As Kaitlyn saw Lumine begin to write again, her blue eyes sparkled as she saw what the Ravenclaw was writing to her. While Lumine was writing, instead of talking, Kaitlyn understood to still actively listen (or, in this case, actively read). The smile never left her face, as her eyes danced between the words. Written in Lumine’s nice handwriting. ‘I shouldn’t be surprised she’s a pureblood, as she did mention to me that she is concerned about how other people view her,’ she thought.

Once Kailtyn established that Lumine was finished writing, she waited for two extra beats before finally responding. “I like it that you’re asking. I’d love to learn about each other,” she replied, giving her friend a bright smile. “Sadly, we’re a bit different in these regards. I’m a muggle-born. I have a twin sister named Abigail. She also comes here to Hogwarts. I have a younger brother, named Timothy, who will eventually come to Hogwarts in two years,” she answered everything Lumine had asked of her, so far.

Kaitlyn’s eyes sparkled again at Lumine’s last words. “Don’t feel like you need to apologize to me … and I will never get tired of reading your messages or hearing you speak. Take as long as you need, trust me, I’ll wait. I promise,” she whispered to Lumine. “Now, if you don’t mind me asking, how is your relationship with Nico? I’m close to Abby. And both of us get along well with Tim,” she continued, as she pulled away.

As Lumine finished writing and looked up at Kaitlyn, she could see the warmth and kindness in her friend's eyes. Lumine was comforted by Kaitlyn's attentiveness and the way she listened with such patience.

Listening to Kaitlyn's response, Lumine felt a sense of appreciation for her friend's openness and honesty. Learning about Kaitlyn's family and background made Lumine feel more safe with her, understanding more about the person behind the bright smile and kind eyes. Lumine admired Kaitlyn's willingness to share, and she felt grateful to have such a supportive friend by her side.

At Kaitlyn's reassurance that she would always be there to listen, Lumine felt a wave of relief wash over her. She was grateful to have someone like Kaitlyn in her life, someone who accepted her for who she was and was willing to wait for her to open up at her own pace.

When Kaitlyn asked about her relationship with Nico, Lumine felt a wave of happiness and just pure love. She adored her brother, Nico and didn't even bother to hesitate writing in a perfect, cursive font- but it was still neat, Nico is absolutely the best brother, my best friend, to me in my opinion. Timothy sounds sweet too. I love Nico- I'll do everything for him. Well... Nico is my younger brother, he'll be attending a magical school in two years as well. I hope he goes to Hogwarts so I could spend even more time with him, and he'll hopefully be friends with Timothy when he gets his letter.

I've never met Abigail before, what's she's like? Lumine asked, Is she in Slytherin too?

As Lumine listened to Kaitlyn's comforting words, she fashed a stronger and more friendly smile.

Kaitlyn smiled, as she waited for Lumine to finish writing. She observed the Ravenclaw’s handwriting. Perfect, neat cursive. ‘I like her handwriting, it looks similar to mine,’ she thought. She smiled, as her eyes jumped through Lumine’s written words. She could tell that Lumine loved her brother, which was always a good thing, at least in her opinion.

Once Lumine was finished writing, Kaitlyn again waited two beats before responding. “Nico sounds lovely. Knowing Timothy, he’d get along with Nico, if Nico does come here,” she confirmed with a giggle. “May I ask? Where is Durmstrang? Why would Nico go there, instead of here?” she asked, curious as ever.

“Abby and I are identical twins. She looks like me … although with a different hairstyle. As much as we’d prefer to be together, she was sorted to be a Hufflepuff. We pretty much share roughly the same personality. She prefers to paint, while I prefer to draw. She practices gymnastics while I dance. She prefers mystery and romance novels, while I prefer science fiction and fantasy,” she rattled off. “But, we share a love of baking and learning, we practice yoga together sometimes, and we meditate. We run together,” she responded.

Kaitlyn's thoughtful observation of Lumine's words brought a shy smile to Lumine's lips. She felt a sense of connection with Kaitlyn through this small detail, appreciating the similarities in their different lives. As Kaitlyn read her words, Lumine felt a deep sense of confidence, grateful for the opportunity to express herself in a way that felt secure to her.

Once Lumine had finished writing, she watched as Kaitlyn waited patiently, allowing the words to sink in before responding. Lumine was ecstatic as she listened to Kaitlyn talk about her siblings, recognizing the love and bond that they shared. The mention of Nico brought a soft smile to Lumine's face, knowing the connection she had with her own brother.

As Kaitlyn inquired about Durmstrang and Nico's choice to attend the school, Lumine hesitated for a moment before writing a response. She carefully wrote her words, hoping to convey her thoughts clearly. "Durmstrang is a respectable wizarding school located in Northern Europe. Nico wants to attend Durmstrang for its strong academic program and emphasis on magical prowess. He wanted to challenge himself and explore new opportunities, but he also doesn't mind Hogwarts."

Listening to Kaitlyn talk about her twin sister, Lumine felt a sense of admiration for their close relationship. Despite their differences, Lumine could see the strong bond they shared through their shared interests and activities. She smiled softly, feeling a sense of warmth in her heart as she realized the beauty of sibling connections. Lumine was even more interested now, before realizing she never actually reaaly knew what non-magical muggle does, I would like to know more about your parents, if that okay with you.

As Lumine continued to write her responses, Kaitlyn’s eyes followed along at her amazing penmanship. She hands instinctively began to braid a few stray strands of her hair. Normally, this was a sign that she was nervous. Surprisingly, she wasn’t feeling nervous with Lumine. Quite the opposite, actually. She was enjoying herself. But, she did feel a little awkward. Here Lumine was, writing out her responses, and she had no idea what to do with her hands. While her hair was already partially braided, she still continued to braid the strands, wondering just how it would look.

Despite playing with her hair, Kaitlyn continued to actively read Lumine’s words. She waited another two beats, once her friend was finished, before she responded. “Durmstrang sounds interesting. I never knew before about any other magical schools, or that you would even have a choice. Then again, I only just learned about magic a little before we came here,” she shrugged. “But, I feel his need for a challenge. I’d like to challenge myself here, too. But, I think I’d feel more confident, once I get my footing here,” she continued.

Kaitlyn giggled quietly. “My parents are muggles. I doubt you’ll find them interesting, but my mum is a professor at University of London. She teaches math … really high end math, next to no actual numbers. My dad is an electrical engineer. So, he works with electrical connections, which are what muggles use to power different machines and appliances. If you’re curious, math was one of my favorite classes at the muggle boarding school Abby and I attended. And I was on track to join an engineering club at the school,” she admitted, sadly. “What do your parents do?”

Lumine's eyes shimmered as she learned more about Kaitlyn's parents, curious about what an electrician does. She continued to write, "My parents are both very busy, we've come from long lines of magical heritage. My father is a wizard who works in the Ministry of Magic, specializing in Magical Law Enforcement. My mother is a healer, as you might've already figured out from my statement about Beauxbatons, working at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. They honestly both are too serious about their job, my father more though."

Lumine continued to write in her neat, precise handwriting, her baby blue eyes focused on her nearly-full notebook. She listened intently to Kaitlyn's words, absorbing the information and processing it in her mind. "Durmstrang is a really unique place, it's mostly an overly masculine school so I wouldn't go there. There's also a school called Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, which I believe, is an overly feminine school. My mother wanted me to go there to learn more about healing magic."

Lumine paused for a moment, thinking about Kaitlyn's upbringing in the muggle world and her own pure-blood heritage. She couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity and respect for her friend's different background. Writing once more, she added, "It is fascinating to hear about your parents' professions in the muggle world. It must be an interesting perspective to have grown up with both magical and non-magical influences. Thank you for sharing with me, Kaitlyn." Lumine paused for a moment to look at the potion, then started writing again, "The potion is nearly finished boiling."

Kaitlyn nodded to Lumine’s words. She smiled brightly, as she saw her friend write more and more on her writing pad. ‘I’m happy she’s opening up to me. I find Lumine to be interesting, and I’m glad she trusts me enough to respond to me,’ she thought. Just as before, she stayed quiet with her active reading. She enjoyed watching the precise strokes Lumine took to write in perfect penmanship. ‘I wonder if my strokes look like that. Hers looks so pretty. One day … when we’re not trying to brew a potion, I’d like to compare our writing styles.’

As Lumine wrote about her parents, Kaitlyn’s eyes sparkled at the mention of ‘healer,’ ‘St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries,’ ‘Beauxbatons Academy of Magic’ …. ‘healing magic.’

Once Lumine was finished, the ever polite Kaitlyn waited two beats before responding. “Your parents sound lovely. I know you said they were busy, but still. And, um, what? Healing magic? That sounds intriguing. I would love to hear more about it, when you have the time. Sitting near a brewing potion may not be the best time for that, but I’d like to hear about it eventually. I feel like I’d fit in with Beauxbaton’s Academy … I’d love to learn more about healing magic. And I thank you, Lumine for letting me share and talking to me,” she replied with a bright smile.

“Oh yes, the potion,” Kaitlyn nodded. “Next is two measures of Horklump juice,” she read from her book. “Would you like to do the honors? I’ll handle the Flobberworm mucus next,” she responded. She loved touching the mucus, as weird as that sounded.

Lumine sat quietly, her hands trembling slightly as she listened to Kaitlyn speak. She could feel her heart slow down a bit as focus on the conversation at hand. She appreciated Kaitlyn’s patience and kindness towards her, making her feel a bit more at ease despite her strangeness. Lumine also noticed Kaitlyn's beautiful writing font, and noticed how similar it looks to her own font. Lumine hopes to talk to Kaitlyn outside of potion class, and maybe outside of Hogwarts as well.

When Kaitlyn expressed interest in healing magic and Beauxbatons Academy, Lumine's eyes glimmered. She never expected someone to be interested in her interest in healing magic, let alone someone as sweet as Kaitlyn. She quickly wrote in her notebook, "I honestly wouldn't mind Beauxbatons, I'd feel a little uncomfortable being in an all-girl school, but I'm sure most of the girls in there are sweet. I would love to talk more about healing magic with you. It's something that I'm very intrigued about. Thank you for listening to me ramble. And your parents sound interesting too!"

As Kaitlyn mentioned the next steps in brewing the potion, Lumine hesitated for a moment before nodding quickly. She carefully measured out 2 measures of Horklump juice, her hands steady as she gently poured the Horklump Juice into the cauldron. 'Now the Flobberworm Mucus..." She thought.

OOC: Awe that's so cute, Lumine is demisexual which means that she's only romantically attracted to people of all genders. The thing that differs demisexuality from pansexuality is that demisexual people only feel romantic attraction to people close to them

Kaitlyn smiled pleasantly to Lumine as the Ravenclaw continued to write. She waited a bit for her friend to finish, noticing a slowing of her words now. Still waiting for her two beats, she eventually responded. “Living with all girls isn’t for everyone. As you can guess, not everyone gets along with the others. But, I rather enjoyed it. Aw, I don’t consider a conversation with you to be rambling. I’d call it enlightening. I’ve wanted to learn more about you, too,” she smiled. “Believe it or not, but I do like to help others. And I’d guess healing magic helps with that? I’d like to learn more,” she confirmed.

As Lumine added the Horklump juice, Kaitlyn gave her an encouraging smile. “Then let it cook at medium for ten seconds,” she recited, adjusting the temperature for ten seconds, counting down the time. “Then add the Flobberworm Mucus,” she continued. With her bare hands, she picked up the mucus, giggling as she did so. ‘Merlin, I need some of this stuff to play with,’ she thought. Then, she added it to the cauldron. “And stir four times, clockwise,” she recited, stirring their potion clockwise, counting all four stirs out loud. "One ... two ... three ... four."

Lumine observed Kaitlyn with fascination as she followed the instructions for the healing potion. She couldn't help but feel a mixture of admiration and amusement towards her friend's enthusiasm for potion making. As Kaitlyn mentioned wanting to learn more about healing magic, Lumine quickly jotted down a few tips in her nearly full notebook.

She wrote in a flowing script, "Healing magic requires precision and focus. Visualize the desired outcome clearly in your mind before casting the spell. It's important to channel positive energy and intent while performing healing magic. Remember to stay calm and composed, as emotions can affect the effectiveness of the spell. Understanding the balance of energy is key in healing magic spells. Just as in the physical world, there must be a harmonious flow of energy to facilitate healing. It's important to ground yourself before casting a healing spell, connecting with the earth and drawing on its stabilizing energy," Wrote Lumine in her notebook, her hand moving skillfully across the page.

She continued, "Intention is everything when it comes to healing magic. Your intent should be pure and focused on the well-being of the injured person. Visualize the person or creature you wish to heal bathed in a warm, golden light, radiating health and energy. This visualization can increase the power of your spell and aid in directing the healing energy where it is needed most Lumine stared down on her now completely full notebook as she felt hidden surprise that her notebook was full so quickly.

As Kaitlyn picked up the Flobberworm mucus with her bare hands, Lumine couldn't help but cringe very slightly. She made a mental note to remind Kaitlyn about the importance of using proper tools and precautions while handling magical ingredients. Despite the unorthodox method, Lumine couldn't deny that Kaitlyn's enthusiasm was catching.

Watching Kaitlyn stir the potion diligently, Lumine smiled softly as their potion was being completed. 'Now to wave a wand to complete the potion' She thought.
