ROFL. Very well.
A set of clasped hands
And free hands meeting waists
Feet gliding over marble
One set in one direction and the other set in another direction
A time honored ritual
Full of respect and trust
A spin here, a spin there
Careful coordination
Mirrored movemnts
Pretty partners move around each other
Pretty dresses flowing through the air
Bright smiles outshining bright lights
A giggle here, a giggle there
A chrous of footsteps
As the music guides
From the notes flying through the air
As each dancer moves her body
Not from rehersal
Not from a plan
But from a desire to intertwine their fates
Beats and tempo elate
As the music grows
To support their desire to impress, but not outshine.
Where the spotlight is trained on them
In a room of faceless individuals
Or in an empty ballroom.
