"Um - I don't think you're a weirdo." She looked at Leon's green eyes. "Th - thank you for helping me," she managed finally. Her eyes were still wide and she was leaning against the wall. "You probably think I'm weird after that." Viva squeezed her eyes shut, very embarrassed. "I'm sorry," she said in a quiet voice. The corridor was darkening quickly, which meant it must have been getting later in the evening. Viva quickly changed the subject. "We should probably head back soon, or we'll be late for curfew." She gulped. The last thing she wanted today was a detention, on top of all the other things that had already happened. She hadn't gotten a detention at Hogwarts yet, and she hoped she wouldn't ever get one. Being in trouble scared her, and that's why she was always taking measures to stay out of trouble. She never broke rules if she could help it.
She observed Leon as he bent his face down, his hair turning pink. "Oh no! What did you lose? I can help look for it," she offered. Why is his hair pink? What is happening? She slowly pushed herself away from the wall and took a few steps toward Leon.

Upon hearing the Hufflepuff telling him that he's not weird, made Leon's face go straight red. Why was he getting so flustered over some lame comment like that? Yeah, he has spoken to a lot of other girls before, he respects them and they respect him, but that's all there is to it. A mutual understanding.
And then there's this girl. A chance encounter that has him falling head over heels for her. Will Leon deny it? Yes. He had trained himself to block out a lot of emotions to keep his morphing powers in check. Something that he had managed to do for a very long time up until now.
"Nah. You're not weird. You seem cool." He said, trying to play it off. She had went on to talk about curfew. Naturally, Leon wouldn't really worry about such thing. But with her... He shook the thought out of his mind. He's just trying to be nice is all. His little act to hide his face could only do so much until the girl got closer to him. "Ah yes!" He exclaimed. "I left it in my other cloak. Back in my trunk. In the Slytherin common room." Which was a lie. He only had the one winter cloak that he had let Genevieve borrow. He would then nod and say, "Right. Curfew. hope you get back to Hufflepuff place safe. And if anyone gives you a hard time, you can direct them to me."
And with that, he would try and take his leave, forgetting that she still has his winter cloak wrapped around her.

Viva was startled. She was cool? She'd never ever think of herself that way, and she'd thought others hadn't too. She pondered for a moment about what people did see her as, remembering all the names people had called her. 'You're such a nerd.' 'What a weirdo.' 'Why are you always so quiet?' 'She's just a filthy half-blood.' Her eyes dropped to the ground, her heart suddenly sad. But then she remembered what other people had called her, people she loved. 'Viva, you are beautiful. Don't worry about what others think. Just listen to my words and believe them.' With the thought of her mother's voice, she felt her mouth start to smile, and she let it happen. Her friends called her smart, and funny, and kind, and now cool. She felt a rush of gratefulness for Leon, and his kind words and help.
Blushing, Viva shifted her feet around. "Thanks," she said quietly. She stopped, concerned, as he mentioned his lost item. "Oh..." she looked down. "Well, then I guess I'll go back now." Blinking slowly, she raised her head to meet his eyes one last time. "Thank you," she whispered again. "For... everything." And she turned to walk down the corridor, away from Leon, completely forgetting that she was still wearing his winter cloak.
