Viva did not like History of Magic class. She thought it was horribly boring. Why on earth did she need to learn about all these things that happened in the past? Wasn't everyone always telling her to live in the present? Well, in any case, Viva didn't like this class. She was sitting in the front row, only because she knew if she didn't she would fall asleep. Arm propped up on the desk, leaning on her hand, Viva stared listlissly at the professor.

When the professor finally told them that the lesson was over, Viva breathed a sigh of relief and stood up to gather her belongings. She turned to exit the room, and gave a start of surprise when she noticed a boy standing next to her. He was very tall, and thin, with dark hair. "Oh, hello," she said cautiously. The boy had the most interesting expression on his face, Viva wasn't sure what to make of it. "I think I might've seen you around once or twice, but never met you before. My name is Genevieve Delacourt, but everyone calls me Viva." She gave Nick a smile and offered her hand to shake. "How are you enjoying your classes?"

Nick's Speaking | Nick's Thinking

Nick continued staring at Viva with some confusion on his face. "What on earth are you doing? God, Nick, what's wrong with your face? We should immediately stop this staring! But she looks really amazing, I definitely want to be her friend!" Nick thought. He turned his face to normal condition and said without stupid confused manner "Well, I'm very glad to talk to you, Viva. My classes... Well, I love History of Magic, but basically I know this subject very well as I have already finished my Work book in HoM, so now I'm totally free on the lesson. And I hate Herbology, I spend so much time doing homeworks in the subject! And what about you?"
Nick now was calm, and he was ready to talk in normal manner. And he still was fascinated by beauty of Viva. Nick decided to become her friend.
"And what do you think about the HoM? And what are you favorite subjects?" Nick asked. "I hope I'm not annoying for her, I don't want to look as an annoying person, yeamn, I should ask her if I'm annoying..." Nick thought in the same time. "I hope you aren't in hurry, I think History of Magic was the last lesson today, but maybe you have some work to do now? If so we can meet in the Common Room in the evening to talk to each other, but... If you don't mind of course!" Nick said. Now he was just waiting for her answer.

"Umm..." the boy, Nick, was staring at her with a strange expression on his face. Viva didn't quite know what to make of it, or what was happening. She brushed it off and tried to listen to what he was saying. "History of Magic is your favourite? I find it immensely boring..." Viva gave a nervous little laugh. "My favourite class would probably be Charms. I like the teacher and the subject, and I love learning how to do all the spells." This boy was definitely making Viva nervous, with his talking and the weird way he kept looking at her.

Viva slowly started shoving the last remaining books in her bag, but stopped when she heard what Nick said next. Did he just ask me on a kind of date? "Uh-um..." Viva did not know what to say to this. Her eyes were wide and she stood there for a moment, thinking. "I - ah - do have work to do, a lot of work in fact," she mumbled, slowly stepping towards the exit. She fidgeted with her pink sweater, fixing the sleeves and such. "Well - it was nice meeting you, Nick, um, see you around?" Viva stepped through the door, about to leave.

Nick's Speaking | Nick's Thinking

While Nick was becoming more and more calm, Viva was becoming more and more nervous. Nick understood it. After her words about History of Magic Nick got a thought "That's rather rude. I'd never say something like that to anybody. Yeh, impolite. Hmm. I don't know what to say in this confusing situation. Mmm" Nick had really no ideas. When Viva said that she had to go to work, Nick understood that she want just to leave quickly. In this case he said "Well, I understand that you're in hurry, but maybe it's possible for us to talk to each other in the evening in the Common Room? I'll be waiting for you there if you don't mind!" these words was so just confusing for Nick... He wanted to force a girl to talk to him in the evening! "What on earth are you doing, Nick? Let her go! She definitely don't want to talk to you, it's just a shame to do something now!" it was common sense in Nick's head. But Nick understood that in that moment he couldn't control his body, he had a feeling as somebody else got a control of his body and was doing some actions which looks impossible for "everyday Nick". It was really strange to feel something like that, but... Nick knew that if girl agreed at that moment, he would go to the Common Room to wait her. And if not... He would do the same. It was a vicious circle and Nick didn't know how to leave it.
"How does it happened?" he asked himself "Just a half an hour ago I knew nothing about the girl and lived a normal life and now I can't control my feelings and my body and I'm also totally crazy. That's strange. Very." all these thoughts were running quickly in Nick's head, but he couldn't do anything...

Viva paused and slightly turned as she looked back at Nick. He would be waiting for me? I told him I was busy... "Um, ok," she said, kind of against her will. "I'll see you later, then?" Viva looked at him quizically as she took another step through the door frame. I don't know if I like this very much. I hope he doesn't like me... She shook her head to rid herself of that thought, then smiled at Nick and gave a little wave. "Well, anyways, goodbye for now. It was nice meeting you." Sort of... She stepped all the way through the classroom door and started walking briskly down the corridor, towards somewhere, anywhere. Maybe I'll go to the library. Yeah... I guess I do have some homework I need to do. Ugh. What even just happened? Viva's mind was working very fast right now, she was confused and a little alarmed. It's probably nothing. I'm probably overthinking things, as usual.

She shook her head again as she continued to walk down the corridor. Ugh. Oh well. Viva turned in the direction of the library, walking down the stairs to the ground floor. Everything will turn out fine... I hope. She still couldn't believe she had agreed to meet Nick later... what was she thinking? Viva sighed a little and kept walking.

Nick's Speaking | Nick's Thinking

When Nick heard the positive answer from Viva about the meeting in the Common room his mind again created to opposite minds. "What on Earth have you done, my darling?!?! That's just crazy, I really believe it was a big mistake to ask her for a meeting and it will be a big mistake if you will go for this meeting. I strongly advise you to be more patient about all these things and just continue living in normal way!" common sense in Nick's head was speaking. "Yes, yes, and another yes! That's amazing! That's an amazing victory, you forced this girl to do the first step! So, you're able to force her to do more and more steps! That's just amazing!" that was a speech of something crazy which appeared in Nick's head.
"Very well then... See you later" said Nick, but his voice wasn't as strong as before as his head now was full of doubts. He was nervous at the moment when Viva was going out.
After several seconds after Viva went out Nick which Nick spent thinking on this new unknown problem, he slowly went downstairs going towards the Common Room to take some books he putted there and go to the Classroom. His head was still full of thoughts, but Nick decided to forgot about them for some time and do all his homework. Nick believed that homework will help him to forgot about the accident and... Yes, he was full of doubts, but finally he decided to write everything to his dad in an owl and this decision made him calm.
