Howard's wand was not the well-trained dog, Howard was. He saw that wand like a mutt would see a bone, his eyes glued on her, well the 'bone' like a good doggy. When she called, he came. Sure, he bit and he snapped and she needed to get him a better collar, but a spade is a spade. Thomas, on the other hand, he was like that kid that ignored the sign saying "beware of dog" and decided to have a game of fetch. Howard was near feral and Thomas had climbed over the chain link fence.

She would notice something was wrong with Howard moment too late. When his legs came towards his chest and his laces trailed behind, she realizes that he must have broken free those moments she was distracted by Thomas. She had no time to mentally chastise herself for her folly, she called out to Thomas instead. He needed to get away from Howard before...

Howard had grabbed hold of Thomas' collar and ripped the infelicitous pre-teen off his feet. Thomas' palms would slap the cold tile as Howard's weight yanked him downward and the previously bound Hufflepuff returned to his feet. "Get away from him!" Erin shouted as if she was warning her brother that a rattlesnake had ventured onto their path. She was not talking to Howard, she was warning Thomas. If one did not know any better, one would have thought that there was an inflection of concern. Perhaps Thomas was playing the Slytherin better than either of them had realized.

Howard came up grinning, it would have been unsettling had Erin already known full-well that this monster was in there. This was the beast she had been poking at with a stick, the creature that she saw stirring just beneath the surface. She was not sure how deep and how dark the madness went, but she had a feeling it went to the bone. The pleasant facade of one Howie White was paper thin. She only needed to pick at it, like a scab and now the blood and pus was just pouring out from him. Of course she might have overestimated how clever she was in letting a dangerous dog know that they had teeth and claws of their own. She thought she could break him, like any good pet in a matter of weeks. She still thought she could.

Howard was after Erin, not Thomas and she knew it. She was ready for Howard to come charging in like the bull he was. He had the advantage in physical combat, Erin lacked the advantage of that rush of epinephrine that comes from ones' passions but she was a hell of a lot smarter than the Hufflepuff. His eyes were on the wand, that would be his primary objective. He would use his muscle to succeed, but from there Howard would fail. Howard was not looking to win a fight, he was looking to dominate. He likely did not realize it, but that rush of power that he had become addicted to had less to do with the desire to fight, otherwise he would have fought those Ravenclaws in the other room. He didn't because there was nothing for him once blows were exchanged, he was looking to subjugate someone.

All Thomas had to do was stay down. Howard would rush past him and he would hurt her. One might have concluded that Erin was a masochist, the truth was quite the contrary. She did not desire pain even if it gave color to an otherwise bleak world, she was treating this pain as a commodity. Pain now for a favor later. She was breaking down Howard's inhibitions, whatever personal codes he had cultivated to seem 'normal.' She was ripping him down and he was the one throwing the hardest hitting punches.

Erin's wand would be discarded as Thomas struck Howard in the gut. "Thomas!" Erin repeated, almost as if she was rebuking him. In actuality, she was. Howard's ire was spreading to the first year and he too would be marked. Younger, physically weaker and less trained, the playing field was skewed between them. Not that she should have cared. Not that she should have noticed. But she had. She was going for her wand that had clattered as it had hit the floor and skid to the right of the tussling pain. She would end this absurdity once and for all, put Howard back into his kennel and work on a less hysterical Thomas until Howard's homicidal rage abates.

She would rush for her wand, her clogs like hooves on this floor. Howard was coming for her as she expected he would. If she did not quite make it, she would be close she reasoned. Once she gripped her wand she would repel Howard back. Howard would have stopped her entirely had Thomas not interceded, his hand wrapped around Howard's ankle. It was enough to force the Huffle to stumble forward rather than crash into her and crush her against the wall. Rather his hands would reach out for her and knock Erin away from her objective. His hands had pushed her backwards and toppled her over. Howard fell on his face, Erin landed on her ass.

It would be a less than dignified scene, Erin did not own pants and well... there are very few graceful landings one can make. As if they were not traumatized enough. She would have enough time to scramble to her knees before Howard, the unstoppable juggernaut it would seem, would resume his seemingly ceaseless campaign to retrieve his wand. She did not have far to go, the bathroom is only so large. She would back away, trying to stand but never getting past a low crouch with a wobbly stance that was nearly disrupted with each desperate grasp.

Since it was behind Howard, the window that is, she would see it. "It" being the most apt description for the crawler clinging to a broom that she viewed. It was more like a malnourished bat than a spider, slingshot drawn and aimed at the room. She had recognized it as the corpse. The obviously intelligent (she had not met Kae yet, so 'intelligent' can still be used to describe him) creature was on the other side of the window. Erin and Howard would respond to this perceived threat in the exact opposite of ways. Where Howard would cease his maddened attempts, as if he had turned off a switch that Erin had very much noticed, Erin would find herself more curious than concerned. This was in part because she did not feel fear, otherwise she probably would have chosen a similar pose in her crouched position.

“Erin, give me my fucking wand.”

Howard whispered. Erin still had his wand, it was likely the only reason she was still conscious considering when he had both his strength, his rage and his wand she would no longer be any match for him. She was not going to give it up. She would be dead if she tried. No, Erin was about to do something so incredibly brilliant it was stupid.

She stood up.

She brushed the bust off her blouse and smoothed her skirt with the palms of her hands.

Her stockings had bunched up some during the tussle, she would bend over and give them each a tug.

She would approach the window.

She would open the window.

She would lean out the window and take a long look at the strange device in Kaegen's hand. "Are you certain you are holding that thing right side up?" She emulated Howard's smirk as she backed away from the window. "Come on in."

Apparently she had a plan, one she felt confident enough about to invite the strange corpse that had just threatened to kill moments earlier into the confined space. "Let's..." the smirk turned into a smile that looked quite queer on her face "be the bestest of friends. My name is Erin Ryan, you have never heard of me. Come in."

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

They were fighting, there was conflict. A lot of it. He could practically feel the hostility from where he was, behind the window. But there was so much going on, he wasn't sure where to shoot. So he decided to simply not shoot at all until he had a target, that much made sense. And when they noticed that he was there, heard the tapping on the wall, and hopefully also heard his voice, the people inside froze. One of them put his hands in the air.

It made sense. In the dark little world Kae lived in, if someone had you pinned down and there was really nothing you could do, then you were dead. And yes, that one boy acknowledged it. It aligned with everything he knew to be true. So out of the three people in the bathrooms, one of them raised his hands in defeat, another did nothing, and the third...

The boy would have shot the girl, had he not been entirely stunned. She didn't show any signs of either hostility or terror, but instead walked up to him and opened the window, inviting him in. She even critiqued the way he was holding his slingshot. But the worst part of it all was the fact that she said she wanted to be friends. Friends was something someone was when they were willing to kill or be killed for each other. It was not something you just casually offer up to a boy actively contemplating killing you.

His eyes widened, eyebrows raised showing clear shock. The two, normally quite still black circles that made up the boy's pupils pulsated. He had no clue what was going on, and it was more than a little bit scary. In fact, it was terrifying. If he had not been holding the slingshot back, his finger would have involuntarily moved a little.

For a boy who made his own reality, who perceived everything as he wished to perceive it, as he thought it must be perceived based on past experiences, something that directly contradicted that contradicted his world. It was confusing, it made no sense, and it was very, very scary.

To be fair, most things scared him. Nearly everything. Everything and anything he could possibly twist to be evil or dangerous, he did. Students were monsters, professors were trying to kill everything, the dark places were at large and he was almost entirely alone. But to him, all of things made at least some modicum of sense. This? Some girl coming over to a boy who had threatened to kill her and invited him inside? That did not make sense, that was terrifying.

But how was he supposed to react? Somewhere, an exceptionally quiet voice told him that he did need a friend, that he wanted a friend badly. That he wanted one bad enough to try and kill wizards powerful enough to snuff his life with a single spell, and indeed he had tried to kill them. He had survived, mostly because said wizards were professors hired to keep him and the other students safe, not retaliate against second years with owl armor.

He found himself climbing in to the window slowly, very, very carefully, staring at all three of the other students. He was prepared to leap backwards, holding his broom, which looked a lot like an umbrella, at any moment. Every inch forward he moved, his body was leaned back, perfectly poised for a launch into a free fall that would take him far away from here.

Why had he entered, anyway? It was probably the sun. Or at least that was the hastily rationalized answer the boy gave himself. He didn't climb all the way in, either. Just enough so the sun wasn't shining on him. He had only been out for a couple minutes, but he didn't want to risk being burned. The sun just hated him, he was convinced it was because he had hidden from that sun for so long that it wanted vengeance, but the alternative was that someone cursed him with sunlight vulnerability.

Still, there he crouched, just barely inside the window, holding his broom as out of arms reach from the girl as he could. The hand holding the slingshot slunk back into his sleeve, only to reemerge with a wand instead. He couldn't use a slingshot one handed, and he certainly couldn't drop his broom. So it would have to be a stand off.

"Explain."

Arc Perscivious had been perusing the library for obscure magical topics for hours before he found a huge tome boringly called “Hundreds of Variations of The Repairing Charm”. It only had a hundred and three variations of the spell, though. Arc certainly wouldn’t call something in the ‘hundreds’ if it was only barely above a hundred. The title was just an exaggeration, just like many other books in the library. Disappointing.

To be fair, it still had its uses and it was still an interesting topic. Right on the first page of the book, it even said that the book would repair itself if something were to happen to it. The boy didn’t dare to test its claim, but if the book actually taught the boy such spells than it would be immensely useful! So, Arc would take his win and borrowed the book happily. Sort of.

The thick, heavy book tired the scrawny boy many times along his long, treacherous journey from the library in the ground floor to the Ravenclaw common room in the west tower. He had to stop multiple times to take a breather before continuing his odyssey. Now that he thought about it, he should’ve just finished the book in the library, even if it would take him a few days back and forth. For a smart kid, he could be an idiot sometimes.

When the entrance to the common room was finally within sight, he felt a grumbling in his stomach, a calling of nature. He realized he needed to feed the porcelain stallion a brown bone, to drop the kids of the pool, or to honk out a dirt snake.

Put simply, he needed to poop.

Like really really needed to.

With rekindled spirit and regained vigor, Arc dashed to the entrance and answered the riddle in record time. He was always good with puzzles and finding patterns, but he had surprised even himself this time. The dark-haired boy ran past all the Eagles in the common room and went straight to the boy’s bathroom. Those Ravenclaws was acting differently than usual and Arc could actually feel the tension in the air. Unfortunately, his single-minded pursuit had drowned out other inputs his brain was telling him.

Arc finally reached the door to the boy’s bathroom, the book still in hand, covering his whole body and almost half his face, and found that the door was locked. Shit.

Hi, anyone there?” Arc said as calmly as he could muster, knocking the door a tad bit louder than usual. “I really need to use the bathroom, guys.

He swore he could hear voices from inside the bathroom. Arc didn't know what they were up to, but he also swore there was nothing that would stop him from reaching his porcelain bowl. Nothing!

OOC: After attempting to reach out to Thomas, I’ve still not heard from him. With permission, I am going to skip his turn for now so we can hopefully keep this thread active until completion.
Howard stayed kneeled as Erin rose, brushing herself off casually and in a move that made him blink a few times, she approached the window. The undead boy trained his slingshot on her. Howard yearned to hear it snap with release. To watch as the rock pelted Erin between the eyes. To see the blood run down her face as she fell to the floor. Then a new feeling. A flash of anger and envy would tear through the boy. Howard wanted to be the one to be staring down his weapon at her. The one who controlled the situation. His current state of disarm was only fueling his rage. It made him feel weak, vulnerable, like so many times before. Howard squeezed his hands into fist, his teeth grinding as he vowed to never let it happen again.

The Hufflepuff watched as Erin opened the window and leaned out to address the zombie boy. “Let’s...be the bestest of friends. My name is Erin Ryan, you’ve never heard of me. Come in.” Typical Erin bullshit. However, this time it may work in Howard’s benefit. His eyes scanned the room. Her movement towards the window left her back to him and drew the attention of the boy on the broom. He peeked a glance at Thomas, who had gone rather quiet since tripping Howard and seemed content to just lay there and watch. With all other parties temporarily occupied, he scooted back a pace towards the door, hoping his movement would remain undetected. As much as it pained him, there were too many potential threats in the bathroom, and escape may be his only option. Regroup, get Lear, show him what had happened to him and have him get his wand back. Live to fight another day.

Broom boy would slowly enter the window, seemingly captivated with Erin. Howard again dared another scoot towards the door, he was close now, a bit further and he may be able to reach the lock. “Explain.” Broom boy asked of Erin. It was now or never. Time to make a break for it. Unfortunately for him, he did not see the tip of broom boy’s wand emerge from his sleeve.

The door handle would rattle. Shit! Howard froze on the spot again. “Hi. Anyone there?” The voice from the other side asked. “I really need to use the bathroom guys.” Surely the others attention would now be brought his way. There was nothing left to do. Howard sprung into action.

If Howard was not spotted moving toward the door before, he would rise and leap for the door handle. If nothing prevents this from happening (permission granted to stop Howard if you please), he would grab the person from the other side of the door (Arc) and attempt to use them as a human shield (up to you Arc. Howard’s strength stat is much larger than Arc’s, but your call). Pushing them in the direction of Erin and Broom Boy (Kae).

Erin was preoccupied with Kaegen Deathmote, she was going to manipulate the boy to her ends or at the very least set him on the most advenategous path, for her. She was playing a role, wearing a mask and taking part in this masquerade. By choosing how she responded, by looking him in the eye and refusing the back down she was going to take control of this situation and of him, like all the rest. She smiled at him as sweetly as she could as she gave him space to enter.

Kaegen would draw his wand and Erin would cock her head to the side like a curious bird. "How scary," she reflected out loud. Threatening them with a weapon. She would raise her hands, palms facing the hobo with an umbrella. She did not look scared, however, she looked mildly entertained. As she made small lateral steps as if she was circling him, her eyes never leaving him. She would not be able to walk to his rear, there was a wall in the way and he was perched on the sill edge. "All I wanted to do was make new friends," she complained, "and now you're threatening me."

She let her comments set in as she pondered her next move. She chose a lateral position to the boy for a reason, her right shoulder resting against the cool tile wall. "It is dangerous there, a long way to fall. While you might not be concerned about your safety, I am. Get inside." Her tone sharpened as she made that order. This was where the game would start, not cease. "Howard White is very dangerous," she revealed. "I would either hop back on my broom and fly away, or come inside and have your feet on safe, solid ground. If he pushes you now, you might die." Yes, she was making Howard look like the dangerous one, like the sociopath. Her, the reasonable, affable girl trying to keep the sparklepyre on a broom safe.

“Explain.”

Kaegen demanded.

Howard was slinking about on the other side of the room, Thomas was on the floor and she wondered if he was okay. "There is not much to say. Me and Howard..." she shook her head, "don't get along. We used to, met up over the summer, rode the Hogwarts Express together. But..." she let her voice trail off as if she was recalling something painful or hard. "He disappeared, like a bunch of my friends did," a truth oddly enough but the term 'friend' was an incredible stretch, like yoga pants on a middle aged woman at an all you can eat buffet.

She saw him inching towards the door. The hell is he doing? She needed to finish the story quick and get Howard back under control. "He came back suddenly, different... weird... scary. He attacked me in the library, nearly killed me. And here, now... he followed me into the bath I was cleaning, part of the headmaster's punishment for being the projectile that knocked over the shelves in the library," she complained as if she was miffed. "He attacked me," she lied. "I defended myself, restrained him because he is weak-sauce," she lied a second time. She would not have won in a fair fight. "I..." she was hamming this up a bit. "I let Thomas in, not you because you have a scary face." Let him think she is scared of him. That he has an upper hand. "But that does not mean that I-I would not want to be your friend," she tried to sound nervous around him. "B=But, I really am still pretty beat up, and tired..." A half-truth. Moving on. "Thomas is really smart, he would know what to do with him. Maybe how to stop him from acting so crazy. It is like he is someone else," she seemed to confide.

Outside the room someone was pounding on the door. They apparently needed to use the bathroom. "Use the girls room, it is free!" Erin called out.

Unfortunately for Arc, Thomas was making a break for it. Howard would reach up and unlock the door, slide the deadbolt, whatever it took. The door would swing inward, Howard would try to grab hold of the unfortunate boy on the other side. "See--" Erin muttered. "Time to play hero, again." It was an absolute set-up for poor Howard. Depending on how effective his attempt was, what he did with his victim, Howard might become the early campaign villain.

Erin had a plan. Of course she had a plan. In a hostage situation, the hostage is their bartering tool. It is their barrier. It is presumed that ethics would prevent a reaction. That he would get away scott free. Not in Erin's world. You see, you deal with this one of two ways. First  you shoot the hostage and let them go down. A burden to their egress, the hostage will be abandoned. Second, she could allow a loved one to intervene, bring the cash or satisfy their demands, of which Howard has none, in doing so they will make afuss or attack the villain. A distraction.

Erin chose the former. She would "shoot" Arc. Well, push through him. Erin would make a mad dash towards Arc and attempt to deck him if he was being restrained. She was aiming for Howards face but would punch through whatever was in the way. Her knee would also shoot up, the move was dirty... utterly uncalled for. Again, she was after Howard's groin but would go through poor Arc if need be.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

Cleaning is for the Birds Detention abandoned
Arc heard a click before the door suddenly swung open, revealing a taller boy than him, almost a head taller in fact. His grey eyes were pissed off, with a tinge of desperation, and he looked worse for wear. Before Arc could even say thank you, the brown-haired boy grabbed and pulled him inside, looking strained as he did so. Howard might be stronger than the scrawnier boy, but the extra weight of the tome made him harder to move. Arc accepted the pull, though, as he was trying to get in. He would willingly step inside, even without Howard's push.

Thank…” He tried saying.

Unfortunately, before the boy could give his gratitude, again, a weird scene unfolded before him. A girl with purple hair and pale green eyes -pretty cute, if Arc said so himself- madly dashed towards him. Or maybe the door. The world didn’t revolve around him and she was probably just embarrassed that she was in a boy’s bathroom or something. She didn’t seem like a Ravenclaw. Arc would remember if she did. In fact, he was pretty sure that the girl was from Slytherin. So, maybe she got lost in the Ravenclaw common room and ended up in the boy’s bathroom. Yeah, that would be the most likely explanation. But wait. Why and how did a Slytherin came inside the Ravenclaw’s sanctuary in the first place, anyway? Ugh. He didn’t have time for this. His urge to poop was clouding his deductive ability.

But Erin did indeed go for him. An alarm blared on the boy’s head when he saw the determined look on the girl’s eyes. It was not the look of someone embarrassed or running away. It was the look of someone on purpose. And he was that purpose, or whatever behind him and she would not stop for Arc. Fortunately, what the boy lacked in strength, he made up in perception and agility. Arc felt his heart thumped and he could clearly see Erin’s movement, her shift of weight and her arm rearing for a punch. He promptly threw the huge tome he was holding in front him towards Erin. That would block her sight completely as the book was almost half her height. And he would jump to the right, rolling away from the door, keeping himself low towards one of the stalls.

Where he was going to poop. All hell could break loose or it could freeze over, he couldn't care less.

Strength: 2; Agility: 9; Control: 14; Stamina: 5

The girl was acting weird and it was extremely scary, terrifying even. She had her palms towards him as if preparing to give him a shove, or fire a wandless beam spell out of the palms of her hands. He moved his head a bit as she moved, to make sure that her palms were not directly facing his head. If her death spell wasn't anything too bad then he should probably be fine. Assuming that she wasn't just being defensive herself, or something.

She told him that where he was sitting was dangerous, but the boy did not believe her, at all. And he did not respond very well to authority, he had never understood how, had only ever associated harsh tones with force, not with respect. So when she tried to tell him that he was supposed to get inside, he only inched backwards a little more, disconcerted with the harsh tone. Even just that little bit, that little bit symbolized danger. Pain.

She told him that to be safe, his two options were to run away or get solid footing. That made sense. Fight or flight, a decision that decided if you lived or died. But right now, in his scared state, Kaegen was leaning towards flight. He was literally starting to lean backwards out the window, into the freedom that his broom and the open air provided, but wanted to hear her finish talking.

She said that her and the boy used to be friends. But then she said something that made the hair on the back of the Dhampir's neck stand on end. Her friends disappeared? That was something that tended to happen with her friends? And she had asked if he wanted to be one? Really? She had some kind of curse on her that made those allied to her die, or be eaten and then die or some horrible disappearing fate and she was trying to drag him in on it?

For a lot of people, the thought of someone else losing a lot of friends evokes sympathy, or maybe pity. But for Kaegen, friends helped each other in life, and life was war, life was survival. If your friends were disappearing then you were doing something very wrong, you had failed, and those close to you were going to suffer.

She said that the boy had come back weird and scary, that the boy had attacked her. So maybe she was a victim after all, maybe the boy was the problem here and the girl was just trying to make do. The part of her story where she admits to being a projectile. How did you turn yourself into a projectile? A spell similar to fleependo? But as odd as that part of the story was, it was far from integral to the story.

She said she was beat up and tired, and when he looked at the boy, he did not see very much beaten up tired signs. In fact, Kaegen was feeling a strong energy, a ferocious strength. That boy was not tired, he had been temporarily defeated and was very much ready for more. The girl was doomed, she was done for. Her friends were cursed and although she did make it sound as though she was far stronger, that was not the impression he was receiving.

"If your friends disappeared, then the death witches got to them. They get to a lot of the students here, people vanish left and right. They die, they aren't found any more and no one says a word. Or maybe they just pretend to not notice..."

When the girl leaped towards the other two boys, Kaegen decided to leave. The girl was almost certainly doomed to death and he was about to make an amazing exit.

"Although I think you're going to die here. Just like the rest of them."

And with that, he sprung backwards, twisting around to get his broom underneath him, and flying towards the main entrance. He could then enter the castle, and maybe hide somewhere until they were done killing the girl. Or maybe the girl was going to win. She had said that the boy was weak, after all.
Kaegen left the thread, unless somehow prevented.

Howard listened as Erin spun her web of lies. He was close to the door now. All he would have to do was leap for it. The sickly kid may have time to fire off a spell, but he seemed fully involved listening to Erin. Her words infuriated him, as they always did when she blatantly lied. She used words such a “friends”, her wicked tongue spinning a tale that made him out to be the aggressor, the villain. Howard wanted nothing more than to crush the girl. The images of thier interactions in the Hospital wing ripped through his mind. Watching her as she crawled, broken and bloodied on the floor. He standing over her, fully in control. She would meet his fury again, that he promised himself, but for now, he needed his weapon and needed to retreat.

The next few moments would come in a flurry. Howard jumped for the door, throwing the latch and yanking the door open. A smaller, dark haired boy stood before him, his hand still raised in the knocking position. Howard’s eyes would have a frantic look in them, a look that was a mixture of fear, anger and desperation. The Hufflepuff had already been beaten, restrained, and was now very much out numbered. His fury tore through him as he grabbed the wrist of the Ravenclaw before him, yanking hard to pull him through the door way. Holding firm to his wrist, Howard used the boy’s momentum to spin him around and pull him close to his body, his free arm wrapping around the boy’s chest.

Looking over the boy’s head, Howard would see the deathly looking broom boy jump back out of the window and Erin charge forward. She cocked her arm back, ready to strike a blow. He was prepared, ready to sacrifice the innocent Ravenclaw to gain the advantage over her. Howard knew that he could best her in a physical fight. As she closed the gap, he would push the boy forward and make a grab for her. A well laid plan given the intensity of the moment. Howard’s eyes locked with Erin’s. Like two forces of nature they would clash, claw and fight until one stood in victory. He drew his arm back, ready to shove the dark haired boy in the back, pushing him forward.

However, when Howie went to shove, nothing was there. He had underestimated his captive. With swift and fluid movements, the boy chucked the book he was carrying towards Erin and wiggled out of his grasps. Two possible outcomes were possible.

If the book somehow disrupted Erin’s movements, Howard would charge forward and attempt to grab her, immediately going for his wand. If successful, he would push her away and in a swift motion would slash his wand through the air. “Diffindo!”

However, if Erin’s movements were not impeded, her fist would connect with Howard’s mouth. His head would snap backwards, blood lining his gums, turning his teeth red as he grimaced in pain. His hands would instinctively rise to his mouth, leaning forward, the blood would pour through the gaps in his fingers. Her knee would rise up, striking him in the groin. A guttural grunt of pain would escape his lips as he stumbled backwards, falling on his back through the doorway. It would take several seconds for him to recover.

She understood Howard better than he could fathom. His terror and desperation were knotted with desire and longing for power... No, that was the wrong word, he did not want to be powerful, he wanted to dominate. That was what drew Howard to her, not that he would ever admit it. Erin resembled an indomitable force, an aspect of nature. He needed her almost as much as she needed him. Erin was simply toying with him, playing this dangerous game where she made him feel powerless and weak and he would break the in some cases literal fetters and fight back.

He could run, but he wouldn't. That would end the game and his pride would never let him lose, he would not walk away until she was on the ground and she was not going to let him try. The threat of a one Kaegen Deathmote was deferred, he was full of nothing but suspicion, paranoia and fear. He was not going to stand against her, he was the type to run. He would tip backwards, stating something about death witches the only term she would hold onto that the boy uttered. Apparently he knew something. A scared little boy like him would be the work of a novice to extract what she wanted to know at a later time. She would peer out the window, make certain he was gone, only to discover Howard's madcap attempt to leave her company.

"Howard!" Erin roared with an almost inhuman ferocity, it was the Hufflepuff's own wrath being reflected through her. Howard drew a younger Ravenclaw into the room, some scrawny nerd that seemed more astonished and scared than an actual threat. A human shield, he blocked the most direct path to Howard's face so she did what any reasonable sociopath would, she would attempt to fight through him. There would be no apologies as she reared her arm back to strike. The Ravenclaw would throw a book in-between them, her fist undeterred because she was the juggernaut. Her fist impacted the book that Arc had relinquished in an attempt to distract her and to knock her back.

What happens when two opposing forces of significant mass collide?

There was no give when she hit the book, if it weighed about half as much as her it was about 50 pounds or 22.7 kilograms. Her knuckles would scrape the cover, losing a layer of skin. They were bleeding, she could feel the impact rattle her hand and run up her wrist and even her forearm. She was not dumb enough as to tuck her thumb inside her fist when she tried to deck Arc and/or Howard, so there would be no scaphoid fracture but her wrist was strained. Beyond a momentary glint of pain obstructed by the book that would cause her to stagger back as she was impacted the the book's full weight, she remained undeterred. "Fight me you dick!" Erin would kick her leg up, Arc would scurry out of the way and she would strike Howard but not where intended. It would hit him in the hip, she would fling the book aside only to see Howard comply with her demand.

Arc scurried along the wall, out of the direct line of fire. Howard would grab her left wrist, his hand encircling her narrow, pale limb. His other hand would reach her hip and he would snatch her wand. Erin would attempt to wrap her right leg around him and pull him forward, just behind the knees to force him to buckle.

"Diffindo!"

It would not matter if she knocked him down, his free hand would swish and Erin would feel a... tickle. Then heat. Across her midsection, though a razor thin slice in her blouse, a line of red would form. Erin's reaction delayed, her free hand would reach for the wound that traversed her midsection. It was hot and moist, it stung when the wound touched the air. She let out a laugh, pain laced the noise. "How I fucking envy you Howard White," she bleeding hastened. She did not have her wand, but she did not need it. "You are easier than the class whore on prom night," she defied as she watched Arc out of the corner of her eye. A useless witness, his only use will be the fact that Howard would not be able to kill her. However, she had already won this engagement. Howard stepped over a line when he raised his wand against her, when he cut into her rather than flee or knock her back -- both viable options he did not even consider. She would look down at Thomas, "and this is how you fix one such as Howard White." She had set him free, he was not scared but rather high. As if he had plunged the needle into his own vein.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

Cleaning is for the Birds Detention abandoned
The dark-haired boy immediately went inside the stall, closed the door, and downed his pants. The commotion was still happening outside, but duty called, Gondor beckoned. He could hear the girl taunting the boy, but it was just a kid’s scuffle. A bruise here and there and they would be friends again at the end of the day. Good as new.
Diffindo!
Arc heard after only a couple of poops. A moment of silence went by before he could feel his stomach lurched, his heart thumped, and all urge to poop forgotten as realization dawned on him. The boy quickly cleaned after himself, flushed the toilet, and opened the door of the stall.

The brown-haired boy he had bumped on the door before was holding his wand towards the purple-haired girl while she was bleeding right in her midsection. The scrawny kid didn’t want to jump into conclusions. And the girl had even tried to jump on him. But it was clear who was in the wrong here.

What have you done?!” Arc shouted to the taller boy.

The scrawny boy considered taking his wand out and stunned the older boy, but he didn’t. There would be no point for that. It would only escalate stuff. You shouldn’t pour oil into burning flames. And he had to prioritize the wounded first. Arc would try to quickly move to the girl and held her weight as she would start losing power and control of her legs as she lost more and more blood. He would also try to stop the bleeding by giving pressure to her stomach (if she let him).

Are you alright? We need to put pressure on your wound to stop the bleeding.” Arc would ask with genuine concern. “And we need to bring you to medical wing, stat.

The boy then realized that there was another boy sprawling on the floor, staying still. Was he… No, Arc could see his chest going up and down and there was no obvious sign of injury, so, he probably just fainted or something. He would need treatment, as well, though.

You did that, too?” He asked the boy with the wand.
