Millie had never before felt this type of terror. It was new. Maybe different from her normal anxiety, but something closer to a panic attack, if there was really something for Millie to differentiate.

But something new was happening to the Gryffindor. She wasn't able to breathe, everything was hard, and it felt like something, if not everything, was difficult. Tears had been hidden from falling.

When Millie felt Min-seo  kneel next to her, it only made Millie get more panicked. It made Millie only think that the Slytherin girl wanted to get her. To hurt her. The thought that someone would hex someone else because they were weak, or for information, or because it was a power-pleasure, Millie didn't care, but the thought was terrifying. Everything about being weak in the sign of an oppressor was scary.

But Min-seo didn't seem aggressive, and it made Millie calm down slightly. But the thought of her dead grandmother, still haunted her brain. The image of her old, native American grandmother rocking in her wooden chair, beads in her grey hair, flashed in Millie's brain. It was almost as scary as the thought of being rushed on, by an attacker. By someone she thought that she could make amends with.

"Hey, are you okay?"

Millie bit her lip, trying to form words, yet it seemed her throat refused to work. Everything about her body was shutting down, and Millie couldn't reignite the fuse.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, just- tired."

Min-seo sighed and put her arm around the other girl’s shoulder, bracing for it to be pushed off. She had gone through something similar like this before, with her friend Rowan, who was coincidentally a Gryffindor as well (and he didn’t care about stereotypes). He had forgotten to tell her about his accident that put him in a wheelchair, and he seemed to break down. Min-seo saw that the other girl was having difficulty breathing. ”I know you hate me and all, but I think you should breathe deep breaths. Try to concentrate on something else besides the thing you’re thinking about. You’re in the present, not the past,” she said. The girl probably hates her, but she did want to help. That was just one measly interaction and she caught Min on one of her bad days. The girl said she was fine. Min shook her head. ”You’re definitely not fine. I think that I should know you’re name now that you know mine, although I don’t know how you know it to begin with. May I ask what yours is?” she said. The sentence probably didn’t make any sense, but Min couldn’t focus on that at the moment, she just wanted to make sure she was okay.

”I know you hate me and all, but I think you should breathe deep breaths. Try to concentrate on something else besides the thing you’re thinking about. You’re in the present, not the past,”

Millie nodded and breathed a, 'yeah.' Though it was difficult, she had managed to calm her breathing. Her lungs closed, and opened. Like a fire-breathing dragon. Taking in a deep breath before plunging into eternal flames. Though, the flames weren't eternal, and the oxygen Millie breathed in wasn't, either.

But breathing like a fire-breathing dragon was not something Millie was not used to, or- not that she knew of. What if all this time, her past memories of her grandmother had been luring her in, and then slowly transforming her into a fire-breathing dragon? And then it sparked the question of what type of dragon Millie would be? Maybe a pretty black dragon with violet eyes, and it breathed bright fire that turned anything into ashes.

Maybe.

”You’re definitely not fine. I think that I should know you’re name now that you know mine, although I don’t know how you know it to begin with. May I ask what yours is?”

Millie froze. She had completely forgotten that she was crying, having a panic attack, at the Great Lake, with some Slytherin girl who was her enemy, comforting her.

"My name-" She tugged at her hair, "Is Euphrasia, but I prefer Millie. And, I know your name because you're quite popular. I just had to ask."

Min-seo nodded slowly as the girl took deep breaths. ”That’s good, perfect, keep doing that,” she said softly, arm still around her. The girl seemed to calm as she began to breathe. Min-seo seemed to get in these situations way too often. People seemed to just break down in front of her. She hadn’t really thought about it before this, and it was weird to think about. She fidgeted with the hem of her skirt, it was just a habit. She looked at the girl. She never really thought of her as an enemy, just she was uneasy about her. She did yell at her when she asked politely for her to be a bit more quiet in the library. she tilted her head. The girl’s name was Millie. Not a bad name, it suited her. ”You have a nice name, and me, popular? I wouldn’t call myself popular,” she said with a smile. Min-seo, popular? That couldn’t be. Min-seo couldn’t be popular. She just didn’t seem the type. How did people know her name? Her brother? Her brother was pretty popular. He talked about her quite a bit, bragging about his little sister. That was probably the reason, right? It had to be.

Millie continued letting her lungs expand and deflate. Taking in Oxygen swiftly and removing Carbon Dioxide even quicker. It should've been a nice snack for the nearby plants. There were thousands- if not millions of plants in and around the Great Lake. More than millions, closer to billions! trillions! And whatever else was after trillion, for Millie had just learned what came after millions.

”You have a nice name, and me, popular? I wouldn’t call myself popular,”

Millie simply shrugged. The Slytherin girl- or Min-seo, Millie should start saying, was being brutually honest. Yet nothing she said convinced Millie. The girl was obviously popular; so many people seemed to know her! And Millie was almost certain that was the meaning of popular. Everyone knowing who you are. However things did get mixed up, she was confident that Min-seo was popular. Over-confident.

"Just because you claim you aren't popular, doesn't make it true. A lot of people know you, miss. But that might just be an assumption of mine, and I'm quite sorry if it is." Everything about Millie's American accent seemed to diminish, and the only thing left was a petite British accent. It only showed how culturally appreciated the Gryffindor was.

Millie wiped away some of the tears she didn't know were falling, and took in one last deep breath. Everything was going to be okay; even if it took time.

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I have been super busy with school and we are moving I’m so sorry :(
Min-seo rubbed the girls arm as she breathed. The poor girl. Although they seemed to not get along, she still felt horrible. Maybe when this was all over, they could be friends. She took some breaths of her own and looked at the blue sky and the birds. She turned back to Millie as she said that just because she didn’t deem herself as popular, didn’t mean she wasn’t. She shrugged. ”I mean, you do have a point there. How could I know? I don’t know what people say about me behind my back. If I did, life would be a lot easier,” she said calmly. She smiled sadly as Mille wiped away her tears. ”Are you alright to stand up Millie? I have a feeling that the snow is really cold at the moment,” she said softly. Her legs were numb at this point, but she didn’t want to get up until she knew that she was alright. She retracted her hand from Millie’s shoulder. She was silent for a few moments. She hoped that the girl would be okay.

@Min-seo Kim

The girl made a comment about the snow, and Millie stood up. It was cold, yes, but she was so numb, the coldness didn't seem to have a big effect on her body. She looked over to the Slytherin, Min-seo, and smiled softly. She wanted to say a lot of things, she wanted to apologize, and she wanted to go to the common room, and sleep. She didn't, though. She quietly reached over to Min-seo, and hugged her.

This pent up anger once existing in her soul, was now nothing more than a mere piece of soggy bread. Withering away to something non-existent. Finally, she was able to form words once more, and talk, but she didn't want to say anything, afraid she'd hurt the girl opposite of her. The agony of hurting someone who helped her was more than anything Millie could imagine. She had done it once, what was the point in doing it again?

"I think we should both go inside, and get warm," She started, looking up at the Sun. It was high in the sky, but Millie didn't really pay it any attention. She looked over at Min-seo again. "It was nice making up with you, I hope to see you soon." And with that, she walked away.

Her clothes were damp from the melted snow, but she could put them up to dry, it wasn't a bad thing. But sleeping? It sounded nice.

@Euphrasia Millie

Min-seo tensed up as she felt Euphrasia's arms wrap around her. What? That was unexpected. She smiled and relaxed. She hugged her back. They stayed there for a bit. Min-seo was glad that Millie wasn't mad at her anymore. She didn't want people to keep their emotions pent up inside themselves. It made them more angry and hateful. The problem was, Min did that herself at times. She pulled away from the hug. Millie looked a lot calmer now, thank god. She nodded her head, shivering slightly. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," she said with a smile. She noticed her skirt was soaking wet from the snow, and that wasn't fun when it was super cold outside. She nodded with a smile. "Hope to see you around as well," she said. She watched Millie walk away. She was glad that she wasn't mad anymore. To be honest, that whole misunderstanding was a mess and it was an accident. She was glad that the other girl apologized. She looked out onto the semi-frozen lake, enjoying the view. She then turned around to go back to the castle. Warming up by the fire and changing sounded like a good idea.
