Despite how Raizel tries to stay away from the duelling club, she always finds herself coming back to it every single day. She was here earlier, coming across a fellow student who wanted to have an early practice and now after their class was done, here she is once more. Not a lot of people yet as they are still probably settling their things back in their common rooms or perhaps hanging around other places. She should do that sometimes, find other places to hang around instead of coming here from time to time.

Sure, she needs to practice her spellcasting but Raizel needs a break, she needs to stay away from duelling for the time being as it just brings her nothing but pain, not just physically. Yet her feet always lead her here, maybe just a habit now since she has gotten used to it. What caught her eyes upon entering was a pair of students on the piste, and one of them had left a bad taste in her mouth ever since they fought.

Argahlon Vexius, someone she thought was a friend, had turned out to be a good for nothing jerkass and Slytherin wannabe. In the end, he was just one of those spoiled brats who thinks they are so above the other. To think that she once respected him made her scowl. Across him was former duellist, Lily McCoire, the rumored girl with 5 boyfriends was it? With Finnegan Conner as one of them. Nothing much she can say about the girl, aside from her constant freeze up during their first official duel and that sure made Raizel question Lily’s duelling capabilities. Freezing up in the middle of an important duel isn’t something that leaves a good impression on this Gryffindor. Perhaps now she had finally learned how to handle her nerves considering that she and Argahlon are duelling against each other.

Raizel moved a bit closer to where the two were duelling, finding a spot for a clearer view. Both duellists fired their spells, a Flipendo from Argahlon and an Incendio from Lily. While Argahlon’s spell looked a bit flimsy but can still do the job right, Lily had managed to produce quite strong flames. Well, spells are only useful if they hit your target, Raizel knows that much. Both of those hit nothing but air.

From the looks of things, both that jerkass and Lily seem keen on keeping this duel between them going until one of them falls. She won't be surprised if the reason for this is because of that spoiled brat. Well, whatever their fight is about, Raizel is not involving herself between them and she doesn't want to have anything to do with that boy.

That doesn't mean she will stop watching though cause she won't lie, this is a lot better than practicing right now. This is peak entertainment right here. It would be thrilling if their spells hit though cause the next round was just a repeat of the previous one.

Argahlon went for one of the classics in lower years and that's an Incendio. Compared to the Flipendo he shot earlier, this one was a lot better and perhaps can be considered as impressive. But again, it only matters if it hits because wherever Argahlon was aiming, it wasn't at Lily. That spell went by her by a mile. Lily, on the other hand, decides to go for something that Raizel doesn't usually see in duelling. The Curse of Bogies. Nasty, that one is but she sure would love for Argahlon to suffer from it. Sadly, that spell also missed but only by a couple of inches. Looks like that jerkass has some moves but still, it sucks that it missed. That was less impressive than she thought it would be.

Words were exchanged, Raizel rolling her eyes when she heard Argahlon’s response. Mudblood, throwing that word around like nothing. She agrees with Lily, he is a pompous stuck-up pinhead, and perhaps that’s why he thinks he belongs in Slytherin. If she’ll be honest, it’s people like him that give the house a bad name. She sometimes wonders how this school can tolerate people like him, those who think they are so special just because they are pureblood or whatever.

The joy she felt when Lily finally managed to get a hit in. A Flipendo, not a great one but she’s sure it still hurts as hell when it hits Argahlon judging by the sound of it hitting his body. The boy was too busy conjuring up his own spell, a Flipendo and maybe, too into that big head of his that his spell missed its target and even forgot to dodge. Serves him right.

That was the first hit in with Lily at an advantage. Perhaps she is capable of duelling after all. Again, freezing up in the middle of an important duel didn’t make a good impression but perhaps this is her chance to redeem herself for her blunders during that duel. In any case, this duel was still worth watching for now.
