Dear Quinn Quill Pal,

It is nice to hear back from you, too! Aww, thank you! It’s taken me years to learn to write this way (and several attempted letters before they’re sent to you). Awesome! I feel the same way in wanting friends in all four houses. It feels almost complete in a sense. Ooh, owls are lovely creatures! There are just so many different types. I feel like it will be hard to choose!

I really would like to learn to fly. I’m just scared at the same time, if that makes any sense. I’d like to concur my fear. I doubt I’d ever be able to play Quidditch, but I’d like to be able to fly around for fun. I’d love to feel the air in my hair! Are you hoping to play on one of the teams? And I think dueling looks so cool! I don’t know how good at it I would be, but it does look interesting.

Oh, don’t worry about going overboard! I have no idea how much to write. I guess whatever flows through? Oh, nice! Having a friend at a foreign school is always nice! I hope you’re learning a lot about America! But, that’s not good about his parents treating him that way. I hope they can sort that out. That’s good that you have Valerie here. The only friends I knew previously were muggles; so, no, none are here. I previously went to a muggle all-girl’s Catholic boarding school, called St. Ann’s, before I came here. Did you previously attend a school or have any form of education before coming to Hogwarts? I do have a twin sister here and a younger brother that will eventually come here. So, I won’t be as lonely in that sense.

Aw, thank you! Ooh, awesome! Which position would you like? They all sound interesting, in my opinion. W-would you really do that for me? For now, we only know each other through these letters. That does sound exciting, meeting up.

Ah, that does sound a little strange, having her first instance of accidental magic at 12-years-old. I wonder what happens with that. I hope it’s not too confusing. Does your brother want a specific house? They all sound enjoyable in their own rights! I wish I knew more about them before I came here.

Ooh, yes, don’t be late to class just for me. I may not be from Ravenclaw, but I do enjoy attending class.

I don’t want to inconvenience you just for me to have more confidence on a broomstick. I do like the idea, though. We can meet up for it, again if I’m not being a bother. Oooh, I wake up at 6 am on the dot every morning. That’s when I go outside to have a little run around the grounds. Right now with the snow, it does prove difficult at times. I then follow that up with practicing some yoga. When do you wake up in the morning? Ah, my favorite class. I like a lot of them, and there are a bunch I’m not good at. I think I have two favorites. I like Herbology and Potions. Which class (or classes if you’re weird like me) do you like the most?

Aw, thank you so much! I completely agree, a chaser looks to be an exciting position to play! And plenty of hand-eye coordination! I hope you can get on your house’s team, when you do apply for it. Admittedly, I haven’t paid attention to any of that to know how difficult it is to get a position.

Okay, that works for me, as long as I’m not bothering you, too much. I know how busy everyone could be. I just don’t want you to think you have to help me. If that makes sense? Ooh, Gryffindor is a nice choice. I completely agree with your thoughts about potions! I honestly don’t mind if you fangirl about it. Maybe we can fangirl together? What’s your least favorite class? I noticed some of the classes offer internships! I’m very intrigued by the Astronomy one. And, while we cannot do it yet, the healing one sounds awesome too! Do you like any of them?

I do. My twin sister, Abigail is a Hufflepuff. I have a younger brother named Timothy, and he’s magical. He’s two years younger than me, so it will be a bit before he comes. Oh it definitely is, before it gets disturbed by other students. I just don’t like running on the ice. I have fallen before from it.

I am indeed a Slytherin. Ooh, that sounds awesome to have family members centered around specific houses. It helps give you an idea of what to expect, hopefully. I don’t mind answering that question. It was weird when I first came with Abigail. It’s nice to have my twin here at Hogwarts, as I feel slightly less lonely. But, it’s like jumping into the dark, and having no idea what is going on. I admittedly feel lost at times, if that makes any sense.

Dear Quinn Pal,

I am perfectly fine with that name! You sound very motivated, I hope it goes well for you! Honestly, I’m free at any time. Would next weekend (February 10 or February 11) work for you? I should probably warn you in advance that I am shy. I hope that won’t be an issue?

I know, it’s such a nice class. I have some star charts hanging in my dorm room! Trust me, your secret is safe with me. I won’t say anything. History of Magic can get dull.

I’m actually pretty new to ice skating. I’d like to learn to do more advanced ice skating, but probably when there aren’t many, if any, other students around. I’d hate to hit into anyone. I already forget if I mentioned it before, but I like to dance. I’d love to pirouette on the ice!

I’m not too sure if Timothy, my younger brother, would. He’s at an all-boys Catholic muggle school in London. Once my family was told about magic, that was the first we heard of it. He has already shone his first use of magic.

My least favorite class is Transfiguration. I find it hard to picture trying to transfigure animals. Oh, I think it is completely weird to not use muggle technology. I’ve had to learn how to do things again, without a phone in my pocket that could do everything for me.

I think I’m biased, but I like green. Especially a pastel color like mint green. I think it goes well with my complexion. But, I love most colors, anyway. *giggles* I do enjoy reading your letters. They’re fun and make me think, which is the most enjoyable part, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing your silliness.
