At the time she heard the same spell came out from the chocolate-brown haired girl's mouth, Sere gave her best effort to evaded the spell. This is not an easy move considering that Sere is not that athletic-type of girl, coupled with a record of failure in the previous round. However, these two things were not an obstacle -it was more like a courage- for Sere to do her best in this round. Her effort turned into a good result: Sere managed to evade Renelle's attack.

"Flipendo!"

Hearing Renelle casted the same spell on her twice, Sere was interested in also trying her luck against The Knockback Jinx. Who would have thought that this spell is managed to deliver the perfect attack to equalizing their position? Sere cheered with satisfaction in her heart as she managed to hit the target for the first time in her first duel, but she still tried to maintain her focus and also a serious expression so that she wouldn't lose herself like before.

The same thing as Delainie said comes out of Sere's mouth, "Are you okay, Renelle?" Her words come out with a purely worried tone.

Only a few moments later, the match continued. Sere raised her wand while whispering to herself, "Let's do it better this time!"

The deadly sin pride. She’d gotten cocky early on in the game and now she was paying the price. Sere might not be the best at aiming, but she made up for it with the sheer power of her spell. Definitely way more forceful than her own. Though her opponent had managed to avoid both the spell Renelle had sent her way and hit her, so maybe she had just been waiting for the right moment.

Seriously, couldn’t she at least use original spells? Getting struck with a Knockback Jinx was no fun, and the fact that it was the same one she’d used on Sere prior made it somehow worse. Gasping for breath and glaring at the Asian girl in front of her, she thought about how satisfying it would be to see her…. Never mind.

She quickly straightened up once more and got into position, ignoring the worried inquiries of her two companions. It somehow made the situation worse, which she hadn’t thought as possible. Well, it wasn’t the first time she’d had to eat her words today.

It didn’t matter, at any rate. She consoled herself silently. Duelling just wasn’t her thing. Quidditch was far better anyway- only losers did duelling. It made sense that someone like her wouldn’t be the best at this particular sport.

This next round was good. First two rounds only one girl at a time managed to successfully cast a spell, this time, both of them did. With Renelle strongly casting the green sparks charm, and it hitting Sere square in the chest! Beautiful casting if you ask me. Sere on the other hand, cast the sneezing hex, a new one for me. Either way it was extremely well done, as it immediately made Renelle start sneezing. That spell didn’t seem too nice, to get hit by at least, though I’ve never experienced getting hit by it before. Both of the duellists today were very good, it was quite impressive to watch actually. “Nice one! Both of you!” I cheered out to them. Wow, that was good I thought.

I didn’t want to rush them into the next round or anything so I waited until they both seemed ready. I mean, sneezing everywhere and being hit by spark’s definitely weren’t the nicest, so I’m sure they’d both like a minute. I stood there impatiently, waiting for the two to be ready. When the time came, I said “Alright, since you two both seem ready to continue now, in your places. Ready… go!”

Sere casted a spell that she herself actually doesn't really like, the Sneezing Hex. Sere only casted it impulsively at the time she saw Renelle's expression. The Ravenclaw girl seemed a little bit annoyed, maybe because of the previous round. For the reason that Sere herself actually didn't really understand, she wanted to see Renelle's annoyance turned into anger, as if she wanted to help her opponent expressed her feelings to the fullest. "Steleus!"

The spell successfully hit the target and caused the sneezing effect for Renelle. Sere could imagine how that annoyance turned into anger because of the runny nose effect. Sere wanted to know whether Renelle would say something to show her anger, or she would silently held back her annoyance just like what she did in the previous round.

"Gosh!" Sere positioned both hands in front of her eyes as Renelle casted Verdimillious on her. Is this how she expressed her annoyance? Definitely! Sere feels that her eyes are now dizzy due to the bright green light that come straight into her vision. She is now having a difficulty in focusing herself and can not clearly determine Renelle's position.

The next thing she heard is Delainie's words that the next round will begin. This is terrible! Sere narrowed her eyes. I'm not sure about this round, but let's give it a try. She lifted her wand and shout the next spell.

Sere, once again, perfectly cast her spell, this time it was Incendio. The flames travelled from the top of her wand all the way over to Renelle, who was on the other side of the piste. She caught fire immediately, due to Seres spell. For some reason, maybe she had just been distracted, Renelle never made any more against her opponent. I had never seen something like that before, where someone just stood there. I stared at her, fairly confused, but shrugged it off.

Sere may not have had the best start but she was making up for it now! She had perfect casting almost every time, it was pretty impressive. Renelle too, they both were pretty good. I had only ever been a duellist in a duel, never a moderator, it was quite fun to watch them.

“Okay Renelle, and Sere of course, take a moment to gather yourself, just tell me if you need a break or anything, we could definitely take one if you’d like” I said. Ren was probably just tired, so I wanted to offer them a break. “But if you’re okay, go back to your starting positions now”. I started the countdown, “ready, and… go!”.

I had been wandering the halls, just for fun, when I noticed the doors to enter the duelling club. Honestly, I was pretty interested in becoming a duellist, or maybe a quidditch player, so may as well check it out, maybe it could help me decide between the two. As I entered, I saw tons of people casting spells at one another, magic flying through the air, literally. As I walked farther in, I noticed a pair just about to start casting, when the girl who must have been moderating for them, suddenly ran away. She just took off, just like that, brushing past me and out through the doors, muttering something about being late. What was that all about? I wondered. My mind went back to the girls on the piste, now all alone. They’d need someone to moderate for them still, maybe I could give it a try? It better than noting I guess. I walked up to them, and stood where the blonde girl had been. “Hey, uhm, I’m Kie” I said, cringing at how awkward my words sounded “I saw a girl just run away, so maybe I could help and take her place? I think I know how this works”. I laughed, alright that wasn’t so bad right?

Sere casted the Fire-Making Spell once more. This time the spell managed to hit Renelle despite her eyes that still blinking aggresively due to the Verdimillous blinding-light effect Renelle had casted on her in the previous round. Sere didn't know whether she should feel grateful or disappointed when her Incendio didn't cause any flaming effect. I think I should be grateful, considering this is an unofficial duel.

Sere, with her eyesight that getting better, carefully observed what spell Renelle would throw on her, but the girl didn't cast any spell. Is she angry with me? Sere -indeed- felt that her actions were little bit excessive in the previous rounds, but since this is a duel, Renelle should have known the risk and not take it personally. Sere shook her head, I don't think she is that kind of person.

"Huh? Delainie? Where did she go?"

Sere didn't notice when the brunette haired girl left, but now she could see her walking out and already far away. Not long after, another girl came up the piste and greeted her. She also offered of a help.

"Hi, Kie... Who are y-- Umm... It doesn't matter. Anyway... Yeah, I think we need your help," Sere introduced herself briefly, "I'm Sere, and she's Renelle. Nice to know you." Sere returned to her position and raised her wand, "Luckily we got the new moderator in no time. Now, let's move on to the next round."
