Kaitlyn looked down at her toes, then looked up at Violet, smiled and gently shook her head. “Thank you so much for your concern, Violet. While I normally dance with my sandals on, I think I’ll stay like this for now. I feel comfortable like this,” she shrugged, showing Violet that she didn’t mound walking around barefoot. To be fair, she liked feeling the cool ground under her toes.

At Violet’s explanation for the bow, Kaitlyn smiled brightly. “Why, thank you. I feel honored that you respect me as such. And, I’d love to learn more about your customs, if you don’t mind showing me. I find it very interesting to see what people do differently, and not just between muggle and magical,” she explained. ‘Violet’s my friend, and I’d like to be able to support my friend better,’ she thought.

“Sorry, I forgot,” Kaitlyn flushed at Violet’s question. She kept forgetting that a lot of the students at Hogwarts barely understood her when she mentioned muggle things. “Like ice staking. Or simply just dragging your feet against the floor. Regular skating is completed with wheels on shoes. I tried to give the analogy of effortless movement of your feet against the floor,” she attempted to explain, as she glided around Violet. "Then again, we are both barefoot, so that should help for this," she giggled.

Violet smiled as Kaitlyn said that she would like to learn more about her customs. She replied, "I am so glad to hear that, Kaitlyn. I will make sure to tell you all about my culture as time passes by. I agree with you that it is interesting to know what people do differently. It sure is intriguing. Come to think of it, we all are so different, race and culture-wise, but we all live under the same atmosphere with the same needs. It is so beautiful."

Violet listened to Kaitlyn intently as she explained what skating was. Violet widened her eyes a bit as Kaitlyn mentioned wheels on shoes. To her, it looked exciting. She exclaimed, "Wow! This sounds amazing and exciting. I would like to try it out too. Muggles for real invent such interesting sports. I sometimes feel like I'm missing out on a lot of great things made up by muggles. I want to try them all!

As Kaitlyn glided around Violet, she watched her footwork, trying to break down Kaitlyn's gliding into smaller steps so that she could follow. After a little while, Violet could understand the girl in front of her was first stepping to the side and then sliding her other leg along to meet the first one. 'Side, slide, together', she repeated in her head and then tried it out herself with her feet. "Is this how I'm supposed to do it?"

Kaitlyn smiled brightly to Violet and nodded enthusiastically. “Okay, I cannot wait! I think it’s important to surround yourself with people from different races and cultures. It just makes life so much more enriching as you share stories and customs. I completely agree. I’m happy you helped me in Transfiguration,” she replied, with a wide smile.

At Violet’s reaction, Kaitlyn giggled a little. “I would show you a pair, but I didn’t bring them with me,” she replied. A bright smile danced on her face. “I do have drawings of various muggle items, if you ever wanted to see them. But, yes, I agree. There are a lot of muggle inventions that have no equivalent here, unfortunately,” she replied. “If you want, I can show you one day?” she tentatively offered.

Kaitlyn gave a patient smile to Violet, letting her friend watch and deseminate what she was doing. ‘I could lecture at Violet all I want, but I feel like she’s the type to learn better if she sees me doing it,’ she thought. She smiled at Violet’s attempt. “Good job! Bend your knees a little, it’ll help you to move and not fall over. And remember, nice smooth movements,” she suggested. 'I don't want to make Violet uncomfortable with me, she's a good friend for trying with me,' she thought.

"Don't mention that, I am always happy to help you!And I agree that the experience is enriching. We get to learn so much honestly and I'm always up for some learning.", Violet replied as Kaitlyn thanked her.

Violet smiled brightly towards Kaitlyn when she said she would show her, her skates. She replied,"Yes, I would love to see them. Muggle artefacts have always fascinated me. They are honestly so cool. I would love to see your drawings as well!"

Violet blushed slightly when Kaitlyn told her that she did a good job. She really didn't expect that. She thought of herself as not a really good dancer, although she was eager to learn and loved dancing. She intently heard what Kaitlyn had to say, correcting everything in her posture she found wrong. Violet bent her knees a little, asking,"Am I supposed to do it like this?" She tried gliding once again with her slightly bent knees.

"You know Kaitlyn, thankyou so much for letting me in and teaching me how to dance. I love dancing but I really don't know how to. It really means a lot to me. Also if you don't mind, I have a nickname for you. Only if you feel comfortable with me calling you that!" Violet told Kaitlyn, giggling slightly, as she took a break from gliding.

Kaitlyn nodded in agreement. “Yes, I completely agree. And I have no problem telling you about my muggle life,” she responded, with a smile. She giggled at Violet’s enthusiasm to see the skates. “Ok, will do. Oh, I have plenty to share. I’ll have to pick the most relevant ones, however,” she smiled brightly. Despite being shy and quiet, her drawings were one of the few thigns she had confidence in. She knew she could draw well. A rare feat for her.

Watching Violet’s form, Kaitlyn nodded. “Yes, exactly like that. The smooth movements come with time, however. I don’t expect you to master that immediately,” she continued. “Spinning around does take control. A big space like this is good to practice in, so you don’t get hurt. I lean my body into it, and make slow circles. While you could go fast with them, I like to savor the feeling, if that makes any sense,” she giggled. She glided around a little, and started to spin. As she described to Violet, they were slow, careful movements. Partially designed for Violet to understand.

Kaitlyn flushed lightly at Violet’s thanks. “Aw, you’re welcome Violet. We’re friends. I don’t want you to think you’re not wanted. I honestly don’t mind,” she said, with conviction. “Ooh, a nickname. I’ve heard a few before. But, you’re welcome to call me by a nickname, I won’t mind. What are you thinking of calling me?” She asked with a smile.

Violet listened carefully when Kaitlyn started explaining and slightly blushed as Kaitlyn told her that she didn't expect her to master the move in less time. "Oh, you really think I mastered it? It's so good to hear that, honestly. Wait, why did I even ask that question? Of course, I have mastered this after all you are the one teaching me, Kaitlyn.

She nodded in agreement as Kaitlyn said that she liked to savour the feeling of spinning around and looked at how Kaitlyn spun around. Violet knew she was doing it slower for Violet to be able to catch up. She couldn't help but admire the gracefulness, even though Kaitlyn's steps were really slow and broken down. She tried to follow Kaitlyn's steps in her mind, breaking them down further, looking carefully at how her feet moved and crossed before spinning. The step made Violet slightly nervous. She was afraid of falling, and it looked like a perfect step to fall to. 'But you can't learn if you don't fall right? So what if I fall, Kaitlyn is a friend and I'm sure she won't make fun of me. I need to learn it.', Violet thought to herself readying herself to spin. She crossed her leg, trying to spin but ended up stumbling and mumbled a small "Ouch" before regaining back her composure. "Sorry that was bad. I'll try it again in a minute. Can you show me again Kaitlyn?"

Violet smiled as Kaitlyn asked her what she was thinking to call her. Violet put her finger on her chin, pretending to think and then said, "Well I was thinking to call you something unique. Uhh- What about Lyn!? I bet most people have nicknamed you Kait."

Kaitlyn could not help but to laugh, and even snorted a few times, at Violet’s response. When she was finally able to, she smiled to her friend. “I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it. You’re doing a good job, Violet. I have complete faith in you that you can do this,” she responded, showing a confidence she rarely showed for herself.

As Kaitlyn spun, she slowed down and eventually stopped when she noticed Violet’s uneasy movements. She quickly moved over to her friend, standing nearby her. “I’ll catch you if you fall,” she tried to reassure her friend. She knew just how difficult it was, and how easy it was to fall. When she first learned, she fell a lot. And hard somtimes. “Ok, I will,” she replied quietly. She moved back into Violet’s view, and slowly moved gracefully again. Recounting where Violet was when she figurest started to stumble, she moved even slower. She crossed her legs, and showed herself starting to spin, and moving her body gently to use her weight to her advantage. And she spun very briefly, before she stopped. She moved back over to her firend. “Don’t be afraid to fall. I promise to help you,” she continued with a smile.

Kaitlyn giggled at Violet’s attempt to think, and eventual discision. Lyn. She smiled brightly. “You’re welcome to call me Lyn, I won’t mind, and I’ll know it’s you. May I call you Vio, my friend?” She giggled. “I’m enjoying this,” she smiled to Violet.

Violet smiled as Kaitlyn said that she had complete faith in her. She loved how Kaitlyn was being so supportive of her. Her eyes had slightly widened not exactly expecting Kaitlyn to stand by her side. She mumbled a heartfelt thanks to Kaitlyn, "Thank you so much, Kaitlyn, you don't know how much this means to me. You know, it is really helping me build up the confidence to dance and it makes me so much less anxious. You are really one of the best teachers out there!"

Violet looked carefully, at how Kaitlyn moved, briefly spinning. The girl had crossed her legs and then twisted her body to spin. Violet tried doing the same. This time she no longer was scared of falling, she had complete faith in her saviour, Kaitlyn. As Violet crossed her legs and twisted her body, she was finally able to spin. She exclaimed, smiling, "Kaitlyn! Woah! I did it! Though I'm sure it was not as graceful as you. I will practice it a few more times, and then, maybe you can teach me to do these steps with more grace. Just like you..."

Violet giggled slightly seeing Kaitlyn giggle to what she said previously."Of course, you can call me Vio! It sounds sweet. And I'm enjoying this a lot too.", Violet said and smiled brightly.

A light flush enveloped her cheeks at Violet’s compliments. ‘Vio is such a sweet girl. I love how close we are already, this is great,’ she thought. She giggled at the comment about being the best teacher. “Thank you so much! I’d love for you to gain confidence with this. It’ll be fun to have more friends who know how to dance. Besides, I’m not going to let you fall, especially while I’m the one helping you. While you do learn from mistakes, I don’t want you to get hurt,” she continued.

A bright and wide smile danced on her lips at Violet’s spin. Kaitlyn visibly clapped. “Great job! I know you could do it! Don’t worry about being graceful. That takes time, sadly not something that can be shown in one lesson. I’d love to! Would you like that lesson now?” She giggled. She liked Violet’s enthusiasm, pulling her friend into a small hug.

Kaitlyn giggled, and completed a cute twirl next to Violet, beaming at her. “Lyn and Vio practicing dancing together. It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? I'm happy that you're enjoying this. Please do tell me if you're uncomfortable with any of it, I want this to be enjoyable for you.”

Violet smiled at Kaitlyn, thankful for her thoughtfulness.
She smiled brighter at seeing Kaitlyn clapping for her spin. She knew it was not that great, but the encouragement shown by Kaitlyn meant a lot to her. As Kaitlyn hugged her, Violet gave into the hug and hugged her back. She replied, "Yes, I would love to get a lesson on how to dance as gracefully as you. But I think I'm tired right now, and could do with some rest. Let's sit down here and talk for a while, only if you don't mind Lyn and do not have any other business after this ofcourse!" As she said that, Violet gracefully sat down on the floor, being visibly tired.

Violet smiled at Kaitlyn's twirl, also noticing it carefully and breaking down the steps in her mind. Even though she was tired and was taking a rest, she was a serious and a curious student. "Yes, I love the prospect of us dancing together. I really wish to learn as much as you, and be as graceful as you and then maybe we can be dance partners, performing together? And no, how could I ever be uncomfortable with any of this? I will say this again Lyn, You are the best teacher I have ever had and seriously, you have earned all my respect. You take everything in consideration, from my emotions to my strengths and you managed to make dancing so much more enjoyable for me! Thankyou so much Lyn!", Violet said truly meaning each word she said.
