to go back although she was almost at the Great Hall. After all, she didn't mind doing it. She was bored and walking from this place back to her dorm would probably help her kill times.
Though, the young snake kind of wondered where Ray was. He usually wandered around Hogwarts this time, and Luna allowed him to do it. She couldn't bring him to the Great Hall with her since the girl was pretty sure that not many people would like her to the breakfast table. Not to mention, Ray didn't like being with too many strangers. He hated it, and neither did she. The girl was pretty sure people would pay attention to him, which meant she would get involved and she hated it.
The girl had already passed by a lot of students, and it seemed like they were all going to the Great Hall. She didn't know any of them, but that was fine for her. Her main focus was now on taking the books, not finding people that she knew.
And when she didn't expect, not at all, she saw a girl who had familiar red hair that Luna was pretty sure this wasn't the first time they met. Nico Shymane, one of the Slytherin Prefects. ...Why did she feel like they met a lot these days? From the day they became Slytherin Prefects together, she kept meeting the girl almost everywhere.
And near Nico, was a Slytherin guy that she didn't know. His face was... well, that kind of look 'fine' and 'nice'. Maybe something happened to him, but it seemed like Nico had already taken care of it. Nico was not a bad person, so she believed that the girl could deal with this without her help.
Suddenly, something really fluffy and small touched her feet. Ray? Luna looked down at him and stopped walking. She would have picked up him if no one was around. However, there were two people here, so the girl just silently stood there while a small grey cat was looking and sitting right in front of her.

The red faced child turned a darker shade of red. Rather than a light pink color the embarrassment on his face gave off a more crimson color due to the blood rising to his cheeks. Apparently the prefect had witnessed his little mishap. To make matters even worse for him the one of the other Prefects was standing a little ways off witnessing the whole thing go down. His eyes drifted down to a familiar cat, the one he had been chasing earlier. It was sitting in front of her in a taunting manner, or at least it was taunting to Rhys. His head snapped up as he heard the Prefect speak up, he didn't know either of their names. "A-Are you okey? You hit that wall pretty bad." The red haired girl questioned. Her hair reminded him of a fire, red and terrifying. It was a shade he would class as a mix between cherry and rosewood red with a tinge of carmine that had all been mixed in a giant bowl and poured on the girls head to form an elegant shade for someones hair.
"Oh you...um...you saw that didn't you. I uh-" The short Slytherin stuttered before the red on his face faded back to normal as his attitude seemed to completely change. "I'm perfectly fine." Rhys's tone completely morphed from a calm yet nervous tone to a bitter one that almost seemed annoyed. Of course he was fine, even if he wasn't he had to be. He did his best to ignore the other prefect. She wasn't relevant to the matter in his mind. She was a simple passerby who happened to witness one of his infamous mood swings that had been inflicted on the poor red headed prefect.

Nico was glad to see the boy was alright. 'That was... quite a hit. Glad you didn't break anything.' She smiled softly. It didn't go unnoticed that he felt embarassed and out in the open. Nico could imagine how he felt. To a certain extend. She never really ran into a wall before. Except maybe one time, where she... chased down the neighbouring cat back home. They were just playing until the spotted feline made her run into the shed in her backyard. Her grandparents were there to visit and saw the whole thing. It had left a mark on her forhead back then. This boy on the other hand, didn't seem to have any remaining damage from his silly mistake. Good.
The cat meowed. For a moment, Nico was confused. She had been thinking about the cat, but that meow was pretty real.
'Mrooowww.'
It came from behind her. Curious, she looked over her shoulder. First she saw the beautiful feline from earlier who caused this mess. Then she noticed the legs beside it. Her gaze shifted up, meeting the lavender eyes of her fellow Prefect.
'Oh! Luna. I didn't see you. Is..Is that your cat by any chance?'
She waved carefully at the cat, who ignored her completely. Nico gave up. The cat was only focused on Luna. 'Either way, she looks beautiful.'
Turning back to the Slytherin boy, she bowed slightly. 'E-Ehm... My name is Nico. Nico Shymane. A.. ehm.. a Prefect of Slytherin. And this is my colleague, Luna Choi. Another Prefect of Slytherin.' Nico smiled shyly but sincere. 'What's yours? I-I haven't seen you before.'
As polite as Nico was, she offered her hand to the boy dressed in green, wanting to help him up. Ofcourse, it was up to him if he'd take that offer or leave it.

It seemed like leaving in peace now sounded impossible. That was what popped up on Luna's head when she heard Nico calling her name. "You are not wrong. Ray is my cat."
She? Nico probably didn't notice the thing... hm, between his back legs. Luna rolled her eyes, bowed down to pat her cat's head. She decided not to tell the truth since it might make Nico embarrassed, and make the situation weirder. "Thank you for your compliment." Although, he was a male cat.
She gave the Slytherin guy a slight glance and then whispered to her cat, making sure that the other snakes weren't able to hear what she was saying. "If you didn't do anything wrong, let's go back to the dorm. But if you did, Ray, you know what to do." She stood up straight, continued hearing Nico talking. On the other hand, the cat slowly walked to the Slytherin guy and looked at him with the sad eyes, as saying sorry.
Ray was a clever cat. He might not understand what she said, but he could guess from her expression. And this might sound weird, but she felt like the sad eyes he was making was like what he showed her when he was... hungry.
So she wasn't wrong, one of the reasons that made the Slytherin guy's face look like that was because of Ray. Her cat wasn't the type that would attack another person, and what happened to his face didn't look like it was from a cat. There was a possible popped up on her head. What if that guy chased her cat and ended up like that? It would make a lot of sense. It was his fault that Ray had to run away, but it was a bit of her cat's fault too. And not to mention, Nico seemed like she wanted to interact with her cat. She kind of like Nico, so Luna was okay with her talking to Ray or touching him. Of course, she doubted that Ray would let the red hair touched him when they had just met...
She wouldn't force her cat to do what he didn't want to, so it totally depended on Nico if she scared him or not. He might approach Nico when she was sleeping, but when the girl was still awake? Depends on her luck, and what she would do.
Luna nodded when her colleague introduced her. Okay, guess that she actually couldn't leave this place now. First of all, her cat was still here. Second, she wasn't interested in being rude right now, so maybe she should stay here and waited to see if anything interesting happened? Maybe.

Rhys got up by himself like the stubborn boy he was. "I'm fine thank you. It's what I get to not looking where I was going. I think it was just turning around the corner a little too quickly when I was following it." He sighed brushing off his robes from the dust that had collected on the ground. The cat however had meowed, apparently it was the prefects cat. He watched as it walked over slightly with rather sad eyes.
Not knowing what to do he simply smiled at the cat. After all, the cat couldn't understand him and he couldn't understand it. He turned his attention back to the prefects once the red haired one spoke. Nico Shymane was her name, and the one who owned the cat, Ray, was Luna Choi. "Rhys Vyrwel, I tend to stick to the shadows seeing as I"m not very important so I do my best to observe others. It would be odd if you had seen me around honestly." He stated glancing between the two. Luna seemed like she was bored and wanted to leave as quickly as possible without leaving in the middle of the conversation that had apparently formed.
Nico on the other hand looked like she was just trying to do her job and help people. "My cat usually waits on me to follow him anywhere he goes so it's a bit of a habit for me to follow cats." He stated calmly, at least Luna would know he wasn't chasing the cat or running after it.
He couldn't help to wonder where Lavi had run off. Then again if he called for Lavir he wouldn't come. The cat wouldn't respond to Lavir, Lavi, or anything Rhys called the cat. Rhys decided he would find where Lavir had run off later. The cat was rather fond of the outdoors while Rhys was not.
