║ Minnie smiled as she got up from bed, still happy about what she had done two days ago. That dungbomb did so much damage! She thought, extremely pleased with herself. I just have to tell somebody! She decided. But who? Then she thought of the one person who she knew wouldn't rat her out: Kaitlyn. She was her maybe crush? and good friend. Minnie didn't know what she would do without her.
As she walked to the class, she realized that Kaitlyn was in it! She could tell her after class was over! Barely able to contain herself, she smiled even brighter, a rarity for Transfiguration class, and skipped to her seat.
All during class, she kept drawing her epic prank and zoning out, barely paying attention. "Um...maybe it's a transformation?" Minnie answered when asked by the Professor. Then she went back to zoning out again.
After class, she grabbed Kaitlyn and told her she had some news. "So...that stink on valentines day? Two days ago?" She barely waited before answering. "I did it!" She squealed quietly. "I used the spare dungbomb and exploding bon bons I had to do it!" Then she realized how...mean that sounded. "I mean...he was very rude to me first, and...you won't tell, will you?"║

Thoughts: italicsKaitlyn was slowly coming to terms with the fact that she likely had a crush on Minnie. This class was Transfiguration, and she knew Minnie was in it with her … not that she minded, of course. She rather enjoyed the Hufflepuff’s company. And, she already volunteered to offer her help to Minnie, if it was ever needed. She was not about to betray a friend … especially Minnie. Not even because of her crush, but because she remembered how Minnie told Kaitlyn about her trouble-making ways in confidence.
Regardless, Kaitlyn did not want to spend all class staring at her friend. She did her best to pay attention and dive head-first into her notes. Her script handwriting was currently slightly messy but still plenty legible. ‘Eh, I’ll be revising it at least three times anyway,’ she thought. Thankfully, the class was dismissed after a bit.
As she was getting ready to leave, Minnie approached her. A bright smile danced on Kaitlyn’s lips. She let her friend speak, allowing her to say everything she wanted to first. She remembered that incident. It had been Valentine’s Day, and she was feeling kind of down. Not from the lack of a date. But because her awesome friend group had a Valentine’s Day tradition … for three years now. It was essentially a girl’s day idea. They painted each other’s nails, styled their hair, dressed all fancy, went to a movie together at a nearby theater, went to eat out together, and finally, they visited this cute bakery on the way back to the boarding school. It was the only bakery around the four girls who were into baking actually tolerated. And now ... well ... she had friends, and a few best friends. But she also didn't want to bother them on Valentine's Day. She felt awkward inviting them on muggle traditions.
Once her friend … crush …. finished, Kaitlyn waited two beats before answering. “Hi, Minnie! That was you? It was rather impressive that it got as bad as it did. You chose a good combination. It was enough to make me feel not as lonely,” she observed quietly. She kind of wanted to ask what the dung bombs looked like but figured that was not a good idea at the moment. “I’m sorry that happened. I’m not about to betray a friend … your secret is safe with me,” she responded quietly.Reducio
