A Little Bit of Rivalry Open Max 3

Open to anyone who thinks they could rival with Koko. Max 3.

So far, she'd had a terrible day. She'd managed to run into at least four students, tripped over a cat, and crashed into a few suits of armor. She really wanted to hex something... And for a moment, she wondered if the Sneezing Hex would work on an armor stand.

These were the types of thoughts that passed through the mind of Koko Riddle. Angry thoughts. Thoughts that she didn't ever want anyone else to see. Hexing an armor stand... She didn't really think that would work. But hexing a cat...

No, she told herself. She couldn't hex an innocent cat when she was the one to blame. With a sigh, she took a seat on the pedestal that a suit of armor stood on. A scowl had crossed her face. Her normally goldish eyes darkened to a golden brown, reflecting her mood, and she huffed a sigh. No, she wasn't a metamorphagus. She just had hazel eyes, ones that were more gold, and ones that reflected her mood. If she was in a worse mood, they'd darken, and if she was exuberantly happy, they would look like a royal treasury. A royal treasury was certainly something that this child would like to steal from, if she could get close enough. Her alert gaze scanned her surroundings, finding nothing, and a burning hot tear caught in her lower eyelashes. More quickly followed, and, sniffling, Koko buried her face in her knees. She had just gotten a letter from her guardian, and she was not happy about it. Rosalie and Victor would be getting a divorce. That meant one main thing: Koko could leave Rose behind and live with Victor, but in a way she didn't want to leave Rosalie, who would be fractured inside. More fractured than Koko already was...

She wiped her eyes. She'd heard footsteps echoing. Koko cursed under her breath and tried to blend in with the armor stand...

Her day had been anything but good. She was frustrated, angry, anxious. Veronica felt Blue. You know blue, feeling a little bit anxious for no particular reason. A bit sad that she should be anxious at her age. A little self-conscious anxiety resulting in nonspecific sadness, a state she calls blue. She couldn't tell why everything was making her feel blue.

Although the feeling of blue, Veronica kept a soft smile on her face, giving short waves to the students that she passed in the halls. She needed a getaway, somewhere to take her mind off of things. The Corridors were her best bet. She kept her books close to her chest as she made her way between passing students. Taking a few turns, she managed to get herself lost. The corridors were thinning out with students, and Veronica ended up in an empty corridor. But she wasn't alone. There was someone there, someone hiding. "Hello? Anyone there?" She walked a bit further down the hall to find a young girl crying to herself. "Hey, are you alright?" She must've frightened the girl because she heard an audible gasp and the girl tried to blend in with the suit of armor she was against. "Hey, it's okay, I just want to know if you're alright."

River was so done with everything school related. And now she really just wanted to be left alone for a little. She would often enjoy her own company, just her, no one else. She could relax, and not have to worry about anyone else bothering her. Today had not been a paticularly bad day, she was just tired. Tired and done with all the stress with school, and soicalizing. She could feel her head aching slightly, as she headed purpousfully down the streched corridors of the castle. Her brain felt fried, and now it could not handle much any more.

Nope, she needed to be alone, to sit in her quite lonely mind, and perhaps read a book. Or maybe not even that, maybe she would just sit in silence by herself, and rest her eyes on the celling for a little bit.
The common room was always quite crowded at this time, so River had planned on heading somewhere else. Perhaps the grounds? she thought to herself, and looked hopefully out the neares window. Nope... rain... She was definitely not in the mood to get soaked in the rain today.

The library would often be the direction she headed first, but she had already spent most of the day there, with homework. And she did not feel like going back there for the rest of the day. No, perhaps she could just go and sit in one of the rarely used corridors? Yes, that is what she would do, she thought, and headed on her way.

In not long, she reached a corridor she knew wasn’t popular. She barely ever saw people pass through here. River held her sketch book and pencil tight in her hand, as she carried on into the long stone-walled corridor. Decorated with stands of armour as you would see quite often around here.

Finally, I can be a bit alone, she thought, as she sunk down onto the floor, next to a brick pillar. She closed her eyes and sighed lightly. Quiet....

Before she had time to open her eyes, the silence was broken by the voice of a girl. «Hello? Anyone there?», River quickly opened her eyes and looked hastily left to right of the corridor. She sighed, I’m really not in the mood right now... she thought, getting a little frustrated. Was there nowhere around to get some peace? The young ravenclaw shrinked herself as much behind the pillar as she could, hoping not to be spotted by whoever were headed down the hallway.

Suddenly, a girl, a gryffindor as far as River could see, walked right passed her behind the pillar. Phew... River relaxed her shoulders in relief of not being seen. The girl seemed to have stopped a little along the hall, not far from where River was sitting, as she started talking to someone. The redhead, being as curious as she had always been, could not help but look around to see who it was.

And right there, across the hall, only a few meters away from her, the gryffindor girl was standign talking to another girl, whom River did not know. I didn’t know there would be this many people here
