Library Fun Times!
The young woman shrugged. She didn't mind the security setup that much. Mainly this was because she was used to it, and getting frustrated about it wouldn't do anybody much good at all. "I guess that just seemed like the most effective way to keep other students out in Rowena Ravenclaw's mind." She responds. When asked about having to be a Ravenclaw to solve the riddle, she guesses, "I don't think so. I think you just have to clever enough to solve the riddle."
Aleksi thinks that she needs to ponder some better ways to provide security to the Ravenclaw living space, while still holding true to the spirit of the house, later when she has some alone time. Maybe write some of her ideas down, while she's at it.
As Ruka talks about the skies, Alek listens. She doesn't really say anything, instead just nodding. He lsitened to her talk, so what right did she have to interrupt? When he's finished, she says "I suppose you're right. I'm just a little skeptical, is all." She pulls some of her hair behind her ear.
Aleksi looks down at her lap as Ruka explains things about his mother leaving him and his dad raising him. "I'm sorry, I just didn't want to ask about something you may have not wanted to talk about. I shouldn't have even tried to piece it together." She rubs the back of her neck as she apologizes. "But it's nice that you still get to celebrate your birthday, even though it sucks that you don't know when it really is."

Library Fun Times!
Ruka pondered Ravenclaw's security setup for a while longer, wondering for a split second if Donny would be up for trying to solve the riddle to the Ravenclaw tower and sneak into their Common Room with him but then decided to just leave it be.
He wouldn't exactly like any other students breaking into the Gryffindor Common Room just for the sake of it either.
Instead he concentrated on his fixation on the stars and planets in the solar system, eyes shining and pulse racing a bit as he voiced his thoughts to Aleksi. He and his dad would talk about the stars all the time; it was the one thing they always had, no matter where they slept that night.
However, Aleksi didn't seem very interested in the topic so he decided to spare her any more of his thoughts, instead just nodding a little bit, offering her a small smile. "I get that, no worries," he said, turning back to skim a few lines of his book again. Apparently there were Seers who claimed they only had visions during a certain moon cycle. Interesting, but nothing he should probably try to start a conversation about.
Ruka chuckled a little when Aleksi awkwardly apologised for trying to figure out his family circumstances by herself, and he just waved it off. He wasn't really the type to get upset easily; life had been too hard on him already to let him fuss over little things like that for long. "It's really not a big deal," he said sincerely, shrugging his shoulders. "Truth is, I always thought birthdays were for people who have a big family and friends but... I've never had any friends, and my dad treats every day like it was my birthday, so I've never minded not having a clear date for it." He closed the book to instead concentrate on Aleksi a little more, deciding that he would just check the book out and read it in his dorm before sleeping. "It has to be nice having your birthday in June," he said conversationally. "The weather's usually quite nice, right? I can only guess there's a lot of things you could do outside to celebrate!"

Library Fun Times!
Aleksi sighed in relief when her apology got accepted. The witch bit the inside of her cheek in thought as she heard Ruka talk about not minding not knowing the date of his birth. She twirled her hair around her fingers as she began to speak. "It always rains on my birthday." She said with a smile. "Okay, maybe not always, but almost always. But when it does, it does make for great movie-watching parties!" Aleksi liked to watch movies, most of the time she didn't even care what kind. As long as they weren't boring, because Aleksi's attention span was wayy too short for things she wasn't interested in, she actually had to force herself to read through one of her now favorite works of literature. That work of fiction will remain unnamed for the time being.
While this was very off topic, Aleksi suddenly asks Ruka a question, "What kind of music do you listen to?" The twirling of her hair got a little bit faster than before she asked and she begins to lightly tap her foot. "And do you have a favorite band or singer?" She adjusts her glasses, as they had slipped down her nose a little while ago.
