Practicality
Siobhan nearly sighed with relief when she put her violin down, her shoulder straining from keeping it up for hours at a time. She had been hoping to practice more, but what with her rather ambitious course load she could barely get any free time.
'I wish I could play more,' she thought to herself sadly, 'Or at the very least, make some new friends. I won't be a first year for long, that's for sure.' Hesitantly, she picked up her violin, again, plucking at the strings, ignoring the way her shoulder groaned in protest or the way the strings themselves bit into her fingers, which could render them into strips of flesh if she did it for too long. Her bow arm came up, hesitantly, across the strings, but then faster, with more oomph into them.
"Practicality, is for the ones who toil,
Who bend their knees upon their wings, who make their blood do boil
Oh practicality, it seems, is for those ones so true,
Who step aside their fragile things, climb to the top those few
Oh Practicality
Practicality
It isn't what it seems, oh practicality.
But maybe someone other, will see what I do see,
It's good to have emotions but sometimes practicality," She sung, as her bow twitched and turned over her violin. The fast song finally slowed to a close, and she stood there, breathless, panting, eyes glinting. Oh yes, after hours of practicing, she finally had her charm back.

Practicality
Shay walked down the hall, with her cello in hand. She had planned to head down to the rehearsal room, hoping it was quiet enough to play in. When she got there, the doors were closed, of course, but something was being played inside. Shay tip-toed towards the door, opening it slightly. Inside, there was a girl with short blonde-tipped brown hair, brown eyes, and freckles. Shay listened to her play her violin, the girl even sang along while she played. Shay could see her bow twitching and her shoulders were probably heavy. She could tell that this girl had been playing for a while. Then, she had an idea.
When the girl finished her song, Shay opened the door and walked through. The girl turned her head to her arrival. Shay headed to the spot next to the girl. She got a stand and stool for herself. She set her stuff up, then opened her cello case. Shay pulled it out and gently set it down on the floor using it little stick on the bottom. Shay also gt her bow out, but she set that on her stand. Then Shay reached into her case, which was wide open, and got a shet of music out. It was a music sheet assigned to a cello for the song, "All of Me" by"John Legend". Shay placed it on her stand.
Shay reached into her case again and got another sheet of music, assigned to the same song, but for a violin. Shays little sister had started learning violin, they dueted this song once, guess Shay forgot to get rid of it. But, this was actually for the best. She held the paper in the girl's direction, in the way she could read it, and asked, "Hope you're up for another song. If you wouldn't mind, wanna duet?" with a smile that could light the whole world up.
