It was already noticable how much chemistry grew between Bailey and Kyler from only a train ride here. Then again, sweets were Bailey's favorite thing in the whole wide world. So kye perhaps won him over the moment he offered those delicious brownies while traveling here. It was nice to have someone to talk to or at least keep you company. Bailey wasn't used to it at all but was thankful for Kyler.

The boy seemed so much more adventorous and strong willed. His eyes simply sparkled with excitement towards the ride they had to look forward to. Honestly, the boys excitement made Bailey even more nervous and a sense of worry flew through him. What if Kye tried to touch the water? What was in that dark water? He could feel his heart race as they enetered into the boat. Sticking close by his new friend.

Two peas in a pod, nearly literally speaking as they sat in the boat before it began to move them along towards the glowing lights that seemed so very far away. Bailey sat upright in the boat and kept control over his breath. His hands shaking in his pockets as he bit down on his lower lip. Nodding in response to Kye's question. 'Yes... Absolutely!' he wanted to cry out in joy but kept his thoughts to himself. He felt a sense of joy and excitement run through him which helped but the fear was too overbearing. "I hope we get into the same house. Even if we don't, you're still my friend kye" he admitted softly in a subtle tone as to mask any shaky nervousness that may present itself.

Climbing into the next boat as it was their turn, Kyler grinned to hear Bailey so heartily agree in the affermitive. "I like you too." He replied finally feeling a moment of privacy after so long in a press of people. "I bet we're gonna be best friends even if we don't end up in the same house. You don't set off my 'too much meter' at all." As far as Kyler was concerned that was high praise. Some people were to much just by being in the same room.

When the boat started to move, without any obvious means of propulsion Ky looked over into the dark water. "I'm pretty sure the new muggle kids are freaking out about now." He spoke more to himself than Bailey, but included the boy in his musinngs. "It seems to me 11 is awfully old to be discovering magic exsists." But then he'd always known.

Sitting back up he let the lights of the castle draw his attention. "How big do you think the classes are Bai?" A shade of nerves hitting his voice for the first time all day. A mental picture of having to get up and display something infront of a class of hundreds blooming in his head, and leaving the boy sticky in a heartbeat.

The fear Bailey felt at the present time was overwhelmed with joy for a brief moment, hearing that kye liked him too and confirming how he as well wanted to be good friends. His cheeks burned in the chill air but disappeared quickly as he had to restrain himself from overreacting as Kye looked down into the dark waters. Bailey's fingers curling into his own black robes as he kept quiet, listening to the boy's words.

'Too much meter' replayed in Bai's head but he didn't understand those words. He was just happy to have found his very first friend at Hogwarts. His very first friend...period. He has never had a friend before in his life. He was already afraid of making a mistake and losing Kye. Smiling as he tried to display confidence in himself but the nervousness appeared more and more with each passing moment. Biting upon his own lower lip as he looked up nervously towards the school and its glowing lights.

Such a huge place, like a kingdom. It looked like a fairytale castle and though it amused Bailey's fancy, it also consumed him with terror. So many students and people. It was nothing he had ever experienced before and so the overwhelming dread of all those eyes on him, examining and judging him. It was almost too much to bare. The tone of tenseness from kye comforted Bailey. At least he wasn't alone. "I don't know. I hope not too many. It won't be too bad if you're in the class with me." he admitted with a smile he struggled to muster.

Sara, like most of the other students-to-be, was very excited to finally get her chance to enter the school grounds. She stepped into a boat, smiling brightly at the other occupants, offering her hand in a friendly gesture to the others as she seated herself and made sure of her footing and hold before relaxing.

"Can you believe it? We've finally made it! Oh I'm sure I'm going to be a Ravenclaw." She said with the upmost certainty, her eyes lighting up at the very thought of being around Ravenclaw tower and all of the books and tomes it held. Poor girl had no idea of the surprise that was waiting for her when she would put the sorting hat on, and be labeled a Hufflepuff.

Her eyes went wide as she saw the castle in the distance, bouncing lightly in her seat with excitement like she was ready to jump out of the boat and swim the rest of the way if she thought it would be any faster to get there. "Mum told me that all of the food here is better than the fanciest of restaurants, is that true?" she asked the other children in her boat, unable to stop talking and squirming around long enough to catch any form of a real answer. Finally, this was it. Sarabeena was going to be a Hogwarts student!

A grinding screech jolted Andrew’s eyes wide open as he felt the movement of the train decelerate beneath him, creeping to a halt. Having stretched himself out on the seat, lying on his back while he dozed, Andrew’s senses tingled with nervous anticipation as he sat upright, alert and awake, wondering if he had finally reached his destination.

Are we here, now?” Andrew peered through the window. Apart from the surrounding darkness, he could see a platform in front of a row of buildings, illuminated by lampposts in the night, as the Express pulled into Hogsmeade station.

Noticing a trickle of students pass by his compartment, Andrew hastily put his shoes back on and stood up to open the compartment door. Sure enough, more and more students seemed to be heading in a single direction as they filed down the aisle. Although he had a gut feeling that it would be best to follow the crowd, Andrew wanted to confirm his hunch first, before stepping out of the compartment.

Uh, excuse me?” Andrew tapped a passerby girl’s shoulder, snagging her attention. “Are we at Hogwarts?

Almost,” the girl replied. “We’re supposed to get off the train now.”

Andrew turned to Nick, shrugging. “Guess we’ll follow everyone else, then.

Swept up by the herd of students that poured out of the train and massed onto the platform, Andrew had no clue of where to go next.

We’re supposed to get all of our stuff, right?” Andrew took a few steps in the direction towards the rear of the train, only to pivot around in a dazed circle as he found himself brushing against the tide of students. He paused in his tracks with a confused expression on his face. It seemed like nobody else was carrying their luggage with them.

Then came a clear, grownup voice that pierced Andrew’s ears, informing the crowd about the luggage situation. Taking the instructor’s word for it, Andrew came up with his own assumptions. Perhaps all of the students had been assigned room numbers, like a hotel, so that their luggage would be dropped off according to which room they were in. That made sense, to him.

Heeding the instructor’s call, Andrew followed suit after the other first years, aiming to stick close to Nick, making sure he didn’t lose his comrade among the jostling throng that threatened to separate the two boys from each other, as they congregated at the shore of a rippling black lake. In groups of four, the students were sorted into rowboats. Without any paddles, Andrew realized.

Nick, over here!” Andrew ushered Nick over to one of the boats, where Andrew had claimed a spot in the middle, making room for Nick to sit beside him. Andrew was given charge of the hanging lantern, gripping the pole tightly with both hands.

As the boats proceeded to sail across the still, moonlit lake, Andrew tried not to let his paranoid imaginings unnerve him, thinking about what else might lurk beneath the eerie waters. At least the burning glow of the lantern helped to ease his fears. Trusting that he was in safe company, he instead fixed his sights on the firelight-dotted castle that loomed closer and closer, as excitement and fear swelled within him.

The screeching halt of the train made Nick shoot up slightly, a while ago and when the conversation faded away thanks to Andrew falling asleep, Nick followed suit, as he laid his head against the glass and let himself get lost to thought and motion. He shaked his head, his eyes slightly closed and still very much asleep. He rubbed them, he was having a nice dream, and the abrupt ending he got was higly unsatisfying.

Nick muttered some half-response to Andrew's queery, and watched dazed as his buddy found out if they were or weren't at Hogwarts. When Andrew indicated it, Nick followed outside the compartment, "Wait, if we aren't quite at Hogwarts... Then why are we getting off the train?, even when questioning it, he got down the train, following Andrew.

He listened to the Lady explain their luggage would be taken to their rooms, and though feeling a bit uneasy, he didn't want to cause a ruckus, so he kept quiet and followed Andrew to the boat he got in, "Aww Man... Did we have to go on boat?", Nick felt uneasy yet again, "I get a bit nauseous on boats", bad memories surged on Nick's mind, and even when that incident happened a long time ago, he worried his weak stomach still hadn't growed up from that.

Andrew coughed into his sleeve, a reminder that his cold was still there, as he and Nick worked their way down the aisle of the carriage, sandwiched between a line of students.

Maybe it’s a side stop?” Andrew guessed, in response to Nick’s remark.

It was evening now, when the two boys stepped off the train and onto the platform. Since breakfast that morning, Andrew hadn’t had anything to eat except for a licorice wand he had bought off the trolley a few hours earlier. Now that he was awake and moving, he was beginning to feel how hollow and empty his stomach was. He hoped he could find some “real food” soon, aside from the leftover licorice wands and chocolate frog that Nick had given him. Speaking of which, he really wanted to brush his teeth right now, after all the sugar he had consumed…

Down by the lake, Andrew settled in his chosen rowboat and waited patiently as the other students were being directed into theirs. He noticed Nick’s hesitation and uneasiness about getting into the boat with him. Andrew had never experienced motion sickness before, so he didn’t think there was anything he could relate, from his own personal experiences, that would make Nick feel more comfortable.

I don’t think we’re going fast,” Andrew commented, casting his eyes over the calm, mirror-like surface of the lake. There didn’t seem to be any big waves that would cause too much of a rolling motion. “Unless if you wanna swim there,” he teased lightly, his more playful side peeking through, as much as his cold would allow him too, anyways. “But if you do have to throw up, turn your head that way.” Andrew motioned to the left side of the boat, away from where he was sitting on the right side.

When everyone was on board, and the boats self-sailed away, drifting farther and farther from the shore… it was Andrew’s turn to feel uneasy. Glancing down at the shrouded depths of black water below him, he couldn’t help but give a small shudder.

I hope there’s no monsters down there,” he uttered cautiously. After a few moments, Andrew snapped his gaze straight ahead, so he wouldn’t be tempted to think about the creatures of the lake anymore.

As the boats drew nearer to the school, Andrew’s breath was taken away by the sheer magnitude and size of the castle, the scale of which he couldn’t have imagined would exist outside of storybooks. Coupled with the fact that he was now a wizard… It really did feel like a fairy tale.

Once they reached the docks at the castle, and the students would unload, boat by boat, Andrew would turn to Nick with an anxious, quivered sigh. “You ready?

Climbing out of the rowboat, Andrew followed after the herd of students, trembling with nervous excitement as he entered through the doors of the castle.

Sitting on the boat, he could feel the really cold wood, even through his clothes, which brought a feeling of chill to his whole body. Even when they hadn't sailed, the castle was visible, and even from afar, it was huge. The whole shape and general structure depicted by it reminded him of a castle of similar dimensions to this one he saw on a videogame, though that videogame was about killing Dracula, and he doubted that Wizards were high on Vampire Hunting.

Andrew's jokes and comments brough a smile to his face, at least he had a friend with him, so he wasn't all alone on this boat ride that might result on part of his inwards becoming outwards, "Sure, sure, just do the same if you get nauseous for any reason", he joked back, but the boat was indeed not going very fast. His fingers clenched unto fists, awaiting some feeling on his stomach, his fear of showing up like puking would make him show up eclipsed whatever wonders he had at the boat moving on it's own.

However, as minutes passed, nothing happened, and he relaxed, breathing with calm, "Guess my stomach's grown up since... that", he commented, glancing at Andrew with a smile, just when he said something about monsters on the water, "Don't worry dude, I'm sure there are a ton, but they eat much bigger fish than us", he put a sinister smile on his face, then laughing away. Nick never was a kid to grow scared easily, at least not with horror stories, social and actual (Not stories) problems were the ones that got on his nerves.

The rest of the ride went smoothly, Nick got some amazing views at the giant castle, loving the castle itself and hating he didn't bring a camera, his mom would love something like this. When they got there, reality hit Nick, and he felt his stomach full of dread at the sudden realization that he had to enter that World fully, leaving behind his muggle life, for now at least. He looked at Andrew, who asked him if he was ready, which he responded with a bit of a smile with worried eyes, "You betcha I'm not! But screw it! Let's go Andrew!", he tried his best to pull some courage, leaving the boat and following everyone to that big and looming castle.

When Shay had gotten off the "Hogwarts Express", Lincoln has to fly to his dorm. She watched him go, then headed to the great lake, where all first-years were supposed to meet up. She rolled her suitcase over. When she got there, there was a woman standing in the middle of a circle of students.

"Attention all First Years! Please follow me! All other years please head to the carriages behind me. Again, all First Years, please come this way to me, do not dwaddle, we have a Sorting Ceremony to get to! Leave all your baggage where it is, all of your things will meet you in your respective houses after the Feast. There is no need to lug everything around for no reason."She announced. Hurrily, Shay dropped her suitcase and headed to join the circle of students.

Once a few more students joined, the woman lead them all to the lake. There, boats were waiting. Everyone was sorted into groups of six per boat. Shay ended up with five other boys, great. Once everyone was in, they started their way down the water. The sun was on the break of the mountain, just peering over its point. When Hogwarts was in view, the woman let us stop and take a moment looking at the school. It was even more impressive than when Shays big brother had described it.

The the woman pointed straight upward. Everyone tipped their heads, including Shay. At that moment, the sun had retreated. The sky turned midnight blue, white stars scattered around. It was magnificent. After that, everyone headed to Hogwarts. From the boat ride to the sight of the school, and the starry sky, Shay knew that this year was going to be just fine.

Donny was extremely nervous to become a first year. Strictly speaking, he was even more nervous about what house he would be sorted into, but that was just another adventure awaiting his arrival. The night was quite reasonable to Donny, a little humid but the breeze from the lake was just enough to spice up his experience. He followed the group of other awaiting first years, some as equally nervous as he, others confident and eagerly watching their steps. He didn't feel the need to talk, but once in a while he'd hear a few of mesmerized  "Whoa!"'s and small heads turning up to look at the grand entrance of Hogwarts, the stone shimmering at the bottoms of the bridge.

He finally boarded his boat, he didn't take the time to recognize anyone in his boat, for his eyes were pierced on the view of the castle, each time the candle light shimmering through the stained glass grew bigger as the magical boat neared the land. Then, he found himself saying it, yes, he did a number like this, "Whoa!" a young, greedy look of admiration on his face. He'd be living here for months on end, and it was definitely better then his old house on 17 Forester road, England.
