Elizabeth had been practically skipping around with excitement. The blossomfest ball had been all anyone had been talking about for some time, and now the day had finally (finally!) arrived. She had put her hair up in her usual braid, but this time got an older student to help her attach blooming flowers all over her hair. She then put on the dress her parents had sent, and off she went.

Many of the students were already at the festival, and the castle was practically deserted, but once outside, Elizabeth had followed the noisy chatter and pretty soon found herself at the ball's location at the campgrounds. She looked around, her eyes wide with excitement, taking everything in. It was like she had stepped into a fairy tale. There were bright lights hanging off of the trees, and large bouquets of white and yellow flowers adorned the tables. "It's so elegant," she whispered, before spotting the food. There was a table full of pizza of seemingly every different kind imaginable, as well as chicken wings with and without sauce, and finally a bowl of salad. However, the thing that mostly got Elizabeth's attention was the second table full of mountains of cupcakes. She hurried over to that table and began examining them. There were orange, blue, and purple cupcakes, ones that looked like it contained little nuts, and even one that appeared to have little bacon bits embedded in the frosting. Elizabeth even thought she got a whiff of chili powder as she walked past a particularly large pile of cupcakes. She settled 3 orange ones, a purple one, and a yellow one that appeared to be needing rescue from some bees that were quite interested in it as well.

Now, where should I sit? she wondered, as she gazed out at all of the people sitting at the abundant tables. She spotted the student who had helped her with her flowery hair earlier and gave a little wave, but she seemed to be preoccupied with several other students who were engaged in a very animated conversation. In fact, it seemed like several of the tables' inhabitants were quite preoccupied. There were even a few fights breaking out. Elizabeth decided against sitting at the tables, and instead made her way to a tree that appeared to be the farthest from the fights, and sat next to that. She would be safe there. She began nibbling on one of her orange cupcakes when she remembered she had forgotten a drink. She stood up and hurried over to the punch table where a couple of students were standing. "Umm.excuse me," she said, reaching past a boy that looked to be in her year @Isaac Ambrose, and taking a cup. "How is it?" she asked @Dinara Lucey as she watched the girl take a sip.

Andrew was somewhat surprised by the girl’s reaction, but as she continued to interrogate and circle around him, her air of judgement brought out a flash of annoyance that crossed Andrew’s face, showing that he was unamused by her attempts to mind-read and poke out a defensive response from him. Andrew wasn’t the type to let other people’s words and actions affect him personally, but what irked him at the moment was the thought of his time and breath being wasted in a pointless discussion with this girl. For the time being, he would stand silently and take the blow, figuring there wasn’t anything he could do or say that wouldn’t add fuel to the fire.

Deep down, however, Andrew was seething with bottled words. He had come to the Ball for food, not dancing. Last he was informed, there was no rule against non-dancers from joining in on the festivities. He wasn’t doing anyone any harm by not crowding the dance floor. Sheesh, was this girl desperate? At least she could have asked him, first. Not that it would have changed his response any, but at least it might have avoided this whole scene and outcome of rejection at the dance floor. Or perhaps that was what she was aiming for, to force him into an uncomfortable situation, to test his confidence. Whatever her motives were, it hadn’t put Andrew in a courteous mood to entertain her anymore.

Fortunately, he wouldn’t have to. Andrew’s taut expression relaxed and brightened with hope, as soon as the other boy stepped in, offering to take the girl for a dance.

A smile returned to Andrew’s face, which he directed at the other boy, and gave a small shrug of his shoulders. “No, all yours,” he replied, trying to appear casual without expressing too much relief.

Unless if he was prevented from being dismissed, Andrew would step back from the dance floor and retreat to a nearby table, where he would take a seat and munch on his remnant chocolate cupcake in hand, which would be the perfect remedy in cheering him up and helping him brush off his recent encounter with the so-called “crazy” girl, whom he would aim to forget for the rest of the Ball.

Edit (because I'm too lazy to write a full 200-word response on what would be pg. 12 of this event): After witnessing the fire that occurred at the Ball, Andrew has had enough of the festival for one night and heads back to the Castle.

Interacting with Andrew Vance and Elijah Huang.
She can be a bit odd, and I do not know either of you, if at any point the posts are a bit too odd feel free to end interacting with me. I am not easy to offend.

She could feel the swelling aggravation in the younger student. It had less to do with her and more to do with the situation. The bad music playing, the awkward dance that a few of the students participated in but for the most part they lingered along the periphery of the dance floor. Tables and chairs occupied by students who gorged themselves or made use of the dim atmosphere in the dark corners to get a bit closer. She was far from desperate, she lacked the passion that accompanies lust; the dejection that comes from loneliness even if she could logically delineate a path of sentiment and resentment. She was a creature that was built on logic and instinct, everything that filled the space in-between was simply missing less the rare, infinitesimal spark.

"To eat the food, of course."

Little did Elijah know, he just prevented something awful from happening to a one @Andrew Vance. Saying he saved the boy's life might have been a bit of a stretch but the second year Slytherin had certainly earned her dangerous reputation.  Andrew was not wrong, she was pulling the young glutton away from the confectionery buffet and into an uncomfortable situation to create an experience she could draw from. Perhaps they were both here for the food after all.

Erin would crane her head to the side like a curious bird as she looked over @Elijah Huang. She was taller and heavier than him, an inch taller and a little over twenty pounds heavier than the Asian stranger. Not that either bothered Erin, she was far from the most feminine or delicate flower to have ever graced Hogwarts. She was proud of her physical brawn, her ability to overpower others unexpectedly using means that are more accepted that unsheathing her wand. Casting was like using a deadly weapon.

She stopped stalking Andrew for a moment, her metaphorical claws would start to retract. She was mildly confused, somewhat disoriented. On a secondary assessment as the unknown addressed Andrew, her asked for permission for a dance. She would have expected the boys to ask each other to a dance, not to seek permission for her. She found that odd and illogical, if she could feel something she would have felt unsettled. Perhaps she did and she did not realize as she tried to glean from the young man more about who or what he was. A Slytherin. Probably younger, but hard to say because he could just be small.

She did not feel anything in him. She cast a glance at Andrew, the skittish young man whose fortune exceeded his favor. He was the easier meal. Of course Andrew relinquished his 'possession' of Erin to Elijah. The boy's salty essence might have satisfied this pit she had felt, how regrettable. Did this stranger not even dress for the occasion know? It would not have been a surprise really, considering they shared House colors. She took a deep breath, fine she would work for her meal this evening.

Elijah would extending his hand in her direction and Erin would accept it. Erin would mirror his expression, more a mimic than a real person in that manner. Her eyes gave no answer, but her lips did. She was still under the effects of the Versntium (5 posts need to be completed before it wears off) she had consumed, the punch was laced with it and in part a cause of this chaos. "You're like an empty kettle, there is not a drop to drink."

"... unless I'm interrupting something?"

"Just a meal," she commented. The words came out honestly, as easy as breathing thanks to the potion. She was surprised by the frankness of her words, they were not intentional but she was not as flustered as most would have been. She was just considering her options, how to get a rise from the stranger. "But I relish the potential challenge." If he was not escorting her onto the dance floor, she would take him. The safest place in the ball, plenty of witnesses. She had no need to drag some unwitting abandoned little girl off to the woods for who knows what, she was just as dangerous in a room full of her peers as she was alone and she knew it. "The confidence is often tenuous... and rare."

"I hope you are not some muggleborn whose parents had failed to teach them the aesthetics of dance," she was already starting to dig if he knew it or not. "If not, I will lead," she added as she waited a moment to determine where to place her arms, be it around his waist or his shoulders. Whichever she was offered she would accept, the answer did not matter as much as the reaction and what she could glean from it.

He was wearing Slytherin robes, not a suit. Yes, she was still assessing the details of the young man and as it always was in a hunt, the rest of the world would start to fade away in the periphery. "No suit," she would comment presuming that he did not change his mind and cancel his invitation. "Daddy issues? Or poverty issues?" She would not know if he was lying, but in a way that mattered less than people realized. The truth was only a facet, there was still context and belief, a number of variables people rarely understood.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

Some students such as @Elizabeth Linscott, @Isaac Ambrose  and @Elijah Huang were still filing in despite the later hour. Late comers that would likely be a witness to the devastation soon to come. There were attempts at being social, Elizabeth would find a pair of students to interface with and Elijah would white knight for one of his fellow Slytherin brethren.

Erin Ryan had gotten her claws into some unfortunate Slytherin first year, @Andrew Vance. She was dragging the terrified looking youth onto the dance floor but it looked more like a kidnapping. The Headmaster would likely have to rescue the unfortunate youth in due time. No, make that youths. She took another Slytherin boy, @Elijah Huang potentially onto the dance floor. This evening was quite odd, stranger than most dances he had chaperoned for before. There was always teens necking, students bickering, but both instances were exceedingly more frequent. The Versantium was not the intention, it was the distraction. Whilst the students were engaged in their own drama, the Headmaster was engrossed in the present matter. It was a dangerous game that someone or something was playing with these youths.

@Xailah Alptraum rolled out from underneath a table, looking like a complete weirdo. She might have been noticed by many of the dance-goers, but presumably she had enough sense to exit the table opposite of the group she had been spying on.

@Elizabeth Linscott would address @Isaac Ambrose and @Dinara Lucey. The punch being spiked with Versantium, a tasteless, odorless substance used to induce truth-telling in those that consume it. Diluted in such a way, the effect would prove fleeting of course and the effectiveness of the potion would decay and wane a few hours after mixing, the potion still proved to be a potent tool in this case. Unlike many of the others, chaos had not broken out between these newcomers. Besides an assault on Dinara's tastebuds, fishcakes not being on any future menus for the girl, they were relatively unscathed for the moment.

There was a small group of exceptions, a trio of potential heroes. They were paying attention to their surroundings as well as the fact that something was not right. Yes, it was obvious that there was something fishy going on and it was not the cupcakes. They would spot one potential problem, a really big guy. Like incredibly large. He was the sort of guy you could not miss even if you were a blind man with a dart given the general direction in which to throw. This boy was like a living wall. He was near twice the height of some of the smallest students and he was slouching. Dressed well enough, less the sneakers he wore that were barely noticeable under the pant legs, the tailor that made his suit likely had to restock his wares after producing that suit.

He had taken a liking to some cute little thing, a redhead that had entered alone and as far as he was concerned was going to remain alone, with him

"I... don't have a date."

She admitted. His face lit up slightly, but for a different reason than the girl or potentially onlookers would realize. Good, nobody would be looking for her right away. "I have a hard time believing that," the incredibly smooth giant would reply. "You probably just never notice all of the boys looking at you or how jealous they are that I had the guts to sit down," he let out a charming laugh as he added "but don't look... that was a secret I hoped you would never realize." He was smiling, it almost looked genuine even if the glint in his eye lacked. He was exceedingly polite and he was saying all of the right words. He was playing the role most girls would want at a dance.

"I was actually looking for someone."

She admitted. That should have been disappointing to older student, but he wasn't. It was an opportunity. "He does not know what he is missing," yes he assumed he. "Be selfish of me to say, but he is probably not worth your time if he is not here already." It was a bit cruel considering his intentions, but he had to play the role. The role of the interested teen looking for a date at a dance.

He offered to dance with her, soothe away her troubles. Make her forget about whats his name

"I..."

She seemed to hesitate. That was fine, she would take his hand. They always did.

"I... Uh... Rosie Turner. Second year Huffle. Nice to meet you, Edwin."

He was not a nice boy, but this exchange was nice enough. It was easy to play the role of a gentleman. Of the potentially jealous, easy lover. "I am honored by your acquaintance," he would take her onto the floor. Despite his size, he was light on his feet and he knew how to dance. One would have thought he was a pure-blood considering his confident and practiced movements.

@Raine Sage, @Summer Hearst and @Arc Perscivious were quickly becoming friends. They, like a small group of newcomers were not being directly effected by the chaos, but as onlookers they had a rather unique perspective of the situation. They saw the chaos and the overwhelmed, lone Headmaster attempting to herd horny cats in need of spaying as well as rivalries between students coming to a head. The students that had spiked the drink in the first place had devolved to shouting and fighting, that being where the Headmaster was presently as he tried to break up the fight. Ultimately resorting to using his hand to hurl the students in conflict apart by an unseen but felt force. Bloodied but separated, the Headmaster was dealing with that drama and not the potential issue that was evolving on the dance floor.

Meanwhile, @Xailah Alptraum had found a boy that looked older than the rest. She would grab the boy tightly by the wrist and try to pull him onto the dance floor. She was really not his flavor. But that was not the problem, the problem was the fact that she was holding a big ass piece of glass and had just cut into his forearm. He would not miss the sting. He would not ignore the blood as he ripped his hand away from @Xailah Alptraum He looked mad. His face red, much like the blood dripping from his hand.

"You damn crazy-ass bitch!"

He snapped as he pulled his wrist away. With an open palm he would attempt to push the girl back, away from him as he looked at the gash she had made in his forearm.

The Scooby gang @Raine Sage, @Summer Hearst and @Arc Perscivious, on the other hand, did notice something was wrong even before the altercation that was ongoing between @Xailah Alptraum  and the older boy. If they made their way onto the dance floor, if they were listening in they would hear the young man talk.

"You really liked this person didn't you?" He would inquire, a moment of feigned sympathy or concern perhaps. He let out a sigh as if he was struggling with something. He really wasn't, he was looking to play the role of the charming prince that found an excuse to draw a lone little girl away from this party. "I could help you find him." A turn on the dance floor. "And perhaps give him a piece of my mind for standing you up."

An offer no girl would resist, right. Of course he had no intention of finding @Howard White. He was not even going to try. "I heard that a lot of the guys were having a bonfire in the woods. Bit of butter beer. Some revelry. Not really my scene... but if I had any guess as to where he might be, that is where I would guess we would find him." There was no such gathering to his knowledge, he was making it up. However, there was something else waiting out there.

@Scott Alexander and @Ami Procoppio were too focused on each other to notice the chaos, the frazzled Headmaster or the brawls that were ongoing. They could only see each other. How sweet. Young love. Similarly, @Adam Harrington, @Eris Fawley and @Cecily Quinn were also too invested in themselves to notice what else was going on. This was their moment in a time of firsts. Of first dances, first loves... It was quite sweet.

@Landon Riley unfortunately was being ignored by the young girl he addressed. ((Someone interact with the poor boy so I could have more to say.))

However, there was something that was about to happen that was almost tradition at this point. Something that just... happened. If the boy had knocked @Xailah Alptraum back, she would wheel into a nicely set table full of flammable things. If not he would take a step forward, irate. "The hell you think you're doing cutting people like this you damned sociopath!" None of this a lie. If the first or the second blow made contact, she would stagger backwards into a table. The candles would be knocked over, the tablecloth would ignite.

WOOSH!

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

In no way had Illowy really planned on attending the dance, but after sitting by herself in her common room, studying most of the night, she finally decided to at least catch the tail end of the party. At the very least, she knew her friend Elizabeth would be there, and surely she could hang out around her. Anything had to be better then subjecting herself to sitting alone all night while everyone else had fun.

She dressed herself in the simple dress and sweater her mother had had her pack in case there was anything she wanted to look nice for. The girl then dragged a brush through her hair before slipping on her shoes and leaving the safety of her common room to mingle willingly with the other students. Arriving to find everything still looking beautiful. The campground was perfectly aglow with lights while the students were dancing, munching on decedent looking cupcakes and simply enjoying their time to relax with their peers.

Perhaps this wouldn't be all bad, she thought as bright blue eyes flickered around the party, trying to spot any of her friends who might have already arrived. Walking through the dance floor, from the corner of her eye, she could see the Headmaster dealing with, what she could only assume were overly rowdy partiers; still she continued on, constantly scanning around her for what might've been going on. Though her intention wasn't to find herself in any sort of trouble, but to find her friends.

The first year, however, stopped in her tracks when she heard one of the older boys shouting at some girl who might've been a second or third year girl. Her eyes caught the sight of blood, more significant then that of an accidental scratch; and the boy seemed more then aware of that himself.

In that moment, all Illowy could bring herself to do was look around, either for a friend, a teacher or even a clue as to what she ought to do. Perhaps she should have just stayed in the dorms and studied.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

Although she wasn't exactly addressing him, Isaac was happy enough to answer her question. "Ehh, the punch is alright, nothing too special." Peering at the liquid, which was rapidly shifting in color, he muttered confusedly, "I never expected it to taste like mint though. That's odd."

In suspicion, he promptly strolled over behind the refreshments table and tipped his cup over, pouring the punch onto the grass. Subtly, he put his cup back where the other cups were and went back to standing by the cupcakes.

Looking around, he noted how the party seemed to be getting more and more bizarre. Staring in the direction of the dancefloor, he tried to keep his face neutral, but felt disturbed by the tall indigo-haired Slytherin girl, who had just let go of an unfortunate first year and was now speaking with a taller stranger. Was it even safe to be around here? He couldn't imagine what he would do if someone grabbed him. Scratch that, he could. He'd probably freak out like a maniac and cause a scuffle.

Idly scanning the floor once more, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. Sure, everyone looked fine among the bright lights and shining stars, but tension hung in the air nonetheless.

"Mint?" Elizabeth made a face. She didn't like mint all that much. She hesitated, trying to decide whether she was thirsty enough for some anyway, and finally decided against it. She could always come back later if she was thirsty enough.

Elizabeth eyed her surroundings warily. So much was going on and it was all very confusing, especially concerning the drama. She wanted to help, especially seeing as one kid looked like he was bleeding, but what could she do? She didn't have any bandaids. Perhaps she could get the professor, but...She opened her eyes wide. Was he throwing them? Elizabeth decided to turn around and go the opposite direction. Remind me never to get on his bad side, she thought, turning around and walking the opposite direction.

She had walked only a few feet when saw the familiar face of her friend. "Illowy!" she called, rushing over to the Slytherin. "Do you see that?" she asked, pointing at the bleeding student. "And that?" she pointed at the headmaster. Despite the bright lights and the great food, the party was really getting out of hand. It reminded her of stories of crazy college parties where the police had to be called. She thought about calling an auror to help them but had no idea how to go about it. She turned her attention back to her friend. "What do you think we should do?" she asked. @Illowy Magnard

Open to Interactions
The Blossom Ball was well underway, and it was into the second half of the evening. Nevertheless, Ruby hadn't intended to arrive at the beginning. What would it be for? Socializing? Dancing? Eating? No, she had no intent of doing those things. If someone approached her, she would probably end up talking, but she was here to watch. The young Slytherin was calculating, analytical, and observant by nature, as it was a way for her to gain more information. She had a desire for knowledge – a yearning to learn – and that included gaining an understanding of the people in her school. She already had things on many of them, from various direct or indirect interactions – around the Slytherin common room, in class, in the corridors, in the Library, outside, wherever – because she listened carefully to what went on around her and paid attention to her surroundings. She was always aware of her environment, and made sure that she could take in as much as possible and not let many things go unnoticed by her.

She had spent most of the evening out in nature. With most of the school distracted as well as teachers, it was even easier than normal to escape from others. She had seen the sunset and enjoyed the vibrant colors of it. Afterwards, the stars were visible. They were incredible. No matter how many times she saw them, Ruby could never get over their beauty. The awe she felt when looking at them was pleasant, and it reminded her again of the privilege of seeing and experiencing some of the wonderful, natural things humans had been given on this planet and in the universe. It was also incredible how small humans were – how tiny and insignificant they were on the grand scale of time and space that the universe covered. However, even if they were insignificant, Ruby had been blessed with so many opportunities and had to remember to continue with her life… Simply being alive was something that stemmed from a tiny chance, and she was grateful that everything had come together in the way it did. Out of all the billions of possibilities and all the variables that could have been slightly different, she had come into existence. That was an amazing thing – life was amazing.

Besides the stars, there were other things that Ruby enjoyed about the night. For one, the air both felt and smelled great. The fact that it was now spring just added to that. There was also something that felt good about being high up in a tree – which was where she was – on a beautiful spring night, mostly away from people, loud noises, civilization, and unnatural light. Even so, she was forced to drag herself down – away from the gently swaying branches and the breeze carrying the smells to her nose, away from the feeling of bark and leaves and the perfect angle to get the best view. She had promised herself that she would go to the Blossom Ball, even if it would be for just a little while. She couldn't miss the opportunity – all those people gathered in one place. With that motivation, she managed to make her way over. For a while, she hadn't entered. She had found a good vantage point where she could watch from afar, making sure that she wasn't missing much. After all, she didn't want to enter people's line of sight before she knew what was happening. Why would she deliberately put herself at such a disadvantage?

From this brief observing time, she had learned that it was kind of a typical event – with people just doing what people did. However, she had also figured out that there was something wrong with the punch and people had commented on it – she couldn't quite make out what they had said. Veritaserum in it? That was weird, but her questions on the topic couldn't be answered yet. As for the cupcakes, many people seemed to be struggling with them and spitting them out. Bad flavors, then. Was it a plot to make people more likely to drink the punch without thinking? Whatever it was, Ruby was not planning on eating anyway. Besides, most of this food was so unhealthy. Pizza and cupcakes, really? At least some salad had been provided – out of anything, that was what she was most likely to eat. But, no, she still wasn't going to even have some of that. Anyway, now that she had seen enough from over here, she could actually enter the Ball.

Well… it was certainly louder now. Music blaring, kids half-yelling at each other to be heard… in some ways, it could actually be quite good. People were distracted, and there was noise to cover her. If she had been plotting something or was going to cause something to happen, it would be the perfect setting. One would think that there would be a lot of witnesses, but many people focused elsewhere, too absorbed in their food or conversation/dance partners. A whole gathering of people, almost waiting for something to happen. What a wonderful setting for disaster or trouble. She'd leave it the way it was – she had no reason to be the one to cause something bad to happen, and she hadn't watched enough yet. There was still enough time. Enough time to watch? Enough time for someone else to strike? It didn't matter.

Her eyes darted around the area, settling on each attendee for a moment, with no exceptions. She had entered silently – not that it would be heard over the noise even if she hadn't – but she shouldn't attract attention yet. Her smooth, fluid movements had been crafted over the years to allow her to move in the quietest way possible without having to slow down. At this point, it looked like she just glided when she walked. It was a calculated glide, though, and it had a strange air of elegance to it. Conversations were currently taking part around her, and she listened in on a few of them, interested as to what she could learn tonight. Most people were so boring. She wanted someone fun, something interesting! Apparently, that would not be provided yet. As for the attire, people wore many different things, ranging from school wear to formal ballgowns. Ruby wasn't wearing anything like a ballgown, not to this event. No, her own clothing was a little more practical. She could move freely in this and run if she needed to, and she had several weapons and things concealed in the layers of the fabric, just in case of emergency. Hogwarts wasn't exactly known for being a super safe place…

She analyzed many of the people here, and watched the Headmaster chase people around with water. Really, one would thing that the Headmaster of such a famous school would at least try to act somewhat dignified. Didn't he have better things to do than spray kids with water? She sighed softly and let her gaze travel on. Did any of these kids know how to stand up straight? Most of them were hunched over and generally slouched. Ruby's own back was straight, and she had kept it that way for years. The way she held herself, moved, and acted gave her an aura of quiet, calm confidence, sharp intelligence, and strong ambition, determination, passion, and power. She didn't mind it, as it caused her no harm and it didn't reveal anything about her that she minded others knowing. The rest of her appearance was just as impeccable as her posture, too – years of having to always look her best rubbed off on her, and now she made sure that her clothes were always perfectly clean and in place, as well as her hair.

She was watching an interaction – nothing particularly fascinating, but one of the two speaking looked rather uncomfortable. Ruby was just wondering if she should help when her gaze suddenly got drawn away to someone seemingly being attacked by a younger girl. Finally, this was where the interesting part came in. Sure, there could have been interesting things without violence, but Ruby did not care much for the "drama" that many other students seemed to get so involved in, and it had just turned out that the turn of events came from an act of violence – a boy's arm being cut by a shard of glass. Chaos would undoubtedly follow. All she could do was stare – stare as everything would change. Chaos was such an interesting, beautiful thing, yet so many failed to recognize that. People deemed the lovers of chaos "crazy" and "cold", and said that they (the chaos-lovers) had something wrong with them. Was something actually wrong with those who didn't love it? Not all chaos was bad, and chaos had become something that was all around, experienced at many different times by everyone on the planet. Chaos could create so much, too. Yet people still feared it, because chaos had often been defined in terms of control, and one of the deep fears of many was losing control. Was there really any control to lose in the first place? Was the concept of control only that – merely a concept? “The illusion of control has fooled many…” she whispered, too quietly for others to hear.

The music still continued playing – the soundtrack to the probable downward spiral of events. When would the pretense of normality and order fall apart? How long would it be before people started panicking? Ruby stood, watching, her cold blue gaze lacking emotion. She was waiting.

Before Dinara could even open her mouth to reply, the male had already cut in; his reply leaving her feeling more than a little confused. Mint? The girl was most definitely sure that the taste that lingered on her tastebud was anything but mint. Yet again, before Dinara could even interject, the girl left to presumably find another friend.

Now, on better days Dinara would simply have dismissed these two acts -- she was, after all, quite an easygoing person. On this particular day, however, she seemed more inclined to just speak her mind. While this may not seem to be a bad thing, the diluted effects of the Versantium coupled with Dinara's brash and rather judgemental nature caused her to truly become some kind of harsh, truth-spitting demon that any sane student would like to avoid. Preferably, for Dinara's sake, she would also avoid running into any professors so as to prevent herself from landing in hot water.

Without missing a beat, Dinara snapped her head back to face the male after having watched the female saunter away. If she had a choice, she would likely have given her a piece of her mind. How rude for someone to just walk away without having interacted with everyone in the group she was addressing! Unfortunately for the imp-faced male, he was left alone to bear her annoyance. Besides, he wasn't completely free of blame, either. That sentence was meant for her, not him!

Crossing her arms, she glared at the boy, her annoyance evident from her pouted lips and downturned brows. The girl was, by nature, already pretty upfront with her remarks, but the effect of the punch made it even more prominent.

"Well, thanks for answering the question. She was obviously talking to me, the
Dinara Lucey, but you just had to go ruin my moment!"

Her voice sounded more animalistic than that of an eleven-year-old throwing a tantrum, an alarming sound that didn't seem possible coming from her petite frame. The absurdity of the issue that she was upset over coupled with her far too serious treatment of the matter would be quite laughable if not for the fact that Dinara did genuinely look like an angry lioness waiting to pounce.

Whilst she was throwing her little hissy fit, Dinara had failed to realise what was happening around her, or even the predatory danger that was lurking about the Campgrounds that hosted the Blossom Ball. Should Isaac choose to point this out to her, there is no doubt that the feisty, bushy-haired girl would drag him along in a bid to yell at the duo that was causing such a ruckus in the middle of the dance floor.

When they said tear up the dance floor, Dinara was sure that people weren't meant to take it literally.

Apologies for my little girl's hissy fit, please don't feel offended! Just go along with it, she may not be the sweetest now but it'll be fun at the very least! :p

Blossom Ball Dancefloor Event Closed
The first year Slytherin snapped out of her initial shock when she caught sight of her friend, blue hues going in every which direction Elizabeth pointed out, "I thought you said that was suppose to be some sort of party not a... mosh pit." she ran a hand through her hair, looking around herself and trying to decide what the best plan of action ought to be. Her first plan would have been to get the Headmaster, but he certainly seemed preoccupied, and Illowy wasn't fond of the idea of stepping up to another witch who, not only possibly knew more then she did, but was also armed with a weapon (even if that weapon was only glass). After all, they were just children after all.

"Well, the way I see it... we can do something stupid like confront her, we can try to get the headmaster's attention or find another teacher or maybe a prefect to help? Or, we can just walk the other way and hope she didn't see us see what she just did." at the moment, the latter felt like Illowy's most preferred option. After all, the girl seemed like a bonafide crazy, and being on the receiving end of that type of crazy wasn't the Slytherin's idea of a good time.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.
