Musing Grounds Open Finished

Jade listened to the others, Lachlan really didn't know much about the war? Jade was slightly puzzled by this as he seemed to be Wizard-born, or at least he seemed to know quite a bit about magic. Jade looked down at her muggle watch to see it was starting to get close to time for classes. It was still quite a ways away, but Jade wanted to be early. Jade giggled at Millie's explanation.

"I couldn't have put it better myself. I'm terribly sorry but I'd better head off, I want to be early to classes you see and it's now a decent time to head to class. It was nice meeting you, I hope I see you again" Jade said.

With that said Jade headed up towards the castle. Jade loved the Hogwarts grounds, they were so peaceful and the air was so fresh and smelled amazing. Jade liked Lauchlan and Millie, they seemed nice.

As Jade wandered up to the castle she saw the gamekeepers hut. Jade had read about it, or, rather the person who used to occupy it. Rubeus Hagrid, a kind and caring person, who, in fact contributed quite a bit to stoping "The Dark Lord". 

Soon Jade arrived at the castle and headed to class, ready for an adventure, or, a fun learning experience, what's the difference.

Lachlan listened to what Millie had to say and nodded trying to soak as much information in as possible. If this story that Millie was saying was really true that would be awesome. Harry Potter seemed like a cool person! “Wow.” Lachlan said rather dumbly before his eyes lit up to what the wizarding equivalent of a Christmas Tree would be. “That is awesome! I hope we all can have some fantastic stories of our own. Maybe not quite as dangerous though.” He laughed sheepishly at his own comment. Voldemort seemed pretty dangerous.

Jade agreed with what Millie said, was he the only wizard who didn’t know about the war? Maybe, oh well. He was sure others would inform him. Jade had to leave to be early for class, Lachlan supposed he should go too. “Ah, right. Class I had almost forgotten about it completely. This place really is magical. I should probably get going too though. Millie, Jade it was great to meet you both!” Lachlan smiled fully. His first two friends at Hogwarts! He was simply ecstatic. He ran off toward the main building with a wave to the others as Jade walked off as well. It was a good start to the year indeed.

Millie smiled brightly, her white teeth reflecting the unusually bright Sun. She was glad to inform both Lachlan and Jade on the Wizarding War, though it was something she didn't personally know what to think about. There was just not enough information for either the Ministry or the Dumbledore side for Millie to choose. But with what information her parents had, she was able to scrape a bit of biasness from them. Then again, her father worked for the Ministry. Millie's mother was in Dumbledores' Army.

As Jade mentioned her own departure, Millie let her mouth drop agape. It was already time for classes? Again? Classes had only ended what felt like moments ago. She was not excited to return. Millie waved goodbye to Jade as the Hufflepuff made her way back up to the Castle.

 Only then, did Millie notice that the Sun magnified the grand castle. It seemed six thousand times bigger than it was when she had first ever walked in. The time was only a few months prior, but it had felt like years; centuries. Yet she was excited to carry on. Become a second, and then a third year. Age along with Hogwarts. 

Millie waved goodbye to Lachlan as he himself departed. She watched him walk up to the castle, and she let out a soft, unnerved sigh. Her violet-purple eyes shined as Millie herself walked up to the castle.

Let the hard work begin.
