Kaitlyn smiled brightly to Tracey. “You should! From what I’ve seen, you are creative,” she giggled, not knowing the full extent as to the reason for why her best friend would say those comments. While at St. Ann’s, she only entered a writing competition once. It was for poem writing, which likely shouldn’t be a surprise, and she won second place. But, she was terribly nervous the entire time. The stress was bad enough that she had trouble sleeping, so she chose not to enter any other contests.

While Kailtyn was best described as shy and quiet with a stutter, she still did a good job with writing in her advanced placement classes. Her teachers would sometimes highlight her work, much to her embarassment. And yet, the class sizes were small enough that she learned how to interact with her other classmates. Before being sent to Hogwarts, she had just begun to feel more confident in her writing. She had written a poem as one of the last assignments she could complete at her boarding school. She believed her poem to suck, but still handed it in, as it fulfilled the requirements for study. Her teacher told her it was her best work yet.

Coming back to reality, Kaitlyn heard Tracey’s question and giggled, jumping for joy. “Sure, I’d love to hang out with you. And I want to see the Room of Requirement,” she confirmed with a smile. ‘Maybe I can stop fantasizing about Minnie if I go with Tracey,’ she thought. With a bright smile, the young Slytherin skipped her way to the library. A pep in her steps.
