Minnie nodded, feeling the chill of the water starting to come in. "Thanks for understanding guys." She told them, feeling tremendously grateful. "You're definitely great friends." She added. She started to stand up, getting ready to grab her slippers. Then she had a thought. "What if we meet here to do something fun and dry? I'm cold, but I do want to keep hanging out with you, but in normal clothes."

Minnie looked at her two new friends, feeling hopeful and not awkward, like usual. This must be what it feels like for most people. I'm just lucky enough to have friends that bring that part of me out for me. It seems strange, but I like it. She put on her flip flops and waited for her friends to join her. Today had turned out better than she could have ever imagined.

"But it's a bit cold right now, so I don't mind if you don't want to." She didn't want to put any pressure on them. "It just might be fun to be together again, but I really don't mind if you don't want to." She realized she was babbling, and shut her mouth. No need for them to know how strange she was.

She remembered Kaitlyn's request to hug her. "Oh, Kaitlyn, you can hug me. Thanks for asking, It's nice to see that you care." She scooted closer to the girl, inviting her to hug her. It was perfect just now, the three of them together. She knew that. It might change a bit later, but now, it was perfect and fine. She looked around, feeling serene and calm. It must be the water.

Minnie tried to keep the picture in her head to draw later. Then she thought about the items in her bag. Oh! I can draw it now with the sketchbook in my bag! She quickly dug it out. "It's a sketchbook I have. I'm going to draw the scene here. Or...I'll try to at least." She explained to her friends.

She started out drawing the lake, making the ripples and swirls. She then drew all the people including herself and her friends. She drew out the whole scene, focusing on the reality of it. It turned out to be pretty good for a black and white picture she drew. She smiled to herself and realized she had completely tuned out her friends. That made her blush and bite her lip nervously.

"Sorry, I zoned out. I just wanted to draw this so that I remember it forever. Gaa. That came out weird. Just um...sorry." She blushed a little harder. Start talking better Minnie! She growled at herself. Minnie looked away from them, not wanting them to see her red face. If only I could talk to them. But I can't, so I just have to try to put that incident behind. Wait for them to talk, okay. Great. She turned back to the other girls when she felt her face turn less red. What are they thinking about me?

I don't break the rules, I expand them for my need.

Kaitlyn flushed lightly at Tracey’s words. Was she being too obvious? Sure the ability looked nice and everything, and she thought it was cool that she was friends with two girls that could change their appearance so effortlessly. More than anything, she was happy that they were unique, and her friends for that matter. “Thanks. I’m not jealous, I’m just happy to have two unique friends. I think this is cool,” she responded with a genuine smile.

“I’d like that,” Katie agreed with Tracey. She watched her toes skim the water more, as Tracey spoke to Minnie about what she had said. While she couldn’t relate to the ability her two friends shared, she nodded her head in agreement. It must have been hard for both of them. She couldn’t help but to giggle when Tracey mentioned being a trio. She never heard that one before. “A trio? Ooh, that sounds lovely,” she smiled in agreement.

Kaitlyn smiled at Minnie’s idea. “I’d like that. We’ll likely catch a cold sitting out here like this for too long. It'll help to warm us up.” she noted. As nice as it would be to spend more time with both girls, they wouldn’t enjoy it if they all became sick. “Let me go get my stuff,” she announced.

With a bright smile to her friends, Kaitlyn bounced up and walked over to where she left her belongings. She slid her feet back into her flip-flops. She tossed the towel around her frame and pulled on her peacoat. Turning on her heel, she bounded back over to her friends, a smile on her face.

Kaitlyn giggled at Minnie’s words. “We’d love to hang out again. I know for a fact that I want to hang out with both of you again,” she responded, clearly, wanting to articulate the joy the two girls gave her.

A flush graced Kaitlyn’s cheeks when Minnie approved of the hug. She smiled brightly. “Thanks. I just want you to be happy,” she giggled. Spreading her arms wide, she leaned into the hug. She could feel her heart beat slightly faster, likely due to her anxiety. She recalled the last time she was this close to Minnie when they were dancing together. She didn’t overstay her welcome, timing the hug for just the right amount of time before it started to feel too long. At that moment, she pulled out from the hug, the smile still on her face.

Katie’s eyes lit up when she saw Minnie take out her sketchpad, growing wide in the process. “You brought your sketchpad out here? I wish I brought mine, this is an awesome scene,” she agreed with a giggle.

As Minnie worked, Katie glanced down at her toes. She could feel the cold air now more, after they were out of the water. But, she didn’t mind too much, since she was with her friends. She looked over at Tracey, then at Minnie. She was happy to call them friends. They treated her so well.

When Minnie realized that she had started drawing with them all still there, Kaitlyn giggled, giving her a bright smile. “I don’t mind. I’m the type that does that all the time,” she reassured her. As much as she wanted to look at Minnie’s drawing, she didn’t want to crowd her friend, either. She’d let Minnie decide when to share it. If at all. “You don’t need to ever apologize to me for drawing. I’m happy you found some inspiration. Whenever you want to draw, I honestly won’t mind. I may even join you, if I have my sketchpad,” she smiled.

At her words, Tracey saw Kaitlyn lightly blush, but didn't say anything about it. She had a feeling Kaitlyn thought she was being to obvious, but then again, she kinda was, and Tracey had somehow read that. When she heard her friends reply, she smiled at her then said,
"Aw, your so sweet, Kaitlyn! If you do have an ability, what d'you think it is? Honestly, I feel like I have two abilities'. But I'm not sure why,"
Tracey's way of thinking, was completely different from others' way of thinking. She actually wasn't sure if she was like a character from a muggle or wizarding book, since she doesn't tend to read, but then again, maybe she'd find that out one day. But, Tracey was also true about her stating that she could have two abilities. One, a metamorphmagus, and the other one, well, she didn't know yet.
"I've never been in a trio before, but if you two like the idea, we could hang out a lot together, oh and also send owls to each other!" Tracey said about her trio idea.
Tracey knew that trio's formed and also friend groups, but Tracey hadn't been in any before, since she didn't really make a ton of friends at the muggle school she went to. When she heard Minnie speak, Tracey nodded her head then heard Kaitlyn reply to that, Tracey really didn't want to get sick, so she got out of the water and wrapped the towel that she had brought with her around herself then said,
"I'd love to come back here after getting dry! I definitely don't want to get sick, that won't be fun at all,"
Tracey then slipped her feet into her slippers and saw Kaitlyn go to get her stuff. Tracey looked through her bag and found her cloak, then put in on so she wouldn't get cold.
"Honestly, if I could, I'd hangout with you two 24/7, but sadly, that can't happen," Tracey says.
She really loves the company she's getting from the two girls and is really happy that she had met them and became friends with them. She also knows that the three of them would make a great team. She then saw Kaitlyn hug Minnie and then pulled away, breaking the hug. A smile formed onto Tracey's face. Tracey gasped and immediately began digging through her bag again, but alas, she had forgotten her sketchpad.
"Aw, man! I forgot mine too! Wow, that's an amazing drawing, Minnie! Your really talented!" Tracey says.
When she had saw Minnie's drawing of the lake and everyone around them, including themselves, Tracey gasped, and her jaw dropped. The picture was truly a work of art, and if it was in a art sale, she'd buy it no matter what the price was, but of course she's not gonna buy that picture from her friend, that'd just be rude.
"Hehe, it's ok Minnie! Sometimes I do that too! But then again, I'm not that good at drawing. The three of us should draw together sometime! Oh, I'm also sorry for looking at your picture without permission," Tracey said.

Kyle looked quizzically at the girl as she gave a small explanation of what happened at the Winter Ball. He had pondered on why Astra's friend would pull her away from him, her answers didn't really reveal more but he didn't care too much to drill her on it. It was also interesting to learn the sqwuaking girl @Renelle Dalton was friends with her.

Although the Slytherin said everything was fine Kyle knew for sure that wasn't the case... It was quite obvious her whole demeanor seemed worn out unlike how he usually saw her. Even her voice screamed "IM TIRED!"

"I'm good. Are you sure everything is okay Signora Miss? To not be rude but you sound.... Stanco tired or how do you say?..... WORN OUT."

Once Kyle asked about the rock and whether she had finished writing, she looked rather confused, it took a moment for her to realize what he was talking about and admit she hadn't been listening which made Kyle laugh a little and shrug. He understood the feeling quite well as he often didn't listen to instructions, or frankly anything in general.

Kyle hadn't really noticed the significant heigh difference between them until the red-headed stood up.
"Oh," Kyle exclaimed barely audible. "Sei molto più piccolo di me? You're so much smaller than me?"

Kyle was use to being the smallest next to Luna in his family due to being the youngest in age, so it was always interesting to him when people were shorter than him. He probably shouldn't say much because you never know when someone will suddenly sprout up like a weed... But still...

Kyle watched quietly and attentively as Astra grabbed a marker and began scribbling away at the a smooth rock she had picked out. He squinted and could only make out "AVERY."

"Who's Avery?" Kyle asked under his breath, he would be sure to ask her later as Astra started to talk again looking at him with a small smile.

"I think I'm ready, Signore. Ready to finally try a winter swim." Her smile grew. "Like when we met, aye?"

Kyle smiled at what she said.

"Grande! Great! You'll love it," Kyle gave a little laugh. "Si, yes, just like when we met..." He paused. "AYE!" He exclaimed more like a question than a statement. Before making his way to the lake, as always he dipped his foot into the water to check the temperature.

"Freddo! Cool! Just as it should be!" He smiled before he took a few steps back before running forward to jump into the icy cold lake, he absolutely loved polar plunging. What people would percieve as like stabbing knives, Kyle thought of, like a reptile, cooling off and getting rid of the excess stress and heat, it felt amazing, cold of course, but amazing! It reminded him much of his family's home in Italy.... How he missed it dearly.

Kyle opened his eyes to see the endless black of the winter lake, he could rocks dropping knowing well that students were the cause. Just like a wishing well, this lake held dreams, hopes, and wishes of thousands of students.... Kyle watched the bubbles as he released some of his breath to create a small circle of air and watched as it quickly disappeared, he took one last look at the rock before letting I slip from his hands and fall gracefully until it was no longer visible, only then did he resurface... It was crazy to believe that he had only been under for a few moments... He went back to shore and awaited and looked for Astra once again as he warmed up with given slippers...

Kim trudged forward, the freezing water trying to hold him back. But the dark haired fourteen year old persevered until he managed to reach the shoreline. Taking the pro-offered towel from the caretaker, Kim wrapped it around himself. It was then that he saw @Bailey Glade emerge from the water, heading towards him. The girl looked like she was freezing, her body shivering with each step, and Kim couldn't help but feel a bit of concern towards her. Despite his current depression, Kim still cared about her, even if he wouldn't say those words out loud to anyone. Or even admit it to himself....

When it came to her safety and physical health, Kim couldn't help but react sometimes. He leaned down and picked up his wand, going over to the caretaker to pick up another towel. As Bailey drew closer to him, Kim placed the dry towel over her back and draped it around her shoulders. He didn't say a single word and then pointed his wand at Bailey's wet clothes. "Aer Calidus!" Kim incanted as his wand traced a gentle and loose swirl in the air. A gust of warm air burst from the end of his wand and quickly dried off the clothes. Kim regarded Bailey for a moment and then inclined his head a little.

No words were spoken and Kim headed off, after dressing himself up again, taking his leave of the waters, the errand and everything else. There was nothing more to do in this place.

Siobhan Speaking: #556b2f
Siobhan Thinking: #99b39c
Interacting with: @Dean Saunders
Siobhan's face broke out into a small smile as Dean mentioned how cold the waters were. She thought that would be a good idea considering that they had been swimming in the very cold waters of the Great Lake in the middle of January. Even her wet suit wouldn't be keepin her warm for much longer and she could feel her toes beginning to go somewhat numb. However it was wonderful to see Dean again. They so rarely got to hang out after classes due to their conflicting houses. Him being in Hufflepuff house and her own being Gryffindor. Truthfully she had expected that she would also be in Hufflepuff but she had an inkling that soon she would be discovering exactly why she had been placed in Gyrffindor.

"It was definetly a shock to my family. They did find it somewhat difficult to send him back but they eventually figured it out. He truly does like treats... I think my family fed him a whole box of bird treats." Siobhan said whimsically. She found that bird to be quite amusing and she hoped that it was doing well in the owlery. She needed to send a new letter to her family soon.

"School has been quite alright. I've been particularly excelling in Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I didn't know that I was so adept at defensive spell work but I quite enjoy it. Have you found any classes you're particularly fond of?" She asked with an inquisitive look on her face. She'd hoped that perhaps if Dean had a different subject he was good in, that maybe he could help her out. Specifically with Transfiguration. She was having some difficulties with the magical property aspect of the curriculum.

"Oh! And I have to give you some of my home grown blackberries. My mama just sent me a care parcel and she and my sisters picked some of my blackberries from my orchard. Do you like berries?" she asked as she continued to tread water. She was actually beginning to tire and she was now very cold. Maybe it was time to take him up on his Hot Chocolate offer.

"I would like that Dean. Hot cocoa sounds lovely." she mused lightly before dipping down under the water one more time to say goodbye to the aquatic plants. She hoped that soon she would be able to come back and explore more of their potential magical properties. She could still see some of the rocks that the students had released floating down to the seemingly bottomless lake. And- was that the flash of a fin? A fish fin or a mermaid fin? She hoped it was a mermaid... They seemed so beautiful in her textbooks.

When she popped back up she saw Dean was still waiting for her.

"Shall we race? Last one there has to get the cocoa for both of us." She offered with a playful smile. She was sure Dean would take her up on her offer but she wanted to offer it anyway. She could see all the other students had practically exited the lake and she didn't want to get in trouble with the care taker from still being in the water.

As a soaked Aly drudged out of the lake and onto the rocky shore, water sluicing off of her now-soaked clothes and droplets dripping from some of the tips of her brown curls that had gotten somewhat submerged even though her shoulders and head had stayed firmly above the rippling surface of the lake, she did feel an overwhelming sense of relief. Maybe it was a sort of placebo effect, but letting that rock into the lake, letting herself laugh like no one was watching... that had done something to the young Ravenclaw, even if she didn't know what yet.

Then, a voice passing by: "Whatever you let go of must have been very heavy, if it made you laugh so sweetly."

Oops. Apparently someone had been watching.

Aly whipped around, not quite hit by the cold yet, and rather, warmed by her embarrassment. Someone had been listening to her laugh - but then the full meaning of the words sunk in, and she flushed, though if it was still with embarrassment or not even Aly herself did not entirely know. So sweetly. That in and of itself was sweet, and Aly's green gaze sought out the owner of the voice as it passed.

It was a girl, of whom Aly just caught a glimpse - her side profile as she passed. Paler than Aly herself, which was a feat. A jawline, cheekbones, and a nose that somehow both sharply cut through the chilled air and yet also seemed soft, as if they would be the kindest to touch, the silkiest skin in existence. Dark brown hair, nearly black, wreathed and floated around a tender, rose-coloured smile, framing a face that was nothing short of ethereal.

No longer lodged in her chest, but rather having jumped headlong into her throat, Aly's heart quickened - not that she was aware of it, as for that moment, there was nothing more in the world than the most beautiful girl she had ever seen. Any doubts she'd been having over the past year or so left her mind immediately, smothered by the passing student, who looked to be maybe a year or two older and quite a few inches taller than Aly herself. Suddenly, the teenage Ravenclaw - 5'1" and dwarfed by sopping wet clothes - felt very small and very self-aware, as if she could never be as elegant as the girl who swanned by her to the lapping edge of the lakeshore and promptly dropped the robe she had been draped in to reveal nothing but a slender figure and a swimsuit underneath.

Aly turned the colour of a tomato and immediately averted her eyes, crouching to pick up the white puffer jacket and turquoise scarf that she had abandoned on the pebbly shore earlier. Oh, Merlin. All of a sudden, she needed nothing more than to get out of here, but something stopped her before she could walk too far away; Aly paused and looked back just as the girl sprinted headlong into the icy water, vanishing underneath with nary a ripple on the surface, as if she had never been there at all.

Had Aly imagined her in her entirety? Or was this fate nudging the curly-haired teenager gently along, whispering, The only way to let go of your past is to look forward into your future?

Either way, Aly wrapped her coat tighter around herself, turning away from the lake to shiver on her journey back into the indoor warmth of the castle. If the girl had been a hallucination, what an unearthly image she had been. But if she had been real, Aly was going to figure out her name.
